"Whoa slow down Daimon." Dad said.

"Though I want to know the answer to that last question." Pa said as he joined us.

"If you let her come to dinner tonight. If not then if you want to come to the concert in three days you meet her then."

"I am sure Alferd can make enough for one more." Dad said I smiled as Jason wrapped his arm around me.

"I want to hear you sing!" He said.

"I'm sure she sounds like a dying cat." Martha said.

I say nothing as I duck under Jason's arm. I take in a deep breath before I start singing.

"You are not your makeup, you are not their word.

You are strong as superwoman and your hearts as strong as steel.

Girl stand up and hold your head high. For the dragon within will burn bright."

I started rocking on my heels as I heard the music to my song in my head.

"Little boy don't be so blueee." I sang. "Your heart as strong as superman.

So let love be your only kryptonite. Your shadow is your strength, never let another's shroud youuuuuu." I held the note before I stopped and dropped to the ground.

"What the hell!" I demanded as the rock hit the wall behind me.

"Shut up!" Martha snaps.

"Martha!" Dad snaps at her.

"What?" She asked.

"What is wrong with you?" I asked her. "Just because I can't see doesn't mean I can't hear Martha I heard the rock coming at me."

"Whatever." She said. "Your girlfriend probably just pittes you."

I growl at her almost as if I was in purple drake. "Don't talk about Kayla like that. You know nothing about my lady and you damn sure have no right to judge her before even meeting her."

"Your lady? What are you dating a elder dragon?" She asked. I tilt my head.

"What if I am, what's it to you?" I asked.

"Why the hell would an elder dragon make time for a bl." Martha started as I heard growling coming from behind her.

"Kayla, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"Zake brought me after she started throwing rocks." She said. "I would normally let you handle your sister but I have had enough of her insulting you."

"I can handle her insults, Kayla." I tell her.

"I am aware but I also know your temper." She tells me.

I raise an eyebrow at her then laugh as I walk past Martha. "I have Dad's temper." I said

"I know dragons with fewer tempers than you and your dad." She snorts as she wraps an arm around my shoulder.

"Guys this is Kayla, my girlfriend." I said to everyone as I grip her hand. "And yes Jason I meet Zake though Kayla then set you both up on a blind date with each other."

"I apologize for popping in unannounced." She says calmly. "But I had enough of Martha's insults and smearing of my lady's name."

"How did you get here?" Dad asked.

"That would be me." Zake said. "I tend to keep an ear on both Lara and Jason's shadow."

"So my son is dating a Shadow shea and my daughter is dating an elder drake." Dad sighed.

"Yup." I said as I leaned against Kayla.

"Just no late-night visits to Lara Kayla without permission." Dad said. "And you keep a good eye on my son, he likes to get himself into trouble."

"Of course not sir I would not do that to your house." Kayla agrees.

"Good since you both here you may stay the day since I want to get to know both of you."

"And by that, he means he wants to grill you both." Dick said.

"You're the oldest brother I can't see you not helping him." Kayla laughed. "Now I do believe you when singing your new song do you want to start again."

"I can get my guitar." Zake asked.

"Wait, you play the guitar?" Jason asked him.

"A little." He said

"No, it's okay." I said. "We are performing that song on Tuesday so if they can make it to the teens club they can hear it there."

"We will try." Dad said.

"That is all I ask." I said with a soft smile.

"And if not I'm sure our techy will have a recording of it."

"She has a recording of all of our performances." I tell her.

"Can I get copies?" Pa asked.

"I text her and see if she can send them to Lara." Kayla said.

"Tell her to send it to my hotmail." I said.

"You have a different email?" Dad asked.

I did not answer him, I just smiled at where his voice came from. "Who knows." I said with a laugh and I grip Kayla's hand. "Breakfast I am starving." I said turning and pulling Kayla with me.

"I already eat love." Kayla said.

"Yeah well I'm starving." I tell her.

"I can hear your stomach." She said with a laugh as we entered the house making me pout.

"It's not my fault I need to consume over 10,000 calories a day due to my metabolism." I huffed.

"I know love." She laughed at me as she kissed my hand. "Hello, again Alfred."

"Hello, Miss Kayla." I smiled at Alfred. "You both pulled off a beautiful performance last week."

"Thank you, Alfred my lady came up with the idea."

"I can see that she is even blind still has her father's daredevil streatc." He laughed.

"Well, this week is going to be epic!" I said gripping kayla's hand and spins her out.

"Easy love." She laughed.

"Of course love." I smile at her.

"Food then I am sure there's an area we can work on our dance." Kayla laughed.

"We can steal the gym!" I said with a laugh. "But I am sure we will have company.

"Can you dance?" Martha asked.

"Well you have to wait and see!" i said with a laugh.

"Please do me a favor Martha stop being a bitch." Kayla said

"Excuse me." I try not to snort at that.

"I said stop being a bitch and no I do not care who your parents are or if we are in their house. If you don't stop I will not take you speaking to her like this. No, she does not need me to defend her from you but she won't because she is trying to keep the peace in the house." She growls at her.

"Kay." I said running my finger running down her arm.

"I'm not about to let her continue." Kayla said.

"It's fine Kay."

"It is not fine." She growled softly.

"Your right but for now let it go." I tell her.

"Have I said I love you this morning?" She asked me.

"Not this morning you did tell me last night." I say to her.

"Well I love you but she is pissing me off." She growls.

"You're not the only one she's pissing off." Damion snarls.

"Breakfast is coming." Dad said as he passed us. "And if you don't stop Martha your going to be grounded."

"What but Dad!"

"No buts." Pa said. I pull out my phone and hands it to Kayla.

"It's Nicole." She said. "Mr.Kent-Wayne where are we sending these." She asked.

"You can just give Pa my phone. Though is it just the song or videos?"

"Videos it looks like." I sighed.

"Oh boy." I said.

"Why do you say that?" Pa asked.

"Watch and find out." I said softly. "Maybe then you all will stop coddling me!" I said as I walked into the dining room. "And don't say you don't." I said.

"Don't what?" Dad asked.

"Coddle her." Kayla said

"As much as I want to say no. We do coddle you." He agreed.

"Maybe after you see the videos you will stop." I grumbled.

"Tell that to your Pa." Dad said.

"Well considering what I do in half the performances we do I hope that will change his mind."

"Now I am scared." Pa said as I sit down. Kayla clicks her tongue as she moved things around.

"You're moving my stuff around." I said.

"This is not how you normally set your stuff up!" She huffs.

"No, it's set to someone else's standard."

"Then don't complain." Kayla said

"I love you K." I laugh as she pats my arm as I smile and I eat my food.

"Love you too Lara." She laughed,

"How long have you two knowing each other?" Dad asked.

"About three years ago we met about 4 months before Lara went blind." She tells them.

"If it wasn't for Kayla I'm pretty sure I would have walked out in front of a car once or twice."

"Ohhh don't remind me." Kayla said with a sigh.

"I stopped you a few times when you almost walked out where you shouldn't." Zake said.

"You have." I agreed. "But you have to agree with me joining the girls in the group I have stopped almost walking in front of cars."
