8 Means to an End

Gazing upon his next adversaries, Ghidorah wondered if this was even worth it.

The twisted and defiled forms of the former nymphs would cause a lesser man to scream in terror. An almost poetic contrast to their preceding beauty that could capture the hearts of men and women alike. The ugliness of Circe's jealousy is crystallized through them.

The one above the water, Scylla, possessed the traditional form of a hydra. With 8 long heads famed for their regeneration and two legs that granted better movement than her serpent tail provided. The stench that reeked from her being Scylla's worst aspect in Ghidorah's mind.

However, in terms of abhorrence, she did not compare to the monstrosity that lurked below the depths. That made even Ghidorah question if the power he gained would be worth sinking his teeth into the large worm that is Charybdis.

"You do not need to do this, Ghidorah. No one would blame you if we fled Greece to seek power elsewhere. Personally, I bid that you do, my lord." Hecate's voice was filled with uncertainty and disgust. She had underestimated just how sickening these two are.

However, her words were not heeded. Even though Ghidorah himself was having similar thoughts. "This is not just about power any more, Hecate. This is about using Echidna to further our goals. Just she as wished to do to us. Besides, I am going to think of this as training."

For there are far greater abominations out there that he may have to fight in the future. And if he cannot devour their power just because of their repulsive flesh, then he would be missing out on a lot of power that could be used to further his ascension. Thus, he must remove that limitation here and now.

"Of course, you would." She remarked with a deadpan.

Gaining a smirk from Ghidorah who turned his attention away from the sea. Allowing him to look over the mountain they stood upon. One so far away from the water the two monsters inhabited that normal men would be unable to see them.

"What can I say? It's a part of my charm." Ghidorah boasted. As if being willing to do anything for power was some desirable trait in a man.

"Whatever." She shook her head before turning serious. "Getting back to why we are here, everything has been set up. All that is needed is your success for this plan to flourish."

Nodding his head, Ghidorah turned his attention back toward his adversaries. "Let's hope everything goes according to plan then, shall we?" He asked.

With a chuckle, Hecate teased him. "Oh, I'm sure it will, Ghi."

The nickname catching Ghidorah's attention as his head snapped back toward her. Only to be met with magic notes floating around where she once stood. Signaling her departure.

Clicking his tongue, Ghidorah wondered if he would ever understand the strange creatures known as women. He doubted it though. So, he refocused on his mission while making a note to get her back for that later.

Breaking into a dash, Ghidorah jumped off of the mountain. His eyes glowed gold as his signature storms began to brew before releasing a single lightning bolt that struck him. Creating a large cloud of smoke that was dissipated upon a single beat of his wings.

His true form was revealed in all of its glory as he soared through the skies. His large wings more than doubled his form and causing him to travel at a speed humanity would never reach. For such is the power of dragons. Walking masses of power that bring about ruin.

Releasing the hold he had upon his aura, Ghidorah roared toward Charybdis and Scylla. Who turned their attention toward him instantly. Not even bothering to identify their challenger or gauge his strength. Only making the effort to roar louder than him.

Which brought a smirk to the dragon's faces and when he got in range, he attacked. His mouths glowed gold as he released his gravity beams at Scylla. Decided to get rid of her first and foremost as she possesses the greatest range amongst the duo.

Who sent out her own attack in return. Bathing the sky in flames before impacting with the gravity beams. Her eight heads proved useful as they pushed Ghidorah's attack back. Displaying her formidable strength.

However, Ghidorah is not the same as he once was. Forming magic circles in front of his heads, he infused gravity magic and enhancement magic with the gravity beams. Dying them red as they overpowered the hydra. Knocking her back.

'Hmmm. I will call those Red Gravity Beams. For simplicities sake.' Ghidorah thought with a shrug.

Landing on Scylla's island, Ghidorah kept up the pressure. Knowing that the Hydra possesses formidable poison, he kept his distance and turned his middle head toward the sky. Creating a large magic circle and utilized his weather magic in conjunction with his natural storms.

Materializing a hurricane so grand that the sea itself became restless. The Hydra did not even acknowledge it however as it shook off the effects of the Red Gravity Beams and roared at Ghidorah. Angered at the pain it felt.

