The rain

The window glitters brilliantly under the glowing light of the moon. The cold water running down the window clouds my vision as I lean against the wall, utterly alone, waiting for him.

A sad sigh tumbles past my lips. I thought, "Where is he?" I was starting to lose hope until a gentle tap is felt on my shoulder.

With furrowed brows, I turn to see him, hoping that it was him, as I look at the person who has suddenly required my attention, and locks eyes with none other than the old waitress with brown black eyes filled with pity and concern.

I frowned as she said, "It's been a few hours now, are you sure the person you're waiting is coming?" while I was holding up the tears to fall with the rain, I looked at my phone with no messages of him, waiting if maybe he'll come.

I'm sure he wouldn't come here but I'm a fool, a fool for him. Here I am waiting for him. He wasn't like this for me to wait for him years ago, it was always him to wait for me. I guess it's karma. He must have felt horrible waiting for me. I mean who wouldn't? serves me right.

I stuttered, "I-I'm not sure, but I'll wait for 30 minutes then I'll go if he's still not here." the waitress then said, "Don't wait for someone who's not gonna wait for you, okay?" Suddenly right on time, my phone rings.

"It's him." I whispered to myself. As the waitress walks away, I answered, "Where were you?" While looking out the window to see if he's there. He replied, "The thing is...I couldn't be there something came up."

"What do you mean something came up? I've waiting for you hours! you could've have just message me earlier, I even called and texted you but you didn't answer!" I shouted furiously.

"Look, I'm sorry okay? I'll make it up to you." He said. I thought, "whatever, I'm hanging up." I was about the hang up but then suddenly I heard a voice of a woman, "Who's that on the phone?". I froze as he hanged up.
