10 Someone to Remember

Misaki and Akagi quickly reached the Restaurant, after they entered through the door, Akagi saw a tall muscular tan-skinned man with short pale blue spiky hair as Minamoto described, wearing grey suit and pants, tan black tie, a vertical line of scar on his left eye but his eye has conceal by his black eye patch. He's sitting on top of the table alone with crossed his one leg on to the other.

"What do you want Mitsumasa?" Misaki asked the man,

The man chuckles and spoke with an Italian accent,

"You don't have to rude, Signorina Mayumi"

"Give me a reason, why you here? Or didn't Yamamoto explain to you, don't linger here in evening."

The man seen not care about Misaki's hostility moreover wants a passionate conversation with Misaki.

"Good grief, what an strict interrogation I got myself into."

"This isn't an interrogation dickhead. I am asking a simple question."

"Well I'm here to bargain with Friendo's cell here, sure Yellow Zone's exotic chain restaurant here to buy."

"Yamamoto isn't here, come some other time."

"Oh dear I must say I can't argue with you. Are you the manager? It is wild guess since I haven't see you here before, though I was quite surprised to see a young man like you would be the Manager of this Restaurant, I probably guessing you're damn good at your work."

Knowing the owner isn't here, the man turned his gaze upon Akagi, compliment him with a ambitious face,

"If you are, the new manager, nice to meet you. My name is Tomita Mitsumasa, forgive me accent, I grew up in Florence in a very unpleasant days."

The man with classic suit gets up of the table and walks near Akagi,

"What's you're the name? Young man."

Akagi was surprised at the moment, the man odd kind of fellow, apparently mid-20s and with exaggerate hands gesture while talking though he revealed that he spent his early days in Italy.

Akagi hesitant to said his name felt little confused by his attitude, but the man named Mitsumasa, shown to be a passionate man. He takes actions based on whatever catches his interest he went towards and whispered after a pat on his shoulder,

"Welcome to the world of madness."

Akagi was anxious when he whispered with a intense yet sardonic attitude. After he took off knowing he did not get what he came from, nevertheless his wired attitude grabbed Akagi's attention.

"That guy, is he half-Italian who joined the Somalian pirates or he fan of the western movies."

"No but I applaud your active imagination."

Misaki chuckled by Akagi's way of thinking though he did not get it,

"What did you mean?"

"About him, Tomita Mitsumasa, he is nothing like those, but more dangerous, be extra careful."

"Huh? What do you mean by dangerous?"

"Do you know anything about the Chasepic Ripper? Who murders five to six people in a row? Then suddenly stop killing."

"A serial killer?"

"More or less, well, that man is an organised killer, another S-ranked Mutant in the yellow zone, kills anyone he feels to and not he's killing as necessarily, he murders because he's bored, he kills for fun, without consuming them he rather left the mutated corpses on the street, for strike dominance and fear in the hearts of people, his the sickest Mutants I ever known, he is also under Spotter's watch list."

"Then, why you let him linger in the Restaurant? That's terrifying."

Akagi was shocked to hear that when Misaki revealed the man's true background.

"We don't have a choice, Mitsumasa is our informant, hate to say but he's damn good what he does, keep taps on the Empire's internal affairs from military to politics, Mitsumasa knows more than a regular Imperium's employee. And he provides a valuable information to Friendo's for keep blending in. May be polite, to me he's a complete asshole. He manipulates people like toys to get the information he wants, screw over his informants, he has ties beyond from Imperium States, what you think where we can found you for the first time, because he's info."

After Misaki's vile description about the man, Tomita raise many questions to Akagi, the man Mitsumasa seemly a good looking appearance with civilized clothes but Akagi takes Misaki's warming into consideration.

Misaki looked at the clock and commanded Akagi "Your shift is over, Yamamoto is now in charge, go on then, get out of here dummy", but Akagi wouldn't go, Misaki asked why he is not going.

"Well, yeah, I just forgot a novel that I intend to read tonight, that book is in my office upstairs."

Misaki sighed,

"Go on, take your book and get out, I've lots of work to do".

