The following morning Lisa waited in the car while Sam paid the bill and then they started their drive back to Hickoryville, NC.
"How did you find me? How did you get them to let me go?" Lisa asked Sam, anxious for answers.
"I joined the gang and made friends. I needed some big bucks fast and they told me I could have you as long as I sold you for big bucks and they got a share. So I'm selling you to a wealthy investor and giving them five thousand dollars as their cut. I can do this all day long as long as they get their share, so I have to go back with the money and stay until I find Autumn."
"Let's do more research on this gang before you go back. Maybe they had nothing to do with Autumn's abduction. You don't think they could still be holding her in a dark room like they did me, do you? All taped up except for mealtime. She's been gone too long."
"We'll do the research then I'm going back. I have to."
