Damian covered the soldier's mouth as soon as he heard Roxana's words, "Forgive me, My Lady. I will try to keep them quiet."
Unfortunately, the atrocities committed by Damian went beyond human limits. Despite his efforts to silence their mouths, the other soldiers would start screaming in fear whenever they saw Damian tearing apart the flesh of their comrades.
If they had been given a chance to live, perhaps they would have gone mad from witnessing the terror of a hellish person like him.
Did Roxana pitied them?
The answer was no.
Roxana did not pity them, not in the slightest.
Ever since Roxana's lousy fire magic appeared when she was ten, everyone in the Duke's manor immediately turned their faces away from Roxana and decided to ignore her.
Basically, a noble family's residence was similar to a war zone, where the children would compete for the position of the future head of the family, and the servants and soldiers had to decide which side they should serve.
If they chose the wrong side, they would only suffer because, usually, noble children with the potential to usurp the position of the main heir would be exiled to a distant place or possibly killed.
And Roxana was in a position to threaten Rosaline.
She and Rosaline were born as twins, so their positions were always in the gray area. Therefore, the entire Duke's manor always wondered which lady they should serve.
However, after Rosaline showed her prowess and Roxana showed her uselessness, everyone in the manor flocked to Rosaline's side.
Roxana never even had a personal servant because none of the servants in the manor volunteered to be her personal servant, and none of the soldiers offered to be Roxana's knights.
All of them always looked at Roxana like Oberon's trash, so Roxana decided to look at them in the same way.
In the end, the soldiers' lives also seemed like trash in Roxana's eyes, neither valuable nor worth saving.
The battle between Damian and the soldiers was brief. In just a few minutes, Roxana no longer heard the sound of shouting or gunfire.
The room was silent, and Roxana could only hear the sound of footsteps slowly walking toward her.
"You can open your eyes, My Lady."
Roxana slowly opened her eyes. At first, she thought she would be confronted by a horrifying sight filled with blood, but as her vision returned, the only thing Roxana could see was the figure of Damian, who was standing in front of her.
His body which was bigger than Roxana's managed to become a barrier between Roxana and the corpses lying behind his back.
Although Roxana couldn't see the ominous sight, she was still able to smell the metallic stench that wafted through the air. The odor was so pungent that Roxana had to cover her nose with a handkerchief to avoid feeling nauseous.
"You did it very well." Roxana raised her head, staring into the demon's crimson eyes that still exuded a thick killing aura. However, the murderous aura gradually turned softer when Damian looked at Roxana.
"All of them are effortless prey to kill." Damian smiled widely, feeling proud of being able to eliminate hundreds of soldiers in just a short period of time.
"However, I think many soldiers are still wandering outside." Damian directed his gaze toward the door. Although the door was closed, Damian could feel the thick fear aura from behind the door. "They will probably run away out of fear. My Lady, what do you want to do to them?"
Roxana turned around and lowered her head to look at her parents, who were now lying on the floor. Julius was increasingly losing the ability to move. At the same time, the poison in Camilla's body began to react and made her writhe in pain as she felt needles piercing her body endlessly.
"Can you seal this place?" asked Roxana.
Damian, "Just tell me your command, and I will grant it."
"Damian, I order you to seal this place with your magic." Roxana said without hesitation, "Seal every door, window, and all exits from this manor so that no one can escape."
Whether it was soldiers, servants, or her parents, Roxana did not want a single person to be able to step out of the manor without her permission.
"As you wish, My Lady."
Magic energy that was as red as blood ran through the entire Oberon manor in a matter of seconds. Every door, window, or secret passage from the mansion to the outside was firmly sealed.
No matter how hard the soldiers or servants broke down the door, they would still not be able to get out.
"Roxana, you really have lost your mind!" Camilla shouted loudly. She tried to crawl over to Roxana, but the poison in her body had frozen her muscles, making it difficult for Camilla to move any further.
She gritted her teeth and clenched her fists tightly. Camilla's eyes, which were identical to Roxana's, radiated a deep hatred for her daughter. "Don't you have any respect toward your parent?!"
"Respect?" Roxana chuckled. "Why should I respect you when you can be so insolent to me?"
"Mother, my patience already ran out."
Camilla growled in annoyance, and so did Julius. He no longer cared about the poison in his body and unleashed his fiery magic.
"Roxana! Even if I die today, I will also take you with me to hell!"
Julius slammed his hand on the floor with force. The magic energy in his body accumulated in his palm so that as soon as he touched the floor, the burning flames instantly spread across the entire floor in the dining room.
"Do you think you can beat me?!" Julius' fire magic wrapped around Roxana, trapping her in a circle of burning heat. "Roxana! You are just a pebble, so how can you possibly kill me who is the user of this sacred fire?!"
Roxana heaved a forlorn sigh, she cast her gaze to the floor, staring at the flames that began to creep toward her feet.
Even to the point of death, her parents never felt any guilt toward Roxana and still insulted her.
If Roxana thought about it further, it seemed that both of her parents had given equal love to Roxana and Rosaline before. She even remembered that her mother used to read her fairy tales before she went to bed, and her father would always take Roxana shopping for lots of pretty dresses and sweet cakes in the city every weekend.
However, once Roxana was declared to have weak fire magic, they immediately looked away and gave her the cold shoulder.
At that moment, Roxana realized that her parents had never loved her as a human being. They paid a lot of attention to Roxana because they thought she would become a diamond in the future and be able to bring a lot of profit to them.
Unfortunately, Roxana did not grow up as a diamond or gemstone but rather as a worthless pebble.
If only her parents had never changed and still given her the love they used to, perhaps Roxana's fate would not have ended like this.
"I will indeed not be able to defeat your magic, Father." Roxana lifted her head. She swallowed all her sadness and processed the weak feelings into anger. "However, he was able to kill you."
When the sacred fire almost touched Roxana's feet, Damian stepped on the fire to extinguish it.
Julius widened his eyes as he watched Damian's actions. The sacred fire had always been declared unquenchable by water or magic, but the black-robed man was able to extinguish it just by stepping on it.
Julius began to wonder, was he really the demon summoned by her daughter?
"You say this is the sacred fire?" Damian smiled wryly, then touched the flames before him with bare hands. He clicked his tongue a few times and sneered, "The fire in hell is even a hundred times hotter than this fire."
Damian swung his hand to the side, bringing in a cold wind that was able to extinguish the flames in a split second. He tilted his head, then looked at Julius with an arrogant demeanor. "Tsk ... Tsk ... this fire can even be extinguished instantly with just a little wind."
Julius widened his eyes, he tried to crawl backward to get away from Damian. His eyes were filled with fear, and he didn't even care about his immobilized wife, who was trying to grab his hand.
"Who-who are you?!" he shouted out of his lungs.
"Who am I?" Damian strolled toward the Duke of Oberon with a sinister smile on his face. Every time he stepped forward, the fear in Julius' heart grew stronger until his whole body was trembling. "I am your daughter's strongest weapon."
