Also find someone to shoulder the blame for this case. I don't want other unrest in the public. In the evening, Elliot brought Rain in one of the leading stores of the city which was famous for its formal dresses. Top socialites frequented it for their attires.

"Welcome sir, Welcome Madam. Welcome to our store" an assistant came forward to welcome them as soon as they stepped into the store. The assistant was stunned by the looks of the couple. 'Ah! What a match made in heaven. So handsome. So pretty. Some people are really blessed.' The shop assistant thought.

"I want a suitable dress for the lady here for a business banquet" Elliot said pointing towards Rain.

"Sure sir. Please come this way." The assistant made them sit in one of the lounges where she brought the dresses as per her customers requirement.

"This one and this one. Erena, go and try on these two pieces." Elliot chose two decent pair of outfits from the bunch, keeping in mind the scar that might have been caused by the bullet back in the Clam city.

Rain nodded and took the outfits into the trial room with her. She did not think much about letting Elliot choose the outfit for her as she never cared about the clothes that she wore. Nor she had to ever worry about it. It was usually her brothers who chose the clothes she wore. Even when she moved to Abrea, an year back, her brothers send her the clothes using their private jet. Not to mention that hellish place where it was enough if you were given food. Who had time to think about these clothes.

But the shop assistant following her had other ideas in mind. She looked at Rain enviously. 'What a lucky girl. Her boyfriend is so nice to her. Why isn't my boyfriend like this?'

After some time, there was a moment and the door to the trial room opened. Elliot stood up in daze when his gaze landed on a tall girl cladded in navy blue, long dress which clinched her body in perfect places, highlighting all her positive attributes. Elliot of proud of his choice.

Even the shop assistant was stunned by her beauty. She was no longer envious of her. She looked at her with worshipping gaze 'Only a beauty like this is suitable for a handsome and caring man like this. This man is quite lucky to find a beauty like this. Only a dress was enough to completely transform her. God! What were you doing when creating the rest of us. Did you spend all our beauty potions in her?'

"You look good in this Erena. No need to try on the other ones. This will suffice for now" Elliot said with a poker face trying to hide his bafflement.

"Thank you, Kai. Then I will go and pay for the dress." Rain said as she stepped to head towards the billing counter.

"Where are you going?" Elliot grabbed her hand, stopping her before she could make a move.

"I just said that I was going to pay for this." Rain said.

"I heard that but why are you the one paying? I brought you here so I should be the one paying for it." Elliot said.

"But I will be the one wearing it and keeping it unless you want to take it back after the banquet tonight. But why would you do that? Is it for your girlfriend? I may not be an expert on this, but from what I have come across, girls would not like if their boyfriend gave them used goods. You should buy a new one for your girlfriend, Kai."

"I don't have a girlfriend." Elliot said, pissed
