Fateful Encounter 2

How much does a drunk man need to drink before he realizes that he can drink no more? Eliana questioned herself.

As if one was not enough, another could be seen walking towards her table and she sighed inwardly. They were indeed waiting for Lilian to leave before swamping her.

Everyone speaks of the charm that she possessed, but all it ever did was bring along with it unwanted attention such as this.

"You all must leave before something happens to you," Eliana said, although she knew they wouldn't understand her or the meaning behind her words.

"Isn't she just lovely? She thinks we would get hurt," the first man who was already seated said, and the other laughed. A third soon came and stood beside her, he reached his hand to touch her hair and grinned when he did.

"She is a rare beauty, indeed," he uttered and they all laughed once more.

Eliana knew she should leave but she didn't want to do that. Lilian would be back here and she didn't want them to be separated and have to look for each other in a place filled with scum such as these.

Before the man's hand could touch her a second time, her hand shot forward, her fingers clasped around his wrist. Eliana was disgusted just from the contact that she made with him and the urge to hurt him along with the others surfaced. Her eyes flickered and their color changed but she appeared oblivious to it.

"I said, LEAVE!" Eliana said, stressing the last word, her voice low and cold, almost like a growl, sending chills down the spines.

At the far corner of the same floor where Eliana was, a man was seated just watching for her. The distance between them was so great and the people scattered around the floor should have made it impossible to spot her, but that didn't seem to be a problem to him.

Something within him stirred the moment she walked into the club. With his eyes, he had followed her movements until she settled here with her friend whom he had come to know as a reporter. Someone who was not allowed within the confines of the club but she had found a way in without being noticed.

He watched as she was approached by a group of drunkards. The discomfort that she felt could be seen in her expression but she remained seated making him wonder why.

He heard her warning them and his interest in her grew stronger. He wanted to walk over there and get them away from her but he also wanted to see what she could do to hurt them. At that moment, he saw her eyes flicker and their color changed.

He didn't know when he shot to his feet and began walking towards her at a great pace.

"Master," his subordinates called but he paid them no heed and continued to march ahead.

His foot halted midair when he saw her stand to her feet and knocked down a man who was more than twice her size easily and an amused smile slowly crept its way to his lips.

The people around scrambled away, creating some distance between them and the fight they thought was about to take place.

"The little one possesses some skills," he muttered. His obsidian eyes glimmered in delight.

His subordinates who had caught up to him saw this and exchanged glances with each other. This was their first time after serving him for so long that they had seen him smile but that was not all, the luster in his eyes also came as a wonderful surprise.

"Should we help the lady, Master?" one of them asked. Whoever she was, they would keep a close eye on her.

"No need," he said and his image became a blur. He was seen standing beside the red-haired woman with his hand on the neck of one of the men who attempted to attack her.

"He didn't have to do that himself, we are here for that purpose," another of his subordinates muttered.

"Perhaps he just wants to have some fun, it has been so long since he played with humans," another said and they all nodded, standing at a little distance to watch.

"She said, 'Leave,' didn't you understand that?" He asked the moment he appeared beside Eliana, startling her.

Eliana took two steps away from him before taking a proper look at him. She could only see his side profile but she was already captivated by his beauty. Shaking her head, she cleared her thoughts. It was not the time to admire strange men.

She watched the man in his grasp struggle to keep his breath but fail.

"Stay out of this. This is between us, it has nothing to do with you," the first man who's also the last man standing, said.

His words angered both Eliana and the man beside her. He threw aside the man that was already in his hold and was about to take a step towards the foolish daredevil of a drunk when he felt a dark yet familiar aura from her and the next thing that happened was the man burning up in flames and screaming.

"I warned you, didn't I?" Eliana said. She felt no pity for the man who was wailing at the top of his voice for help but all those that he approached only avoided him. They were shocked and alarmed by the unnatural event that had just manifested before their eyes.

The man stared at her and noticed the aura that he felt slowly disappear until there was not a single bit of it left in her. Had he not been right beside her, he was sure he would also question his senses. But before it could completely vanish, the other two men who were lying on the floor, were also caught in flames and those near them screamed and created some more distance between them.

He flicked his fingers and the flames were extinguished. Eliana turned to look at him, surprised by what he was able to do. She knew to only destroy things and people with her words and thoughts but never to stop it.

"Are you not afraid that you will be hunted?" He asked. He had his hands behind him and his eyes holding her gaze.

"Everyone, including myself, will forget this ever happened before morning," She replied and his brows pulled together. "Thank you for your help, although I could have handled it on my own. If I remember who you are by morning, I will come to find you, there is something I must know and you possess the answers that I need," Eliana said.

Her image faded away, and within just a second the place where she once stood was left vacant.

"Master," his subordinates returned to his side.

"Find her." This scene held a similarity to what happened in the past. Until now, he was still unable to find her. All he knew about her was the name she had mentioned which he was not sure was complete. This red-haired woman might be her or his only clue to finding her.
