Up early the next morning, Dalton and Elyse lay in the afterglow of lovemaking.
"I feel so guilty enjoying my time with you, when we don't know for sure where or what kind of hellhole Jolene may be in. And the worst part of it is there's nothing we can do. You didn't need to rent this large boat after all. We need to have Austin do what he's doing now anyway." Elyse snuggled closer to Dalton, lifting a strand of his hair off his forehead, which continued to fall over.
"You're right about renting the boat. We didn't need it but it sure has come in handy, hasn't it?" Dalton stroked warm fingers up and down her arm.
"What can we do to speed up the search for her? We both need to get back to work, but more importantly we need to find Jolene." Elyse played with the hair on Dalton's chest.
