9 Chapter 8

A young man with silver hair stood atop a rock pillar near the edge of a cliff. Yes, this pillar was in the water.

He swung a black, blunt, seemingly heavy longsword. Around his wrists and ankles were thick, black bands.

From the way he moved, it was clear he was practicing his swordsmanship.

He was barechested, his muscles bulging as sweat dripped down from his handsome face and his body.

Many would find him very attractive if it wasn't for the fact that he very much looked like a child about to enter his teens.

A cute, fairly high pitched voice could be heard from beyond the cliff and near the edge of the forest near the foot of the mountain.

"Lucien! It's time to eat lunch!" After hearing this, the young man, Lucien, jumped off the pillar and landed near the pinkish-red hair colored girl around the same age he is.

She had a chest which anyone would consider large for her age and behind her was a green haired girl who was absolutely flat.

"Emi! Elidya! What's for lunch?" He said with a big smile, his white teeth glistening in the sun.

"Let's go back to the village first, then you can see what Elidya and I made!" The pinkish-red haired girl, Emi, said in a cheery voice, her near waist length hair bouncing up and down, just like the peaks on her chest.

Elidya just nodded, fixing her short green hair and staring at Emi's chest enviously. "Hey, maybe we should go to the Capital." Lucien said as he put his arms across back. Elidya nodded with a "Mhm." and put her hands into her shield like gauntlets, which hung on her waist.

The trio proceeded to walk into the forest, not noticing Dominus, who now stood at the edge of the cliff, his long scarf flowing with the wind, thus causing his face, which had a gentle and satisfied smile to be shown from time to time.

He begun whispering to himself. "Ah, Lucien, my youngest disciple. He reminds me of myself when I was young, only that I was surrounded by less girls compared to him... Even Erea's taken a liking to him if what Samuel said was right."

He sighed and begun dispersing into red flames and blue lightning. "Well Elayna isn't in this area. Dammit, I was careless... I shouldn't have used THAT ability. If I didn't, I could just do a full scan of the World without alerting Him..."

Two figures sat opposite each other, a large round table separating them from the other, the oppressive, kingly aura either was releasing could kill anyone who was weak.

One wore black robes embroidered with gold. He was clearly old and he held a large mace with a large red crystal inside it. Grand Arch Magus Raigein, the emperor of the Magius Empire.

The other was a middle-aged man wearing purple clothing which could only be called regal yet practical. Kineth Mearus, emperor of the Mearus Empire!

"Well? Do you agree with my proposition, Emperor Kineth?" the old man inquired, a slight grin on his face.

Kineth nodded, his left hand scratching his chestnut beard. "I see no problem in the merging of our empires. My son, Regulus, also has no problems in marrying your daughter."

"Ha ha, I see! It appears our children have taken a liking with each other. So, just as we have agreed upon, before we hold the wedding, we invade those two kingdoms, Inthe and Brita, to prevent an alliance between them?"

Kineth nodded at the Archmagus' question. "My son, Regulus will obtain the holy sword Excalibur whilst your daughter, my future daughter-in-law will obtain the two Mana Cores of the Silveredge."

Both chuckled, their guards, who were behind them, stood, immovable like mountains.

"Maya! Let's go to the Capital!"

The goddess-like light pink haired young lady stopped her work and looked at the man with wearing light plate armor, a massive pack on his back.

He was handsome, wore grass green clothes, just like his eyes, an ocean blue cloak wrapped around him, as blue as the scabbard holding the white sword strapped to his pack, his sunflower yellow hair waving with the wind.

"What is it this time, Aren?" She asked, pouring a bluish liquid from the small cauldron and into a test tube like vial.

She stood up straight as she placed the vial into her small shoulder bag, causing her massive peaks to bounce up and down.

"You normally wouldn't leave the village. Is your intuition, which you recieved from your teacher acting up?" She questioned, as Aren hated the outside world.

He nodded at this and grinned foolishly. "I sense powerful opponents at Einthore. And I can tell that there will be more. My intuition tells me that much."

Maya sighed and put on her shoulder bag, putting on a sash and cloak, the sash filled with vials of mostly yellow liquid.

"Fine. Aren Dragonslayer, I, Grand Alchemist Maya, will join you as your companion, partner, and wife in this adventure of yours!"

Aren's grin grew wider and wider until he finally broke into laughter. "We just got engaged two weeks ago and you're already calling yourself my wife!"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

"I don't know Arthur... I don't know whether I'm just being paranoid or that my intuition's acting up."

She, the purple haired heaven defying beauty spoke with a worried tone and face as her grip on her partisan and the reins of her dragon tightened.