Akagi nod and went up. He entered the office and starts to find it, but surprisingly he didn't find it anywhere.

After not finding his book,

Akagi's confused "Where it goes? I'm sure I put it on the table" then he remembered "Oh, I put it on Owner's room table". He went to the Owner's private room and he entered the room he saw a young girl sitting on sofa.

The girl is very cute has fair skin, aquamarine blue eyes, straight sun-blonde hair that is styled into a fairly neat bob-cut.

She also wears two blue clip-ones on the right side of her head, a larger one and a smaller one that bot, wearing a simple light blue colour frock.

When Akagi entered the room she was a little frightened. Akagi was also surprised to see her in the room but he was reformed,

"You must be Nagako, Miyoshi well I'm just to take my novel, sorry that I frightened you," Akagi asked politely. He sees she's reading his book "Oh, that's my book" he sighs in relief.

Miyoshi straighten her hand to return his book "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know that it's your book" she looked down "I thought that book getting interesting"

"You understand the story? He asked. But he thought she hasn't, Akagi believed that it's too difficult to read for 12 years old girl.

Miyoshi slowly responds "Yes, I mean" she hesitated "It's a Mystery, Thriller novel about Series of five disappearance of young men from a cursed lake and the protagonist is a detective finding those men, he is getting close to the mystery of the cursed lake, it's the chapter that I was reading"

"Wow, you actually read it, it's difficult to understand the story for little girls, so what do you think about the detective, is he finding them?" Akagi asked attentively.

Miyoshi replied "I think he's confused at first, missing something very important, I think he is gonna find it"

Akagi laughed "he-he, my thoughts were exactly the same but read until the end to find out, I'm sure you're wrong"

After she asked dozens things about Novel's words and sentences how it meant etc.

Akagi sat down and explained everything that she felt difficult to understand. She is extremely grateful for the explaining, she's now able to read the book without any confusions.

Akagi looked down under the table and found her chess board and its pieces, he asked if she knows how to play or not, she replied yes. For that he excitingly said "Nah, Miyoshi-Chan? Why we play chess game for a while?"

"I would like to play."

She agreed and then they both picked the board and start playing.

While playing Akagi thought she's just a middle school girl, so he thinks "I don't have be my full focus, I could win easily" then he starts for his usual aggressive openings called King's Gambit.

But quite surprisingly she also started another aggressive starting called Falkbeer Counter-Gambit to counter his attacks.

Akagi exclaimed to see her the openings.

"Impossible, I thought it was it's a counter but that girl has experiences, I lost so many pieces because of that, but the game isn't over yet, I have to play with my full attention, a worthy challenge is that I was looking for".

After losing so many pieces to cute little Miyoshi.

Akagi was still able to win the game in 25 minutes

Miyoshi impressed to see his skills "Wow, mister, you really good at this," She adorably request Akagi "Would you teach me some moves" she looked away "Well, my father had taught me one or two moves, I always interested in chess he promised that he'll teach me some more" she weakened her voice "He promised but... "

Miyoshi's eyes became tearful.

Akagi understand the Nagako's family situations, and felt sad about her, especially saw Miyoshi been sad.

But he tells something to cheer her up "Hey Miyoshi-Chan" she looked at Akagi's face "Why would I teach you some chess moves, it's very easy plus you can use them in the future games right?"

Miyoshi feels little comfort around him but she doubts "Are you sure Mister?"

Akagi smiled at her with good and pure intentions to teach her "It's Shinsuke, Akagi and why not, know what you can keep book, I've read it several times"

After hearing that from her is Exhilarated she while blushing she thanked him with a very cute smile "Aka-Chan, thank you."

Akagi widened his eyes by that name she made.

"Aka-Chan? Well, its nice name though,

Now let us begin"

She excited to hear him.

After that both of them feels a connection between them, she is comfortable talking to him and Akagi not feeling alone as he was human. Akagi happily thought about this girl while explaining few chess tactics "It's nearly impossible to believe she's a Mutant, it possible I could be wrong for all along, they're all not bad, what other people say" he doubts himself. Then he left all his thoughts and confusion to let aside busy teaching her.

