Chapter 111: Exchanging Secrets

In the early morning, Albert woke up from a light sleep. It was pitch black around him, and he couldn't determine the time, but he could clearly feel the shallow breathing of his roommates.

Albert quietly got out of bed, preparing to change his clothes when he heard a familiar voice in his ear.

"We thought you would sleep until morning."

"So, George, you lost," Fred sat on the edge of the bed, smiling at his twin brother. "I knew Albert would wake up."

"Well, you won," George replied a little disappointed, nodding.

"Good evening," Albert put on his sweater and looked at his two roommates. "Shall we go together?"

"Of course."

"Too bad Lee Jordan is still fast asleep!"

"What should we do, wake him up?"

The two of them lit their wands and pointed them towards another bed, looking at their roommate who was breathing evenly. They shook their heads in unison, "Give up, he can't be woken up!"

"Then let's not disturb him," Albert said while putting on his thick clothes, reminding them casually, "It's cold at night, dress warmly to avoid catching a cold!"

"We were prepared in advance," the twins said. They had gone on nighttime adventures before and had more experience than Albert.

The three of them quietly went downstairs. Gryffindor's common room was empty, and the fireplace had long been extinguished.

"Shall I use the Disillusionment Charm on you?" Albert adjusted his winter cloak and raised his wand to his twin roommates by his side. "Stick close to me when we go out later, don't get lost."

"Where are you planning to go?" Fred curiously asked. "The Restricted Section?"

"Yes, I plan to borrow some books from there," Albert did not deny his curiosity about the Restricted Section. Lowering his voice, he continued, "The Book of Spells, and... Powerful Potions, or other books on potions. I'm particularly interested in the Felix Felicis. The Restricted Section should have relevant records."

"Are you planning to brew Liquid Luck?" The twins looked at each other and said simultaneously.

"It's a bit difficult now, but I'm sure I can do it in the future. I have confidence in my potion-making skills." Albert had a skill panel, so he was naturally confident.

Liquid Luck was a good thing, and he wouldn't easily give up on it.

"Are you planning to make a fortune by selling Liquid Luck?" The twins looked at each other. "I can guarantee it will sell well. When the time comes, remember to take us along and we'll get rich together."

"That's not a bad idea. A small dose could probably be sold for 20 Galleons, or even higher," Albert murmured to himself. "Your knowledge of potion-making is terrible, and what you brew would probably be poison."

"A small dose!"

"Twenty Galleons!"

The twins' tone instantly rose, as if they had heard something unbelievable, completely ignoring Albert's second sentence.

"The value of Liquid Luck is indeed very high, but its brewing is also very difficult and the process is extremely complex. It is said that only skilled master potion-makers can brew it, and it's hard to come by. After all, most people have moments when they need 'luck'," Albert reminded them. "However, the brewing process is very complicated, and once you make a mistake, the consequences are unimaginable. Even a master cannot guarantee a successful brew every time. Failure means wasting half a year of effort."

In fact, Albert knew that Liquid Luck couldn't really bring true "good luck," but he needed the effects of the potion. Drinking it was like giving himself a powerful buff.

Having everything go smoothly can be considered a form of "good luck" to some extent.

Most importantly, he had a skill panel and an experience pool. He would first master the skills, and when necessary, he could transform himself into an expert in brewing Liquid Luck in an instant.

The twins were undoubtedly intrigued by Liquid Luck, a potion that could bring good luck and make a lot of money. If they truly mastered it, it meant they would become wealthy. Although they didn't actively pursue wealth, they were well aware of the feeling of being poor.

"Alright, I'm going to use the Disillusionment Charm," Albert said, looking at the twins. "Who wants to go first?"

"No, you don't need to use the Disillusionment Charm. We have a better plan," the twins said.

"A better plan?" Albert knew exactly what they were referring to when they said a better plan, but he pretended not to know.

"Use this." The twins magically pulled out an old parchment from their pockets and waved it in front of Albert as if it were a treasure.

"What is this?" Albert lowered his voice, intentionally sounding puzzled, so as not to reveal any flaws. He genuinely didn't know about the Marauder's Map.

In fact, the room was quite dim, and Fred and George wouldn't notice any expression on Albert's face.

"It's a map. Do you remember the valuable thing we obtained from Filch's 'Confiscated Items, Highly Dangerous' drawer?" Fred reminded him.

"Oh, this is what you got from Filch, an old piece of parchment?" Albert raised his wand towards the old parchment, but there was nothing on it.

"Invisibility spell or invisible ink?" Albert whispered, pretending to be curious.

"This is the map of Hogwarts. It requires a special passphrase to activate. But you're right, it can hide the information inside," George said, raising his wand and tapping the map, muttering, "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."

"Up to no good?" Albert felt like laughing, but he nodded seriously. "Indeed, up to no good."

The map quickly changed, and countless ink and intersecting lines outlined a map of the castle.

"It's truly a marvelous map, and it's not difficult to see the maker's thoughtful intentions," Albert whispered. "There are also advanced tracking spells on it."

"What kind of spells?" George asked, puzzled.

"Tracking spells," Albert explained. "The maker used tracking spells on the map, and their skills are impressive."

"Yes, he marked the location of every person in the castle on the map," Fred winked at Albert. "Just past midnight, Filch actually got up to patrol everywhere, wanting to catch you. Unfortunately... you hadn't woken up at that time, so he wasted his effort."

"So... the locations of those secret passages are also related to this map?" Albert squinted and asked.

"Yes, we found out about those secret passages from the Marauder's Map," the twins whispered. "But let's not tell Lee Jordan about this for now."

"I understand," Albert said, understandingly. "But there are some secrets in the school that you surely don't know about."

"What secrets?" the twins asked in unison.

"The cabinet you were looking for earlier," Albert said mysteriously.

"You found that cabinet?"

"That's not a cabinet. Follow me," Albert said with a mysterious smile. "You'll be surprised later."
