Teran Gaia

[You have entered the boss room of [Galeheaven]. You may not leave until you kill the boss.]

[The [Thunder Bird] directs its hostility at you.]

[As a penalty for entering the boss room, all Air based skills will receive a penalty]

I saw the [Thunder bird] that I already defeated once screeching at me angrily and I decided to test something. I summoned the [Arcane Bird] and dark clouds gathered across the sky as it flapped its wings and screeched at the [Thunder Bird] agitatedly. I saw the [Thunder bird] falter as it was faced with a foe it did not expect on this floor. The similarity between it and my summons must have shocked it. But that did not stop its agitation from rising and it charged for me and the Arcane Bird.

Black and white clashed as the Arcane bird intercepted the Thunderbird and slammed it into the wall of the room. Dark clouds gathered over the two birds, and black lightning streaked down from the sky as the Arcane Bird delivered a devastating blow to the thunderbird.

Bzzttt!!

CAW!

The thunderbird didn't stay down long as it made the room vibrate by releasing a loud sonic blast. It hit the Arcane bird on the chest and the arcane bird looked down at its chest curiously before flapping its wings with a screech, as though to say 'Is that what you call a Sonic Blast?'.

I didn't know if dungeon monsters could sweat, but I could've sworn I saw a sweat drop down the thunder birds face.

CAW!!

The Arcane Bird released its own Sonic Blast and it blasted the Thunderbird across the room as it slammed into the opposite room. The thunderbird got up and tried to fly away from the battle, but the Arcane bird flew after it and dug its claws deep into the thunder birds back as it was dragged back and thrown to the ground. Thunder boomed in the room, and more dark clouds gathered in the air as the Arcane bird prepared its final skill and released black lightning on the thunder Bird.

Bzztttt!!!

Boom!

I closed the system tab in front of me, and I began to make my way out of the dungeon. I had to meet with the bandits now, so I won't be able to run the dungeon again. I already ranked up a lot and I would be going to the fifth floor soon, but first I had to find out what that student was doing here.

When I got back to my hotel, three men were sitting in the waiting room downstairs waiting for me. They were all well dressed and when I saw the badge on their shirts, I knew that they were guards from the Gaiaclan family.

"Mr. Black," one of the men said as he saw me. He stood up and walked towards me hastily, "We've been waiting for you."

"What do you want?"

"We are from the Gaiaclan," the man said with a flourish, and I could sense the intense pride that he felt when he said that. He must think that I would be mesmerized once I heard the name. "The patriarch would like to invite you to his dinner table for a meal. I'm sure I don't have to explain how much of an honor this is. Are you free at this moment?"

The men didn't even bother asking if I would accept or not as they immediately tried to take me along. This was the famous Gaiaclan pride in action right in front of me. they think that just because they have a lot of money they can do anything they want.

I was tired and there was nothing that would make me go for an unexpected dinner invitation this suddenly, "Tell your patriarch that I refuse," I said, and I began walking to the elevator to reach my room. There were a lot of things that I needed to do and I didn't have time to deal with the Gaiaclan yet.

"Mr. Black," the man quickly ran towards me once he snapped out of his shock and he tried to stop me. he frantically waved his hand, "Did you not hear what I said!? The patriarch would like to see you!"

"And did you not hear what I said!? Tell him to shove it!!" I shouted as I continued walking towards the elevator, "I'm tired, and I don't have time for this!" I entered the elevator and folded my hands with a frown, "Tell him I'll meet him when I'm free"

The elevator closed and the men looked at each other in confusion, "Should we really tell him that?" one of them said.

"Are you insane?" the leader frowned.

I got to my room and washed up. After a few minutes, I heard a knock on my door. It was Paul, the bandit. This time, there was no guard following him because I already told them that he was my guest. He was wearing some good clothes this time and I let him in and told him to speak.

"The student seems to be a member of a small family living in the city," Paul said, "We followed him throughout the day like you ordered and we only saw him entering two places constantly. The first was the apartment building that he shares with his parents and sister, and the second is a VIP club located at the center of the city. The men reported that he was meeting some people there."

"Do you have any names?"

Paul brought out a sheet from behind him and handed it to me. I looked over the paper filled with five names, and even though some of the names were not familiar to me, there was one name that made my teeth grind, "Teran Gaiaclan." Once I laid eyes on this name, memories of my past life rushed to me.

Teran is the elder brother of the current patriarch of the Gaiaclan. He is also the managing director of one of the largest businesses under the Gaiaclan name, and most people think he is an upright person, but that was far from true. Teron was a backstabbing bastard that made life hell for all the rankers living on the lower floors after the others came. He killed his own brother, the patriarch, in a hostile takeover and used his money and power to make sure that no one could undermine his rule over the lower floors.

"And there was something else," Paul said hesitantly and I urged him to speak, "The room that the boy went into had some sort of symbol on it. The man I sent in as a spy managed to draw a crude copy of it. I don't know if it would be any help o you."

Paul gave me a piece of paper that had a drawing of a circular badge with many inscriptions on it and I immediately recognized it as the symbol of the Others

Teran would eventually die at the hands of one of the Others, but I never thought that Teran was actually working for them. He is definitely the reason behind the Other that appears on this fourth floor in one week.

I needed to deal with Teran, but before then, I needed to meet the patriarch of the Gaiaclan. There was something that just came to my mind now, and if I can play my cards well, I should be able to get the Gaiaclan to become indebted to me. It is never bad to have the richest man in the tower as your backer.

"Did you see a group of men from the Gaiaclan downstairs?" I asked Paul, and once he nodded, I grabbed one of my black outfits while speaking to him, "Get out and make sure to keep an eye on that child. Put some men on Teran and the other men on the list as well, and tell me where they go and what they do."

Pau nodded gruffly before he left the room. I had a quick bath and I finished dressing in a simple shirt and trousers before leaving the room. I packed my hair into a rough ponytail behind my head and tied it together using some back thread as I made my way into the elevator. Once I got downstairs, I saw the three men standing close to the door. They were discussing among themselves, and I was sure that they were trying to decide how to come and convince me to come with them again.
