Damien had his arm around my waist and held me steady.
"What are you doing?"
"I am taking you to see your mother."
"Or your trying to get close to me."
"Do you want to see her or not?" he asked.
"I want to see her," he tightened his hold around my waist.
"Ready?"
I knew he wanted to get closer to me that is why he was taking this long. I nodded and shut my eyes tightly.
"Crystal?"
I heard my mother's voice, when I opened my eyes she was standing right in front of me. "Mom," I hugged her.
"How are you?"
"I'm fine."
Damien had a bored look on his face, he couldn't wait for the drama to start.
Laura turned to look at Damien, "Stay away from my daughter."
"Laura, just tell Crystal the truth."
"Are you hiding anything away from me?"
I wanted to know if what Damien said was true, was she my real mother?
"Crystal, I don't know what he is talking about. I am your real mother don't believe anything he said to you, I was only trying to protect you by sending you to heaven."
Damien smiled he had caught her, "I never mentioned anything about you being her real mother."
A tear rolled down her face, "tell me the truth, are you my mother?"
This was what Damien was waiting for, he wanted to make it worse, "it was your plan to send her to heaven? why would you do that?"
"Stay out of this," Laura said.
"Are you my mother?" I repeated the question when I didn't hear a reply.
"N..No."
Crystal burst into tears, "You lied to me all this years, why?"
"I didn't mean to hurt you I only wanted to protect you."
"Who are you?"
"I am your aunt," she replied.
"Where is my mother?" I asked.
"She is d..dead."
I never got a chance to meet my real mother now she is dead.
"Crystal, your mother was my younger sister, I made a promise to her to keep you safe, she also made me promise to treat you like my own daughter and never tell you anything about her."
"I will never forgive you!" I yelled. My head began to spin before I fell unconscious.
When I was awake, I was in Damien's chamber. He stood next to the bed and stared at me.
When I tried to sit up on the bed, Damien pulled up a pillow to place it behind my back, "how are you?" he asked.
When he didn't receive an answer, he said, "Forget everything that happened, you need to be strong, your mother won't be happy to see you like this."
"Where is my mother?"
"You must be hungry," he said because he didn't want to answer her question.
"Answer my question, Where is she!?"
"She is dead, Crystal."
"No, she is not! I am going to find her," I got up ready to step out of the room when a hand fell on the door to close it back,
"You are not going anywhere, your mother is dead."
"She is alive!" I pushed him away but he was quicker and smarter than me, he grabbed my arm and pulled me closer.
"Let me go!" I hit his chest but he just stood there and let me take out my anger on him.
"Crystal, she is dead."
"Are you not listening to what I am saying?"
Damien had enough, "Enough!" he yelled, "Your mother is dead."
I didn't cry anymore, I just let him hold me.
It was all his fault, he would have never let her see her aunt. He didn't want to see her like this.
