The Demon Lord Walks Among Us (Non-explicit version)

First things first: This is a rework of the original version, made to be R-15 or something like that, as the original one is R-18+ or whatever you want to call it. Basically, this version removes the sex. That's… basically the only difference. If I have to remove this version, so be it. I just figured that it might be something more people who would like it could read, so… Yeah. Now, onto the warnings that were basically cut-and-pasted from the original version, with some edits. That's what all of the chapters will be like, by the way… save for one or two that get basically everything cut out.

Warning, this is going to have some really, really, really long chapters. 30k+ characters wouldn't be uncommon, and 20k is normal. (That's about 6k or 5k words, respectively) You've been warned...

Also, here are the bigger/more important warnings. This will have some sexual themes at times, (though not any descriptive sex or anything like that) as well as some other aspects you might not like. The used language might turn some people off of this, and so could the fact that there is both romance (probably poorly-written, because I suck at writing and have no experience with any romantic relationships, but I'll try) and a sizable amount of violence, including the fact that the vast majority of the story is told from the PoV of a somewhat cold-hearted character, so, as I said, you've been warned. Read at your own discretion and all that, blah blah blah, I hate writing these warnings. Also, I'll warn you now that some of the relationships are the kind that start with sex (or at least, start with erotic acts) and progress from there. There will also be a large number of references to other works of fiction, mainly anime, light/web novels, and manga, but there might be some others as well.

This is my first time writing something like this, though I've written a few fanfictions and about as many originals before. I chose to write this because I was, honestly, getting a bit bored with keeping to Teen/R15/whatever ratings, even when I really, REALLY wanted to go further, but I couldn't because I'd already set the ratings and written dozens of chapters as such. Yes, I could have written side-stories that had all of the non-R15/whatever parts, but that... I dislike making that sort of thing for some reason, maybe because it feels a little choppy? (note: you'll probably find several such parts in anything I write even so...) Also, there is probably not going to be anything at all resembling a fixed release schedule for this, it's just going to be released as I write it, I think. The other things I'm writing... well, those I have a huge backlog of... Like, one of them has a backlog of 35 chapters and counting at the time of writing this, the others are at 6, 4, 3, and one has been dropped before I uploaded anything, but I'm kinda tempted to pick it back up at some point... No, five things is more than enough. (I say that, but... I'll probably have another one or two I'm working on by the time I get through the backlog of 35+)

EDIT: (As of the middle of chapter 6) You know how, sometimes, you look back on some of the stupid things you said or wrote, and want to shoot the you of back then, then shoot the you of the present? Yeah, this is one of those times for me... remember what I said about how "30k+ characters wouldn't be uncommon"? I wrote chapter 6, which, as of right now, is at 74k characters and isn't very close to being fully written and/or edited, and editing tends to make the chapters LONGER, oddly enough. I'm predicting about 100k... (Went back to this AN after writing and editing chapter 6, it is, coincidentally, exactly 100000 characters, no more, no less, if you include the AN about it being about 100k characters long... Good (Demon) Lord...) There's less violence in the beginning chapters than I'd originally planned, and it's probably going to stay that way for the rest of it. MC is less cold-hearted than I'd intended, she got dragged into politics even though she didn't want to have anything to do with politics and I didn't want to write about it because I hate it myself, but I can't write my way out of that part... In other words, I'm going to have to rethink almost all of the tags. Still a harem though! That's not changing one bit. I like harems, I would like one myself, but I've never had even a single GF/BF/one night stand/drunken fling/anything, nor even gone on a single date... not even a fake one to convince an ordinary friend's parents that they really have a partner so said parents can stop bugging said friend about finding a GF/BF/getting married/whatever... (insert sound and maybe even description of author's tears that said author doesn't want to write at the moment)

EDIT 2: (As of mid-c8) Remember how I corrected myself and said that the MC isn't cold-hearted after saying she is? Yeah, she just said "It's a pleasure to kill you" before she beheaded someone with his own axe, so I don't even know anymore. I've also given up on writing much romance at all... fill it in yourselves, I guess? Also, I've found a place to maybe publish this (Webnovel.com) but I'm not sure if it allows fanfictions, so my other things might actually have to be on another website. They haven't been published anywhere, at the time of writing this... Also, this entire AN might have to be (and it is) its own release, if it gets much longer at all. Maybe. I'm not sure about the length limits on releases, but I might end up splitting each chapter I've written into several parts... like, maybe even 5 or 10 parts for the longest chapters.

EDIT 3: Yeah, they allow fanfictions. I'll put one of those up at some point…

Tentative release schedule: Four parts (each part being 1k to 2.5k words, averaging ~1.5k once I get to where I started writing longer chapters) per week until I get through my backlog, then one or two parts per week after that... hopefully. Again, no promises. Maybe released in batches or one at a time, depending on my mood/IRL stuff/whatever. Probably batches posted on/around the weekends (friday-monday, because timezones and to give myself room in case of being busy on sat/sun)

Also, if anyone knows how to make words be bolded or italicized, I would absolutely love to know how to... same for indenting paragraphs and so on. I can't figure it out, and it's bugging me a bit.
