He seemed like a loyal person to Tala, and I was assuming they had grown up together. I was thankful to learn he had already found his mate otherwise I would have surely been jealous of this Beta Wolf and that would have put another kink in the plan.
“What about Oliver” I asked, gritting my teeth. The very idea that he had tried to blackmail Tala grated every single one of my nerves. The only thing I wanted from Oliver was his blood on my hands as I tore his heart from his chest. “He cannot be trusted; he will turn on you at the first opportunity. Do not underestimate him.”
“Jack has my father’s trust at the moment,” Tala’s eyes went to Jasper and they shared a harrowing look. “If Jack has my father’s trust I am hoping Oliver does as well. I think I have a way to make him help us without compromising our plans.”
“Care to share that plan” Jasper skeptically asked and Tala shook her head at him.
