'The Archetype – Beings born with an absurd aura that granted them unbelievable powers. Though, that Aura tended to be so powerful that it affected the child's personality. As a result, people tended to have certain personality or power traits, a set group of abilities or things like those. The Hero, the Idiot Savant, the Child Prodigy, Royal Hero, Rival, and so on and on. It could be said every Job or Build that existed had an Archetype. An Archetype the Thief would be far more powerful than regular Thief…uh…it doesn't matter. The Age of Gods…' Aurum covered his eyes with his forearm, 'I need to leave that age behind. Still…it bothers me that a Hero is here. If so…then it's opposite. Demon King Archetype would come into existence too.'
"I can hear you thinking."
"Can you," Aurum wanted to move his hand away when she moved his hand for him. He gently opened his crystal blue eyes to look towards the woman with brown hair and brown eyes, happy, inquisitive and teasing eyes, "did I wake you?"
"No," Luna rested her chin on his chest. She stroked his chest, running her finger over his pecks, watching her sharp nail slide over his muscular skin, narrowing her big brown eyes, "I am older than you…I might be able to help you with whatever is bothering you."
"Then…the problem is—"
"No, you are going to tell her?!"
Luna blinked, seeing the girl with golden hair abruptly sit up with a desperate look in her eyes. She almost looked hurt and Luna could guess why, 'was she waiting for him to open up…? Hah…you have so much to learn…so adorable~!'
"Well, she asked," Aurum raised his upper body, supporting himself on his elbow as he looked towards his cute little sister. He looked at her face in confusion, seeing her hurt expression which bothered him, 'ah…I better choose my next words correctly or I am going to get stabbed in the back.'
"Eve…I wouldn't tell Luna if she asked a thousand times. It's only because you are here that I am even thinking about telling what is bothering me," Aurum carefully chose his next words, appeasing Eve, "anyway…about the thing that is bothering me…"
"Is that all you have to say to me!" Eve gripped on the fur near her knees, lowering her head in anger. She was expecting more than one lie to make up to her.
"You don't want to hear it? I can tell Luna all about it?" Aurum teasingly looked at her, raising his eyebrows.
"No way!" Luna pouted her lips, "I am hurt when you said that you wouldn't have told me."
"You know what…I'll just talk to Val about it," Aurum lay back down on the bed, closing his eyes to rest after a tiring workout session.
"No…big brother," Eve lay down beside him, resting her head against his shoulder. She closed her eyes, feeling the warmth of his skin, "I want to know too…I have been wanting to know for so long. I am sorry I haven't asked before. I was…"
"I know," Aurum opened his one eye to look towards Luna, who was still pouting, with her face turned away from him, "It's like Val said…and she probably said it because she heard from Luna…until now…I have been trying to survive."
Luna's ear twitched as she heard his voice, "Now…we have settled down…and I am empty. I don't know what to do. I have more regrets about the past than I can count. I have lost most of my powers. And I…I don't know anything other than surviving…so now that I have the chance to live. I am blank," Aurum shifted his body to sit up on the bed.
He looked around his room, seeing the stone table and chair, along with the two rectangular holes that did the work of the window. He enjoyed listening the sound of insects coming from outside, feeling the presence of the two, the girl and the woman, their naked bodies brushing against the fur under and above them, his thighs touching against their bodies, their upturned eyes watching his every move, "I could help Luna now…and keep Eve safe…but other than that…what am I living for?"
'Till now…I have only lived to find Paradise. That was the only thing that kept me going was the desire to find the place where I could be away from war and bloodshed, where I could find peace…but now that I am here…this is guilt? For having escaped that Hell alone?'
"Oh, that's a tough question," Luna sat up beside him, clapping her hands together, "Heh, how about teaching the students? So those children don't die in their journey of becoming Totem Warrior."
"Not interested," Aurum breathed out a troubled sigh before he turned to look at Eve, who fluttered her eyebrows before resting her head against his shoulder.
"I won't say I am a stranger to these thoughts…after having lost my Tribe…and the reason of my existence. My…responsibilities and roles. I am not even sure what I am doing anymore," Eve muttered. She nibbled her lips, "I am going with—I'll do whatever big brother wants me do and how he wants me to live."
"Ugh…you two," Luna covered mouth, darting her shocked eyes between the two, "I knew Aurum…I didn't think Eve was doing something so unhealthy."
"It's not unhealthy," Eve puffed her cheeks.
'No, that is pretty unhealthy,' Aurum retorted inside his mind only to meet with Eve's sharp glare that pressured him to take her side.
"No, it is very unhealthy to do that," Luna pulled on the fur as she sat up and leaned against the wall. She rubbed her chin, "that won't do. Then is there something, anything that you two want to do?"
"If it was as easy as asking that question, then I would have a goal in life," Aurum shot a look at Luna, who winced. Her cheeks were flushed red as she stared at him.
"What, I don't hear anyone of you coming with plans!"
"Hm," Eve thoughtfully stared at the wall. She pulled her head back, shrugging her bare shoulders, "No. I am…"
'No, I shouldn't put so much pressure on big brother,' Eve nibbled her lip, "I have no idea either. I don't even know where to begin. All I even knew was the duties I had to perform at the Maiden of Seraphim…without that…."
"And you?" Luna whispered towards Aurum, wanting to hear his answer.
"I…"
'Ok, let's think about it. I am in my Paradise…there is a chance that Demons are here. It doesn't matter if they are here. I will deal with them if they show themselves. I can't live my life thinking about Demons…then I can live in peace, train with Eve…help Luna with her troubles in the Tribe,' Aurum scratched the back of his head, 'what then…?'
"Listen, both of you," Luna clapped her hands together to draw upon their confused gazes. She took a deep breath, "Do you know why I started the Academy?"
