55 Chapter Fifty Five

The light tap on her nose roused her from the light doze she found herself in. The demon Lord pulled back and lifted oversized towels from the edge of the tub.

Rina took a few long blinks before she realized she had fallen asleep in the tub.

"How long was I out for?"

"Just a few minutes,"

Damien had a fluffy white towel wrapped tightly around the bones of his hips. He leaned down and helped her out. Modesty was thrown out the window as she allowed him to pat her down dry before wrapping the towel around her.

"Thanks,"

He trailed his fingers down her arm leaving a trail of goosebumps behind before taking a hold of her hand. Her legs still felt like jello but the tension in her muscles had melted away.

The clear and casual affection being shown to her was opposite to what the demon Lord normally expressed. The delicate ways he treated her brought forth a sense of calmness. It wasn't something she ever expected.
