"How are you?" Terra asked.
I smiled at her, "I'm good. Looks like you've been busy with schoolwork. You made a lot of friends."
"Yeah," Terra laughed, but it didn't have as much playfulness as it used to. Maybe she was still feeling the trauma of what happened during the entrance exam. Terra was still just a kid, so I knew seeing Michelle die would have gotten deep under her skin. She wouldn't recover from something like that easily. I would've stayed to talk more, but I really need to see the headmaster.
"Take care of yourself, okay? I have to go."
"I-I'll walk you."
"You don't really…"
"Please."
I sighed. I couldn't turn the kid down when she looked so miserable, "Yeah, come on. I need someone to keep me company anyway." Terra smiled happily as she fell into step with me and the both of us began to walk through the hallways. We were greeted by some students and teachers that recognized me from the entrance exams.
