TRAINING.

" Your majesty, we need to find an alternative plan. The light faes cannot help anymore as they are dying and the dark faes are out of the question for obvious reasons," an old minister said leaving them all to decipher the hinted solution he talked about.

Silence reigned the room as the King seemed to be in deep thoughts. "What do you suggest that we do?" He asked finally looking at them.

"Your majesty, I suggest we observe the situation first before taking any drastic measures and see how it goes," one man said. "But what if we do so and it gets out of hand?" Another asked. "Well, the only thing we can do is call forth the demons and ask for help and this I agree we observe the situation before sealing our souls with the demons," another commented.

The King listened to them and finally cleared his throat. They all went silent and listened. "We will wait and see how it pans out. I will also discuss this with the queen as she couldn't attend the meeting. I will call you all back if anything comes up. Thank you and you are dismissed."

"Can I come in dad?" Mara's voice came from the door where she was peeking after the ministers left. "Of course," he said happily and she came over and hugged him happily.

"Father, what is the situation at the boarder?" she asked. Her father told her in a nutshell what had happened and how they planned to deal with the situation if it got worse.

"I hope it doesn't come to that as we know demons always want something in return for everything, even passing salt on the table," she said for her father to laugh. She was glad to have made her father laugh as he had been having a very stressful time.

"Father, I came to ask you to give me permission to train with the female royal guards," she said for her father's jaw to drop on the ground. "No!" He deadpanned. The training was absolutely horrid especially for his baby girl. Very few survived and he could not allow his baby to go. Preposterous!

" Father I knew you would say that but there is an amnimous vibe in the air. War is coming and I don't want you to go to war and keep getting distracted wondering if Mom and I are okay. I need you not to worry about me because, I can't lose you father and brother too. I need to be strong too as the princess of the kingdom and keep mom safe," she said with resolution.

"I will not allow you to go to such a strenuous training or war. Also what is wrong with the training right now?" He asked not wanting to even entertain the thought.

" I wouldn't be going to the Frontline if you don't want me to but at least I wouldn't be a seated duck making you all worry. I want to be in a position where I can hold my ground in a fight. Not even now but later if needed as I know we will win this. The training I have now is okay but I need more. I need to grow stronger father. Allow me dad, I will make you proud as the princess of the kingdom," she said firmly.

King Levy had never looked at his daughter so proudly. She wasn't his little girl anymore. He had never looked at her in this light. She was wise and he could not help but see her as a queen in the future. However, if she was to join the female guards department training, she was going to start from the lower training and work to graduate to higher levels. Training wasn't war was it?

Mara left the throne room so happy as she had convinced her father without even having to bring out the big guns, as in her tears. She was a very opportunistic girl. She had picked the time when her mother was not around as her mother would never allow it. She ran all the way to the training grounds to see her brother.

As soon as she got in, the soldiers all went into a daze. They were all enamored by her beauty. She knew and low key loved the attention. She ran over to her brother and hugged him. "What has got you all excited," he said chuckling at her behavior. " He agreed," she chirped happily. "Who and to what?" "Father, to my female royal guards training," she replied.

"Wow I'm so happy for you. Though I feel bad as you will be gone for a long time and leave me alone," he said with his shoulders down. The soldiers could not believe what they were seeing at that moment. The beast prince was pouting!??!

"It won't be for long I promise. I'll work so hard so that I can come back as soon as possible. Father told me about the situation at the boarder so we don't have the luxury of time. I will leave at dawn as I do not want mom to spoil my plans when she comes back," she told him and he nodded.

She left and the prince looked to see his soldiers completely dazed and zoned out. He shook his head wanting to blame his sister for this. He hit the gong to break their daze and they went back to training.
