The Dark Magus

Please support with power stones for WPC update: Didn't win. Yeah, I know, it sucks. I'd still take the power stones tho. ---------- "The dark mage, Jason, died a heroic death at the age of thirty. He sacrificed himself bravely to save all the rankers in the tower from the Others and everyone in the tower will always remember him as a hero." That is the story that everyone heard about Jason's death. The truth was very different. In truth, Jason was betrayed by the heavens just before the war ended and he was killed by the angels for his dark magic. But, as fate would have it, Jason was thrown through time after his death and he ended up in the body of his fifteen year old self. And this time, Jason swore that things will be different. ---------- The extended version of the synopsis is in the first auxiliary chapter. Give it a read if you want to know more about the book before you dive in ---------- At the start of the novel, the MC is weak, not so pathetically weak that anyone can just walk over him, but weak enough that he can't make any rash moves in the tower because there are people that are much stronger. Please, keep that in mind as you read. He won't suddenly gain his past skills in one day, neither will he find an SSSSSS+++++ rank skill overnight (That's a joke by the way. What the hell is a skill like that?) He will work for his power and even though he will grow much faster than his past life, he will still have to grow. Thanks. ---------- Maybe I need to write this too. Regressing to the past doesn't make someone an angst-lord. He doesn't have any murderous intention at every little thing that someone does. He is still a normal person, so don't expect a brooding, frowning, chain-murdering demon or something like that. Thanks. ---------- Try to read to at least chapter twenty before deciding to love or despise the book. I'm sure you'll all love the book, but if you don't, then thanks for reading, and it was a pleasure entertaining you. ---------- Can't believe none of you told me about that mistake. ---------- P.S. It's pretty fast-paced for the first arc. Second arc will be a lot more mind boggling and a little slower. Hope y'all enioy. ---------- Release Rate: 10 Chapters a week. Bonus Releases: 1 extra chapter per 20 GT.

The two of them charged at me at the same time and I activated [Black Bolt] and the sky darkened as black lightning raced down towards the two men.

Bzzzzzttttt!!

They both managed to bring up defensive skills quickly enough and they didn't bother dodging because they didn't think that I would be using any skill stronger than D class, but they had no idea that it was a C class skill. The black blot hit them and they were stunned by the intensity of it as it pushed them back.

The Earth mage was able to shake off the skill because Earth was stronger than Air, but Fire was weak to Air-based skills, so the Fire mage was thrown back as his defensive skill was easily destroyed.

The earth mage got to me and swung his sword to cut off my head. I dodged down and I was about to grab his leg, but he jumped back and grinned at me as I felt the earth under me grabbing a hold of my legs. A large boulder flew towards me as the earth mage activate another skill and I activated [Black Bolt] and shattered the rock to pieces. I used [Aura of Desolation] and destroyed the trap holding me in place before I floated to the side and dodged some vines that shot out from the ground.

I stared down at the earth mage as I stood in the air and the earth mage glared up at me in confusion.

"There's something wrong here," the fire mage said to the earth mage when he finally stood back up, "Where did he get all these skills from? He was only using D ranked skills in the last fight."

"The boss room," the earth mage pointed behind Terra to the closed boss room, "He must've killed the boss and gained some skill books."

The fire mage was still not able to believe that I could kill the boss on my own, "A D rank killing the boss of a D ranked dungeon. Is something like that even possible!?"

"Look, it doesn't matter!" the earth mage shouted at his partner and prepared another skill, "We just have to bring him back down here and stab a knife through his stupid face! I won't let anyone else take this kid from me!" the earth mage seethed like a hungry lion, "He is mine to kill."

I decided that it was time to end this and I finally called my summons. I activated [Arcane Bird] and the sky darkened as a black bird with red eyes and a wing span of more than ten meters appeared behind me. Black lightning streaked across its body and thunderstorms crashed against the darkened sky as the bird stared down at my enemies with hatred.

"What the fuck?" the fire mage was immediately stunned by the summons and he took a step back, "The kids a summoner!?"

