2 The Demon King Has His Wife

As he flew into the air with Yu, Dai wondered how the woman felt. He gazed down to gaze at Yu and the woman was sleeping peacefully while holding onto his shirt. Despite his disdain for humans, this woman made him smile at her.

Dai didn't mind that the woman was napping on him. He guessed that she probably hasn't gotten any sleep since the war have started.

His wings were ready to pop and because he haven't released his wings in a long while, it was slightly painful when he put his wings back into his body after he landed on his chair. Yu stayed on his chest because he didn't have the heart to remove her.

Dai ordered his army to move on. "Sir, is it wise to let them live?" His bull commander asked him. Dai smirked at the demon.

"Whether they live or not depends on them." He responded. He gazed down at his new wife that he received from sparing the humans. The woman was beautiful, even to him. He held her tighter to him.

"She will make a great Queen, my King." The bull demon tells Dai. Dai looked at him. He was shocked, but he didn't show it on his face.

"Are you sure about that, Eli?" Dai asked Eli. Eli transformed into his human form with brown hair and brown eyes. His bull horns were still on his head and he had a bull nose ring. He was more larger than Dai, but Dai was much stronger than him. Eli was also taller than Dai, a fact that Dai admired when people learn that Eli is younger than him.

Dai waited for Eli's thought out response. He knew that Eli always think before he speak to anyone. "Yes, sir. Her heart is pure, I can tell by just being around her." Eli reveals to Dai, who smiled at him.

"This mere woman has a pure heart?" He asked, wanting to see how much trust Eli put into his new statement.

"Yes, her heart is more pure than that commander we came across." Eli says quickly, making Dai's face break into a much larger grin.

"That's perfect. Maybe there is a human that doesn't wish for war." Dai commented on the purity of Yu's heart. He knew that whatever Eli say, it happens to end up true a lot. Eli doesn't comment much on people, so when he does comment, it's serious business.

"She doesn't seem the type to want war to happen. If anything, she's the kind of person who wishes wars doesn't even exist." Eli says, gazing at Dai. Dai smiled at the woman in his arms.

"At least she isn't trying to kill us." Dai says, gazing at Yu. He was glad that Yu wasn't like most humans. The humans are trying to rid the world of the other races except the humans, but even then, the humans fight each other to rid the world of the bigger race.

Humans are cruel creatures. Dai was slightly angry at his own thoughts as he stared at the woman sleeping on his chest. "Yes, but King, what shall we tell the council? You have a mortal for a wife." Eli tells Dai.

"Leave the council to me. Besides, I have to ask her properly, don't I?" Dai asked Eli.

"Yes, sir." He answered with a tone that said happy to Dai.

"Ask me what?" Yu's sleepy voice made a small jolt of happiness run up his spine.

"I was wanting to ask me to be...Yu, will you marry me?" Dai asked, holding out purple and pink flowers for Yu to take.

"How sweet of you. But, aren't I already your wife, King Dai?" Yu asked Dai, who was shocked at this. His shock was very visible.

"You're alright with being married to me?" He asked, acting awfully kind and a little shy.

"You're a kind Demon King. You haven't hurt me and I trust you." Yu tells Dai.

"You...trust me, a demon that can easily snap your body in two?" Dai was extremely surprised by Yu's words. He thought that the woman would be frightened of him, but he didn't expect this. She wasn't arguing with him about being his wife, not even the main details: He's a demon and she's a mortal.

"Like I said, you are no threat to me." Yu tells Dai. Dai knew that he should be insulted by Yu's sentence, but he knew that she was right. Dai didn't want to harm her and thus, Yu isn't in danger by being with Dai. Yu had took the flowers from Dai's hand and she noted how pretty they were.

"That's good. I wouldn't want my own wife to be afraid of me." Dai tells Yu. Yu giggled at Dai and Dai smiled. He could appreciate the fact that the woman was sweet. Yu had the compassion of a woman that could be considered a goddess's compassion. Yu smiled at how happy Dai seems to be while he is conversing with her.

"Well, isn't that a good thing?" Yu had asked Dai. Dai merely grinned in response. He agreed with Yu and he let Yu know that. Dai gazed over at Yu. My new wife is so lovely. He had said mentally. He knew that the woman had never felt feelings for another man judging by the way she was acting with him. Yu smiled at the flowers.

"Pretty flowers for a beautiful woman." Dai had said without thinking. When Yu had realized what he had meant, Yu blushed a deep kind of scarlet. Yu felt the heat from her face as she turned away from king. Dai looked concerned until he had remembered what he had said. His blush wasn't heavy, but it was still there and visible.

Eli had left the two of them alone as he felt that they were ready to converse alone. Dai turned to the nearest tree to gaze at and a sound of a tree cracking got his attention.

Dai snapped his head to the direction of the sound and in a panic, he rushed towards Yu, who noticed that a hand was coming towards her. Yu screamed and it shook Dai to his core.