"Didn't you say it just now? So that fewer people die on their journey to become Totem Warrior?" Aurum repeated the words she told him a few moments ago.
"No, that's not it. You see…after Tribes started forming, we saw a new change. Until the Tribes were formed, if two nomadic groups were to meet, they would either share their resources or avoid each other. They remained at guard because they didn't have knowledge of what the other tribe could do," Luna explained, reminiscing, "Yet, once the Tribes settled down, their ways, their creed and nature, their power and standing, all of it came became known. Superior Tribes, Lower Tribes, Tribeless…"
Luna tightly gripped her fist, feeling the anger reach her throbbing throat, "others accepted it and went with it! But I! I always felt as if we had dirtied the pure world we used to live in! There was Good! There was Monsters! Yet, we invited Evil and Power into our Homes! I hate this world! I hate the Tribes! I hate the Superior Tribes who use the Need of others to demand whatever they want of others! Because I hate it all…and because I can't stop it…I created the Nameless Tribe. Here! People who hate this new system can come and live in peace. They can search for their own answer…they can be free!"
Aurum backed away as she drew closer to him, looking into her eyes filled with burning passion for what she believed in, "this Tribe is a way out! I hope one day, everyone from any Tribe can live here in peace! It is because I want this Tribe to be for everyone that it does not have a Name! I want to leave a way out for the future! Beyond so-called Superior Tribes, Lower Tribes. Before this ugliness permanently takes hold of our people! I wish to break it! Or at least…"
She powerlessly sighed, "at least give a few people a way out. I understand if that is not what you want…"
"I am not so sure," Aurum interrupted her. He knew what her next words might be and so he looked towards Eve, who seemed to be waiting for his decision, "I want more than that. I have been saying…I have been thinking that this place is my paradise and I would like to maintain the status quo…though from what I have seen. That's impossible. That's why…I want this place to be more than the place that is like my paradise."
He covered his face, letting out a long breath as a laugh escaped his lips when he realised the simplest thing, 'it was right in front of me.'
"Big brother?" Eve raised her body to come in the line of his sight, "what is with the creepy laugh?"
"My laugh in not creepy," Aurum pulled her cheek. He shifted his gaze towards Luna, who was waiting for his answer, "Like I said…I have been saying to myself…this place is my paradise."
"Your Paradise?" Luna felt he was trying to tell her something when he smiled.
"Keyword being…MY."
Luna parted her lips, seeing the serious look on his face, and she covered her mouth with the back of her palm, giggling, "Hahaha…oh. You are serious? I know I asked you for some ambition…don't you think that is too much?"
"It's not like I have anything better to do, and now I have the reason to teach those brats something. Let's start with baby steps and kick out one of the factions from this Tribe. Eve, do you mind helping me with it?"
"No, I would love to," Eve watched his with sparkling eyes, 'mother…if big brother's goal is met…we might be able to live together again. I want that.'
Unknown Space,
"Ai, me your sister~! You Ai~! Ai~! Me your sister~! You Ai~! Papa doesn't recognise~!" the chibi girl with black hair happily walked with spring in her footsteps. She strode through the empty copy of the Nameless Tribe. She jumped, flying across the sky before landing on top of the mountain peak that over the Nameless Tribe.
There was the young girl with long blonde hair that were sprawled over the ground. She remained still, sitting with her legs cross, her yellow kimono with flowers printed on it fluttered with the strong winds at this height. Her fingers rested on the sharp blade, resting the pitch white sword on her knees.
"Ai~! Hehe, papa is completely fooled by me. He thinks I am you."
"Is that so? How did you manage that?" the girl calmly asked, holding a smile on her lips, without opening her eyes.
"Hehe, it was simple. All I have to do is show my interest in stories."
The girl felt an arrow hit her chest, shaking her visible.
"Carry a sword on my waist."
"Geh—"
"And be stupidly optimistic!"
"Ugh—you, cheeky!" Ai caught the black-haired chibi girl, pulling her cheeks, slowly opening her dichromatic eyes, "and…what went wrong?"
"Hehe…nothing goes by you does it…well…a Hero appeared in Deshante…"
"A Hero?"
"Yeah…I am worried…Papa will remember you…and if does!" the black-haired girl held her head, "then what if he asks who I am! It is too early for him to know who I am! It will mess everything! It is all your fault!"
Ai closed her right scarlet eye, looking at the little girl with her emerald one, "How is it my fault? Who was the one that messed up father's reincarnation."
"Ehh!! That is not my fault! Who would have thunk that Totem Spirit would go as far—"
"Excuses," Ai gently patted her big sister's head, who puffed her cheeks in complain, "the way he is now…my aura would be too much for him. He might be affected by it. Say…he feels different…"
"Oh, papa decided that he is going to Rule Deshante…"
"Rule…again…" Ai closed her eyes, "Geez…always he does that…no matter the time or place or the world…"
"Hehe…after all—"
"Shh, I don't want to hear another word from you!" Ai stretched her big sister's cheeks, "this is all your fault! Knowing that he had forgotten things! That he was misunderstanding! You should have reminded him who you are! But you went along! Why?!"
"What do you understand!" the black-haired girl slapped her little sister's hand away, "of all the things he remembered is you! I am going to act like you and then when he realises who I am! I am going to grill him with all that guilt from over the years!"
Ai pulled away from the girl, looking at the demonic laugh on her as she plotted on her future vengeance, 'it's not his fault…the strength of my aura must have left a mark. His memories are jumbled or lost…I wonder what he thinks is real…and what he is not remembering. Hah…Dad…be careful. She's a sadist, just like you. Dad…I can't wait to see you again. Till that day comes…I will watch over you. Till the End of Time if need be.'
