Tiffin Wrynn

(A/N: If you aren't in the discord here is a small update. My car has been grinding its brakes for a while so I went to change them to find one of the caliper brakets were broken and the brakes were glazed. Ford doesn't sell just the braket so I had to get the piece from a junkyard. Now I have good front brakes but my back ones still need to be changed but that means buying new pads and rotors but rotors are expensive rn so fukkkkk that. I'll be copying and pasting this on the other chapters so don't bother reading it again. The patreôn chapters will be up later tonight I'm busy RN.

------------------------------------

Rhonin looks at me with surprise "You can do that?"

I shrug "Of course, I'm a God."

Rhonin looks at me oddly "Most Gods I know of can only really use magic that is associated with them."

I shrug again "Well I am not from this world so my common sense is different than yours."

Rhonin nods "We will have to talk about that later." he looks at Varian "Well, what do you think, do you want to see your wife again?"

Varian glares at him "Don't phrase it like that, of course I do." He turns back to me "Would you be able to resurrect her perfectly?"

"Uh… How long ago did she die?" I ask knowing the answer is probably no.

"Two years ago." He says sitting back down.

"No. She would be a perfect undead with the power of the light flowing through her." I say with an honest expression.

"So she would be an undead?" He says with his eyes narrowing.

"Ah. Let me correct you. The undead you know are not true 'undead' in my view at least. Perfect undead have a heartbeat, flowing blood, they do not age, and they can reproduce, unlike semi-perfect undead." I say the last part with a small smile.

Varian reads my face with a conflicted expression. "I want my son to have his mother… but I do not trust you."

"It is fair to not trust me… How about I bring your wife here so you can talk first?" I say with a considerate smile.

Rhonin and Varian's eyes snap to me "You can do that?"

I give them a small smirk "I am a God of Death, of course, I can."

Varian looks at me with a hard gaze, I can tell he is holding back many emotions. "I accept that proposal. I will speak to my wife, Tiffin, about it."

I stand up "Then I will not wait. Bring me to the grave so I can connect to her soul through her body."

Varian nods as Rhonin lets go of his shoulder. We all walk out together to the palace gardens where there is a memorial for her with a plaque and gravesite with stones neatly laid out where her body is.

I kneel down, placing my hand on the grave with closed eyes. My divinity reaches into the shadowlands to find her soul. Due to the orderly layout of the shadowlands, I easily find her soul and forcefully tug. There is a little resistance but nothing before me.

Darkness forms a pillar as a bright light opens up inside the dark pillar. From the top of the pillar a woman with slightly blue skin, a slim physique, a white sheetlike robe, and blonde hair slowly float down.

I stand up as her eyes meet mine, the other two see the pillar of darkness and light but they cannot see the woman. I see her eyes quickly leave mine as she looks longingly at Varian but they harden as she turns back to me.

Once she is a few feet above she stops and looks at me with narrow eyes "You are the one who brought me here?"

"I am. You are Tiffin Wrynn right?" I look at her with a small smile. While Varian looks antsy and Rhonin focuses magic to his eyes to see her.

"Why?" She asks, confused.

"Because I want to resurrect you but your husband wants to know your opinion first." She looks taken aback by my words. Her eyes fall on Varian with a sad look.

"That would go against the natural order." She never stops looking at Varian as she speaks with a sad voice.

"The natural order means nothing to me," I say curtly. "I am a God of Death, the dead move on my whim, not some 'order'."

"The Archon would not be pleased. I am already in the cleansing period." She says almost choking on her words.

"I assume the Archon is one of the Arbiter's underlings? They have no influence over me." My words seem to cause her to sigh.

"The Arbiter isn't necessarily above the Archon but more of a piece of the machine. The Arbiter just happens to be a more major piece…" She says as she flies lower landing on the ground looking at me.

"It doesn't matter, it is your choice, she should not influence your decision. I will give him the ability to converse with you now, discuss your rebirth now." I put my hands on Rhonin's and Varian's shoulders as I channel the powers of death into them.

Unlike last time with Lor'Themar I put a lot of power behind it. The power of death will linger in them for the next few days. Hopefully long enough for them to decide.

Varian's eyes widen as he sees her for the first time since her funeral. His eyes well up with tears as she gives him a love-filled smile. They embrace tightly causing Rhonin and me to smile.

I feel a presence come from the hole I opened from the shadowlands. I look up to see a giant ten foot tall blue woman with beautiful white wings and armor flying down towards us. Tiffin release Varian from the hug as she looks up in horror.

"Devos," Tiffin says under her breath.

Once she gets close she realizes all of us can see her. "Which mortal dares take a soul from the lands of Bastion."

"I am no mortal. And why would I not dare?" My words seem to anger her as she flys lower coming only a few feet away from me.

"A lowly rouge God dares takes from the Archon?" A spear appears in her hand in a wave of light.

I roll my eyes as I swipe my arm up causing my miasma to splash like liquid coming from my shadow covering her.

"Gah." She tries rubbing it off but the fog begins spreading over her body causing her to worry and start to struggle pointlessly. She is eventually covered head to toe in miasma but the moment she is fully covered it disappears as if it was never there.

She points her spear at me "WHAT DID YOU DO?" She yells as she begins to cough hard like a patient on their deathbed.

I smile at her "I made a deal with the Arbiter to not interfere with the powers of the shadowlands… I don't think you are considered a 'power', correct?"

She falls to a knee coughing harder and harder. She looks like she is trying to talk but she is too busy coughing up black blood. I sigh as I hold out a hand, black miasma begins leaking out of her body crawling through the garden leaving dead grass behind ending up in my hand.

She looks up at me with angry eyes. Her tightly tied back hair makes her look even angrier "I spared you today out of my kindness. Don't waste this chance I gave you. LEAVE." My voice echoes with the power of death as I yell.

She flaps her wings hard flying back into the sky disappearing along with the hole I made into the shadowlands. I look over at Varian who is holding Tiffin defensively and Rhonin who is watching like an excited child.

I smile at Tiffin like nothing happened "Feel free to choose life over death. Many would." I look at Varian "Go, I'm sure she wishes to see her son more than anything."

He nods at me "Thank you."

I nod as I turn to Rhonin "I think we have enough time for our meeting right? There is much about this world I wish to know… and much I'm sure you wish to ask me."

He nods with a huge grin "Of course, of course. Do you know how to teleport? I'm sure that will be useful before anything else."

I shake my head, "No, That was going to be my first question."

He nods "Let's get started then. People can take years to master this after all."
