The Day Earth Fell into Silence

“Any human alive must be captured, neutralize and reported to the nearest post!” In a world much like our own, an ordinary day takes a sinister turn when a sudden and mysterious slumber claims the lives of most of humanity within minutes. Amid the desolation, Chump discovers a glimmer of hope: her sister miraculously survived. Reunited but thrust into a harsh reality, they soon encounter enigmatic beings from another world. These interplanetary visitors from Mantrea reveal that they have conquered Earth, harvesting souls for their goals under the decree of their formidable "Goddess". With a thirst for revenge burning in his heart for their world death and his sister being kidnapped, Chump embarks on a quest to gain any sort of powers, survive against the madness and confront the leaders of this otherworldly dominion. Along the way, he must find a way to control the elusive and potent magic known as Remenant, a force beyond his comprehension. Vengeance, survival, and the mysteries of Remenant weave a gripping tale of determination and resilience. Not gonna lie, I feel the sypnosis a bit generic for my taste, but hey, will have my touches here and there KYAHAHAHA!~ I also post the novel in RR until i get a contract somehwere hahaha~ (This is a weaktostrong long novel. New chapter once a day, at 21:20 GMT+8... I should stop changing the hour, but i realize that most of my viewers are middle asia and far east europe~)

Can't touch this!

Meisho began, "Mister Chump, humans, and Remenant are incompatible because of the fundamental differences in your nature. Humans are bound by the laws of their physical world, whereas Remenant operates on different planes of existence. It's like trying to mix oil and water; they simply don't blend."

Clem nodded in agreement. "Exactly, Mister Chump. Our tests resulted in the conclusion that Remenant has the power to reshape the world around it, but only those who are attuned to it. Humans, unfortunately, lack that innate connection, which is why they react negatively to your presence."

Chump sighed in frustration. "Well, that's just great. So, what does this mean for me and my world?"

Meisho replied, "It means that as Remenant continues to spread and reshape the Earth, it will become increasingly incompatible with human life. Your world will undergo significant changes, and the regions where Remenant is more dominant will be transformed into something entirely different."

Chump leaned back, absorbing this information. "So, in a way, it's like Earth is becoming a second Mantrea?"

Clem nodded again. "Yes, that's a simplified way to think about it. You need to stay away from areas heavily saturated with Remenant. Otherwise, it could be hazardous for you."

Chump scratched his head, feeling both intrigued and concerned about the fate of his world. "Well, I guess I'll have to be careful where I step. It's a lot to take in…"

But with each word, he seemed a bit more distant in his thoughts. Then his face was filled with determination.

"Meisho, could you put some of the infused Remenant-infused dirt in between these two glasses and place it in that machine? I want to observe something about the Remenant."

Meisho looked at Clem, but he shrugged. Neither of them knew the intentions of half of the lab instruments since they didn't use those in the other world. She did as he asked and got away from the machine.

He placed the dirt in a microscope. At first, it didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary, other than the Remenant energy appearing similar to a liquid but not making the dirt wet, more like a slime.

But once he enhanced the magnification to a thousand, he saw what was happening. Every bacterium that touched the liquid or was caught in it was absorbed and dissolved. Shortly after, new organs appeared within the giant slime and acted almost independently.

These organs, while not similar to the bacteria eaten, moved to the dirt and minerals, consuming and changing them, mostly to what seemed like a similar composition.

"What the… It obliterates all bacteria. All microorganisms… But the plants are intact, and the animals have barely changed," he wrote down everything in a nearby notebook, "Clem, prepare three more glasses. One with dirt and the other two with your Remenant samples."

Clem nodded. "Alright, I'm on it. By the way, we have class this afternoon, right? What will we learn?"

Chump replied while still looking through the microscope, "We'll be learning about electricity, circuits, equations, and all their applications. You have perfect memory and fast comprehension, so I won't need to explain many examples. After learning the numeric system, copy the exercises from my notebooks."

After a moment, the samples were prepared, but Chump was about to pick them up when he got another zap from the three Remenants.

After a moment, the samples were prepared, and Chump was about to pick them up when another zap from the three remnants hit him. He sighed and muttered, "Ugh, fine, let's do it slower then."

He moved around, grabbing another sample glass and a knife. He took a deep breath, scratched his arm a couple of times, and then cut off the skin of his left palm. Meisho and Clem reacted just before he cut, but it was too late to stop him. Meisho spoke up while observing the blood dropping, "What are you doing? Do you really need to do that?"

