'What,' was all I could think before I was bombarded with spikes. Spikes rose from the floor and stabbed into me and the spikes that were following me from behind stabbed into my back. I coughed out blood immediately.

The shadow lord emerged from a shadow on the other side of the room and looked towards me, "Huh?" he hummed curiously, "Are you already dead?" he began walking towards me, "Is it already over?" he asked as he leaned down in front of me, "Are all hyumahns this… pathetic?"

BOOM!!

The room suddenly exploded in purple miasma and my hand stretched out and grabbed the shadow lord by his cloak before I dragged him down to my level. The glare on my face was enough to make the devil flinch.
