Arrows of the Centaur (Part 6)

Dai was having a nightmare as he moaned and groaned in discomfort. He was dreaming about the centaur army slaughtering his army and then Eli and then Trelawney. Worst of all, Yu was being slaughtered very slowly. He could see the blood running down her arms, breasts, thighs and everywhere else on her body. He could hear her choked sobs. He could hear her screams. He could hear very insane cackling. Dai screamed, his hand that was on Yu's arm heated up, causing her to scream in scream. Dai woke up to Yu crying. At first, he was confused, but he then smelt something burning. He gazed up at Yu's arm and he gasped in horror. I hurt her! He thought. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to." Dai tells Yu sadly.

"I know. You were having a nightmare, weren't you?" Yu asked.

"I'm sorry." Dai told her again. That wasn't the answer she was looking for.

"Answer me!" Yu shouted in a mix of both pain and anger. Dai growled loudly.

"What does it matter now? It doesn't matter to me and it shouldn't matter to you!" Dai shouted back. Yu grew even more angrier.

"Tell me what happened." Yu spoke in a calm voice.

"I refuse!" Dai shouted, powering up into his half-dragon form. Yu powered up into her Lightning Maxina form and she was willing to fight Dai to make him see sense.

"Lightning Double Punch!" Yu shouted, both of her fists being enshrouded in lightning as she leaped at Dai. Her attack had hit first, causing Dai to roar in pain. Dai breathed fire at Yu and Yu dodged it. Due to her burn being healed by her Maxina, Yu could see a scar forming on her arm. She then realized that they're having their very first argument and fight and she sighed sadly. "Dai, this isn't like you. C'mon, calm down." Yu's plea for Dai to calm down was heard and Dai had froze.

He suddenly remembered that he was just shouting at and fighting his wife and guilt overtook him. He transformed back into his human and he felt bad for burning Yu. "I'm sorry." Dai repeated. Yu smiled at him.

"I know you are and I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have pushed you to tell me if you didn't want to tell me in the first place. I acted out of line. I'm sorry." Yu apologized to Dai and Dai smiled at Yu.

"I acted out of order as well. I didn't have to shout and I should have controlled my actions when I'm sleeping. I'm sorry as well." Dai tells Yu.

After they had both apologized to each other, they were surprised that no one had woken up due to their shouting AND their fight. They figured that everyone was too tuckered out to even bother with what was going on. Dai and Yu just laughed. "They are so tuckered out." Yu says, gaining a smile from Dai.

"Yeah and that meant that you are a great trainer." Dai says, pulling Yu towards him.

"We've had our first argument and fight and despite the entire thing, I feel even more closer to you." Yu tells Dai. Dai smiled.

"Well, I was always told that arguments and fights were normal in married couples." Dai reveals to Yu. Yu then thought about it and she realized that she had never actually paid attention to people before she was given to Dai as his wife. Ever since she was given to Dai, however, she pays a lot more attention to people. She figured that it was a good thing that she started doing that because she can figure out the mood changes so much quicker and easier.

Yu and Dai stared at each other for a moment and their faces started to get closer and closer to each other. Before their lips could connect, however, a sound had shocked them out of the trance and they gazed around the area they were camping out at. Neither of them knew it, but they both felt dismayed that they couldn't kiss at the time that they wanted to kiss.