Yet this rage did nothing to protect her from the massive lightning bolt that slammed into the island. Charring her flesh and making Scylla scream out in pain. However, this large attack caught the attention of the monsters lurking in the depths.

Which is why Ghidorah slowly turned around and came face to faces with the giant worm that towered over the island. With no eyes whatsoever it attacked blindly and dragged it's body across the island. Knocking both Scylla and Ghidorah off the island.

And sending Scylla into the sea. As she possessed no method of flight. Unlike Ghidorah who became airborne and turned his attention toward the worm. Who sensed him and turned toward the One who is Many.

"You're even more disgusting up close, Charybdis. Honestly, what did you eat to become that large?" Ghidorah asked in genuine curiosity. After all, it was not every day that you see a 60 m-long worm.

As if she could hear him, Charybdis let out an ungodly screech and lash out with it's tail. Causing Ghidorah to let out thrill-like laughter as he took to the skies. Flying high above and out of their reach before steading himself in the clouds.

Looking down upon them, Ghidorah watched as Scylla crawled back onto the island and started fighting with Charybdis. "Man, these two really are mindless fools." Ghidorah shook his head in disappointment. Honestly wishing for them to put up more of a fight.

But he knew that wouldn't happen nor did he have the time for it. Thus, he decided to end it here and now. As this could go on forever just like his fight with Igneel did and looking at them, Ghidorah could tell that they would not be dying any time soon.

But to kill them is no simple task and would take nothing less than his strongest attack. So, as he floated in the air he twisted his three heads around each other and formed a single magic circle above them.

Then, he charged up his gravity beams to their utmost limit. Using most of his power in the process and fired off the three massive gravity beams toward the large magic circle. And when it hit it, the energy was directed and dispersed. Creating thousands of miniature gravity beams that rained down upon the fighting monsters.

"Total Chaos!!!" The name of the attack was chanted as Charybdis and Scylla were pierced and impaled by the rods of gravity. Displaying their hardened state as the beasts were pinned to the ground. Disintegrating their flesh and causing them to shriek in unbearable pain.

And after two full minutes of the constant attack, it finally ended with Ghidorah sighing in exhaustion. The cost of that spell was both mental and physical. As not only did you have to expend an insane amount of energy, but you also have to direct that energy with immense precision.

As such, Ghidorah just let himself fall out of the sky. No longer using his wings to keep himself afloat. Certain that this was far more enjoyable and allowing himself to slightly recover from the strain he felt.

When he neared the island, he spread out his wings. Instantly killing his momentum and letting himself land easily. Looking upon his downed foes, he realized that while Charybdis had died, Scylla's regeneration has stopped her from doing the same.

Which has only led to her suffering endlessly as the golden pillars remained impaled in her body. Vaporizing her flesh just as quickly as she regenerates it. Changing that regeneration into a curse rather than the gift it should have been.

That is why Ghidorah approached her first, biting into the flesh of the monster and draining it of the power that kept it in that torment. Increasing his size and power once more as his scales became harder and his senses became sharper.

The skies trembled under his storms as his royal aura conquered his surroundings. Which was only increased when he devoured Charybdis with some reluctance. The disgusting flesh of the beast making him do a double take but it was absorbed all the same in the end,

Evolving his body once more and increasing his stored energy to a level he had never experienced. Causing him to let out a full-blown roar in his power drunk state. Spreading out his wings in a display of his full height of 75ms.

However, this action was not unanswered.

The pure destruction that Ghidorah's rampaging aura caused was enough to wake up the beast that dwelled in the depths of the sea. Forcing it out of it's slumber that it so beloved and it hated that. So, with a roar it swam toward the surface of the sea to punish the one who awoke it.

Which was sensed by Ghidorah instantly. Drawing his attention toward the sea as he growled at the presence he felt. Knowing that this being was not to be taken lightly as it's aura alone spoke of great calamity. A level of disaster that rivaled his own.

When it finally breached the surface, Ghidorah realized who this was with a start.

It's humanoid upper half was a bit confusing but he would never mistake the eight tentacles that made up it's legs. There was no doubt. The being who stood at equal height to himself was none other than...

The Kraken!
