Mr. Mo's Personal Assistant

Liu Chaoxiao didn't know what to say. He looked at the man in front of him in disbelief. As long as he could remember, he knew Mo Yanlin didn't want to have a female assistant because he was trying to avoid rumors. Apart from that, he didn't want to have any relationship with a woman, most especially those from his company.

But, the reason why he accepted a female as his personal assistant was what was bothering Liu Chaoxiao.

"Who is she? Does she have the ability to be your personal assistant? Did you check her family background? Do you know what she is after?"

Mo Yanlin frowned at Liu Chaoxiao's annoying questions. He rubbed the space between his eyebrows and said, "You will know on Monday"

"What?" Liu Chaoxiao's eyes widened in disbelief. "You are allowing her to start work on Monday?"

In PRAD, after the interview with the executives, one would be given a reply after two weeks and if you are qualified, one would start work the next Monday, but Liu Xiuying was interviewed and given the job in one day.

It made Liu Chaoxiao surprised.

"What's wrong with allowing her to start on Monday? She is already my employee and has started working here in PRAD" Mo Yanlin's voice was deep and calm. When he saw how Liu Chaoxiao's expression was, he asked, "What's with this shocked expression?"

"It's just that…" he paused, not knowing how to say the remaining words.

Mo Yanlin looked at him, displeased. After a while, he averted his gaze back to his computer and continued to work.

After Mo Yanlin had finished taking a shower, he came out in a black bathrobe and walked towards the balcony. The cold night breeze blew heavily, ruffling his hair, making him look sexy. He lowered his eyes to look at his phone, staring at the number on the screen.

He was thinking whether he should call the number or not.

After a while, he couldn't make a decision and closed his phone, tossing it on the couch behind him.

His cold dark eyes seemed to shone in the night as his lips curled into a smile.

The days flew quickly and Monday came. Liu Xiuying was dressed in a corporate PRAD wear as she walked into the company. With her ID hung around her fair neck, she looked very beautiful.

As she strode forward, everyone who passed by her would stop to take another look at her.

Liu Xiuying felt embarrassed under their gazes, but she felt better when she saw Zhen Tai. She walked towards him and smiled, "Assistant Tai, good morning"

Her smile was pure and sweet. When Zhen Tai saw her, he couldn't help sizing her up and praising her beauty in his heart.

"This way, Miss Liu" he made a gesture with his hand.

Liu Xiuying could hear some whispering softly about her identity, but she didn't care about those things. Right now, her heart was pounding loudly in her chest. She was going to see Dai Mao's big brother again and she still hadn't recovered from the shock she received the other day from him.

As they moved closer to Mo Yanlin's office, she started to regret coming to PRAD. Her fingers nervously clutched the stripe of her handbag, her lips tightly pressed against each other.

The moment she entered the room, she caught sight of Mo Yanlin with his back facing her. He stood by his desk, one hand pressing his phone against his ear and the other in his pocket. He was speaking English and talking in a low, calm voice, but Liu Xiuying felt her heart beat with every words he said.

Suddenly, Mo Yanlin turned his body to face her. The light from the sun, landing perfectly on his body, making him look extraordinarily. He looked elegant and handsome in his black suit.

His thin, pink lips were moving, saying every word perfectly.

Liu Xiuying's body froze. She wanted to look away from him, but she felt it was difficult to do so because of how handsome he was.

It was when she heard, "Yes, Mr. Louis, my manager will get back to you" that she was pulled out her trance and she looked away.

Did he catch me looking at him?

Liu Xiuying's heart skipped a beat.

"Miss Liu, you are here. That's very good" Mo Yanlin looked at her and smiled. "Zhen Tai will take you to your office"

"Mr. Mo, good morning" Liu Xiuying said after she made sure she was well composed so she wouldn't embarrass herself.

"Mm" Mo Yanlin only gave her a glance and looked at Zhen Tai, giving him other instructions.

Liu Xiuying heaved a sigh of relief. 

At least he isn't looking at me.

"Assistant Tai, I'll be going to my office now" Liu Xiuying spoke up, smiling at Zhen Tai as she turned to leave.

Just as the tip of her fingers touched the door knob, she heard a deep and cold voice say, "Hold on!"

Liu Xiuying felt her breath stop. Slowly, she turned her body to look at Mo Yanlin. "Mr. Mo?" She smiled.

Mo Yanlin's face had turned cold and his brows were furrowed. His eyes were on her short skirt that revealed her long, fair and slender legs which appeared very sexy with the black shirt.

Is this what she wore? How come I didn't see it when she walked in?

Liu Xiuying lowered her eyes, following his gaze. Her eyes widened when she saw that he was staring at his legs. She pressed her legs together feeling uncomfortable.

"Miss Liu, you don't have to wear skirt, just put on pants from tomorrow on"

Liu Xiuying became confused. 

Isn't this the corporate dressing for every female employee in PRAD? Why do I have to wear something different?

But Mo Yanlin was her boss, so she had no right to refuse. She nodded and hurriedly left the office.

"Mr. Mo, this…isn't that PRAD's corporate wear? Why do Miss Liu have to wear pants?"

Zhen Tai was confused.

Mo Yanlin raised her head and his dark gaze landed on him, making him tremble. His voice was cold and deep as he spoke, "Do I have to tell you why I do my things?"

Zhen Tai trembled slightly.

He shook his head and hurriedly left the office.

Mr. Mo's temper is becoming worse with every single day that passes by.

Liu Xiuying didn't have much to do that morning and when it was lunch break, she went to the company's restaurant to see what she would eat. It was her first time in the company as a staff member, so it made people stare at her curiously. Those who didn't know her asked their colleague who she was and those who knew her already looked at her with envy and jealousy.

How can she be Mr. Mo's personal assistant when they have been working here for ages.

What ability did she have?