Next day, Misaki goes to her high school with a slightly different and permanent hairstyle, the only difference is that her hair fringe parted towards her right side her face, she seems to be liking the hairstyle.

Her personality in school is completely different from truly is.

She is average student who considered friendly, cheerful and sometimes very playful like most of the girls. Few Mutants have mastered the swapping between two personalities, human sociable and their original.

This distinguish self learned ability helps them invisible from Brittonia's radar.

As a normal girl attending school with her friends.

One day in garden of her school Misaki sitting on a lunch break with her two best friends, she notice they gossips each other about something unrelated, Misaki sometimes loves to talk, but she didn't like meaningless gossips. She sat down quietly eating her lunch.

Then suddenly a honeybee roaming around them, two of girls ran down screaming as every high school girl does. But Misaki still don't understand why they running, one of the girls told her to run that what she does to keep up appearances. She ran to hide behind a tree near the school building but the honeybee follows her there. With no one watching she quickly grabbed the into her palm, she looked her palm, little shaking as bee tries get out.

Misaki thought as looking her palm.

"I spent so many years as their friend and still I don't understand girl's emotion.

My situations is exactly like the bee, a creature who desperate to be free, to be fell alive again" she releases her palm as the bee flown in the blue sunny sky as her hair flows from small winds she looked at the sky "Sometimes I can relate to them, feeling their emotions, a very few of them just like me without any powers, I wish there is peace again in the city for me and everyone Mutants to be happy. Ahhhhh" she raises her arm straight in exhaustion "Better run for the class.

She something very important to tell Akagi about the man Mitsumasa Tomita, unfortunately she forgot to tell him.

In MRC training Institute's sessions is over for today, Akagi was about to leave the college, he has some kind of habit always getting out of college in late, for his mind it's the perfect solution not to distract unwanted attention. He walks on the sidewalk on fifth floor of the Institute. He had once encountered Sudo, the bully who had his finger broken by Misaki. Like before he had bully Akagi making fun of him. Now he completely ignored him still recovering from his broken fingers. After seeing Sudo passed between him in fast walked without saying anything

Akagi secretly felt joy in him,

"Looks, Misaki's word were right, he wouldn't complained about us".

When he snaps out in the real world, he saw a same red short hair with golden eyes student, who happened to bumped Akagi's files on the ground, when he had gone with Natsume buying his lunch.

He seems to be walking on the sidewalk with one of his chubby friend, when they passed by Akagi he seemed to be completely ignored him apparently his chubby friend is driving him nuts for nagging about something but He is reposed nothing.

Akagi thought, After seeing him again,

"That man? What's his name? Umm Kishino Fumihiro, looks like he's going home."

What Akagi has hearing that he wants his money back and then they turns left to the Stairs for exit, Akagi will also go to the same way.

A few seconds later when he reached the stairs, he is shocked. Fumihiro including his fat friend completely disappeared.

They suppose to go down next stairs from fourth floor but they completely gone. Akagi quickly runs to next stairs column, no sign of them, and then he sees beyond the all stairs up to the exit, no sound of footsteps. Institute has became empty, complete silence of halls surrounding him, evening approaching, the setting sun orange light reflects few portions reaching the empty sidewalks and stairs, making the environment dark and orange where light comes from window.

Akagi still no clue about their disappearance, he felt like he's in the novel, that he given Miyoshi to read. He knew the ending that chills it to his bone.

In the novel the detective never found the young men, even their body, the people around the lake told everyone that they had been cursed, for not believing in the cursed and for that the earth's grounds opened up and swallow them.

He's in no way likely believed that to be the truth, for that reason he thinks rationally. "Where did they go? It practically impossible walks that fast with that fat guy with him".

After a long thinking, he comes up with a window placed on the gap the two columns of a stairs, he rarely doubted that two of them just jumped out window of firth floor but it the only explanation he has come up with, and nevertheless he opens the window and looked down. At down he saw College's backwards, saw no one.

"Aragghhh..."

He heard someone is screaming, he went through his head to the window and looked up. He saw that chubby student was hanging on the Rooftop of the College.