Chump explained, "Testing a tiny hypothesis. Please put a bit, just a bit of your Remenant, Meisho, and mix it with my blood."

Meisho felt a bit uneasy but did as commanded with her tendrils. Her Remenant essence was a mix of grey and cream slime. Through the magnifying glass, Chump could see that her Remenant was not only killing the bacteria but actively seeking to destroy it. However, it didn't create any new organs or structures; it was pure annihilation and assimilation.

The same happened when they tested Clem's blue sea Remenant. Chump made detailed observations and allowed both androids to watch what was happening through the microscope with the three examples. They were left baffled.

"Are these the things called bacteria? Is that our Remenant? What is your blood composed of?" Chump had to answer numerous questions while making sketches in his notebook. It took him an hour to share all the necessary information, and they all arrived at the same conclusion: Remenant energy had some reaction that made any direct interaction with humans impossible.

Meisho added in her monotonous voice, a subtle hint of curiosity and intrigue, "So that's what happens when we use healing spells on you directly. Yes, they can target whatever you do, but once left alone, they start destroying human matter."

Clem continued, "I may not be well-informed about healing spells, as they are not my specialty, but I do know that once a spell's effect is finished inside someone's body, it mixes with the other Remenant. Some experiments have shown that this same Remenant is prioritized in our bodies to be either used or disposed of first."

Chump finally said, "Time for the big final test, then." He looked at Meisho and Clem. "Clem, can you record everything? Meisho, can you observe through the microscope this time? I have a bad feeling."

"Yes, sir!" Meisho and Clem responded simultaneously and then exchanged smiles. After everything was prepared and noted down, Chump set up a camera attached to the microscope to allow Meisho to see what he was seeing. He mixed pure Remenant with human blood and placed the sample on the microscope.

At first, it appeared similar to the other samples, much like the dirt. But as it consumed more human cells than usual, its aggression escalated, causing the glass to tremble. Then, something unbelievable happened: the Remenant not only consumed the blood in an instant but also broke through the glass with force, forming a spiky crystal formation in the center, about the size of a tennis ball despite the tiny amount of Remenant.

Meisho stepped back, observing the violent reaction through the microscope. Unfortunately, it damaged the magnifying glass, and they looked at each other in silence, unable to believe what they had just witnessed. Chump was in shock but could hardly doubt it.

Chump treated the wound on his palm and looked at both of them, "Now we know why their limbs, bones, muscles, or heads exploded in your experiments those years ago. Could you explain to me again how you're reincarnating people?"

Meisho replied, her sapphire eyes wide open as she observed the mass with fascination, "T-The goddess stated that she will take the souls and prepare them for their new world personally."

Chump shook his head in disbelief, "So we have her in charge of that while 'her essence' acts so aggressively, no matter from whom, against humans? Bloody hell, this is a never-ending nightmare." Chump finished writing his last notes and watched the recording on his computer.

Meisho opened her mouth to speak but hesitated. Before she could ask how he could do it, Chump added, "Tomorrow, I will teach both of you about main machines and functions. Let's continue with this, okay?"

Meisho hesitated for a moment and then reluctantly agreed, "Okay... So, is that rune useless to you? We could have great applications for that Celestial gift back in our world."

Chump smiled and said, "Not exactly. Clem and I are planning a way to make a human use Remenant. Thanks to Ercles." Chump looked at Clem with a mischievous grin, waiting for the golem's reaction.

It took Clem a moment to catch on, but then his face lit up with excitement. "We have two of the three components for the machine!"

Chump agreed, "There we go!" He and Clem high-fived each other, and the golem rushed off to the forge. However, he quickly returned with a look of doubt on his face.

"Do you... Do you still want to continue with the original design of the armor, Mister Chump?" Clem asked.

Chump realized the implications and said, "Oh, we may need to redesign it. These runes were used in weapons, as Ercles said, right? That means as long as I have it on me, it may work. We can put it in a backpack and add some protection around it!"

Clem nodded in agreement, "So we can put all the machinery inside and add protection around it!"

Meisho added, "So you may be protected from the Remenant and still be protected by the spells. Since the spell is active, the Remenant won't actively try to kill you. That's neat. But I canceled this project for a reason, Clem."

Both Chump and Clem turned to her in disbelief, and Chump asked, "Why not?!"

Meisho regarded Chump with suspicion, her expression questioning. She asked, "Mister Chump, what are you going to use this for?"

Since the book is a flop, there wont be more chapters. Need to outline and reset it anyway.

Was a pleasure.