As I floated in the sky, I pointed down at the two men, and the arcane bird swooped down and attacked. Its onyx feathers glittered in the sunlight as it released a bolt of lightning from its body, pummeling eh ground around the two men. they both tried to run away, but they were boxed in by the Arcane bird as it flew overhead and came back in for another round of attacks. This time, it opened its mouth and let out a devastating cry as [Sonic Boom] was activated, eradicating everything in its path as it approached the two men. The fire mage immediately sent up a large ball of fire, but the arcane bird used a gust of wind from its wings to get rid of the fire and it released another cry that slammed into the fire mage and sent him into the ground. I was sure that the fire mage wouldn't survive that.

The earth mage immediately tried to run away and I narrowed my eyes in disappointment as I activate Black Bolt and slammed it into the space in front of him to make him stop. He looked up at me and I was about to activate another black bolt when I saw a polearm flying in my direction.

I floated away from the polearm to dodge it and looked down to see the leader flying towards us, and he looked pissed.

"Get rid of him," I said to the Arcane Bird, "But don't kill him just yet. We still need information."

The bird cawed as it flew off to meet the leader in aerial combat. I was sure that the leader was an Air mage, so the Arcane bird shouldn't have any problems taking care of him. I looked back down at the earth mage and I saw that he had run into the forest already. The air beneath me compressed and expanded with force as I blasted off in the direction that he went. He was running through the forest and using the trees as cover to hide from me, but I could still see him whenever there were no trees to block his escape. I timed my attack to perfection and once I was sure of his position, I sent three black bolts at him!

Bzzzztttt!!

Bzzztttt!!

Bzzzzttttt!

The first bolt slammed the floor to his left, and the second slammed the floor to his right, making him stop his run to look back at me before the third bolt slammed him directly in the chest and punched a hole straight through him. He looked down at his smoking chest before he fell to his knees and died. I saw some wolves converging in his direction and I floated away from his dead body to leave it for the wolves.

By the time I got back to the clearing, I saw the Arcane bird standing over the wounded body of the leader. It was carefully pruning its feathers and cleaning itself as it stood on the man with one of its legs. Terra was at the side trying to pet the bird, but every time she comes close, it would glare at her and send her back using some wind pressure.

"Nice work," I said as I floated down from the sky, and the bird preened as it down at me. I pet the bird's side and it flapped its wings happily before I release it and let it go back to wherever summons stay in their free time. I then looked down at the bloodied and broken leader, "So I have a few questions for you," I said as I bent down and began searching through his clothes.

The leader grunted and tried o push me away, but there was no strength in his body. The arcane bird must have really done a number on him.

I brought out a map and a pencil-drawn image of Terra from inside his jacket and I tossed the picture away, "Hey!" Terra shouted, "That's my face!" she came and took the picture from the ground, "Where did they get this? My father would never let anyone paint us."

"Maybe it's someone that saw you once," I said as I took the leader's arm and removed his spatial ring. I put it on and tried to check the contents.

[The Spatial Ring belongs to a different owner. It cannot be opened by the user]

I slapped the leader and he groaned, "Open this," I said.

The leader tried to spit at me, but it just came out as a cough, "Fuck you," he said, "You can go rot in hell. When they come, you'll regret ever messing with us."

"You don't want to do this," I said to him while bringing out a dagger from inside y jacket, "Trust me, you don't want to do this. I know how to torture a man to make him pray for death ten times over. I looked like a kid to you, right? Well when I'm done, I'll look like the devil himself." I said calmly as I grabbed the man's chin and slowly inched the knife toward his eyes, "Now it's up to you to choose, do you want a peaceful death or not? Because I swear to the tower, I'll make sure you're more miserable than a leper when I'm finished."

"Fuck you," he said

I stabbed him in the eye and the man screamed. Terra flinched behind me and she looked away in disgust as I slowly cut out the man's eye and allowed it to drop out from the socket. I grabbed the eye and opened his mouth before popping it inside, "Chew," I said and the man's face scrunched up in pain and disgust as I held my hand over his mouth and forced him to swallow his eyeball. I inched my knife towards the other eye and he immediately shouted.

"Wait, I'll open it! I'll open it!"

"This would have been so much easier on the both of us if you just did that from the start," I said, and I put the ring back on his finger

I tagged this book, come and support me with a thumbs up!
