I get out of my car and walked to the venue. This is… a venue? Why this venue was beautiful rather than in the photos that we found on the internet. "Ms. Gabriela, my name is Veronica Wijaya. How's your trip today?" She shakes my hand.
I'm nodding my head and sighed. "We… want to get married here. W-we from… New Jersey." She nodding her head.
"Ah… you want to get married here with your partner? Welcome to Indonesia!" We followed her to the waiting room. "Do you already have a concept or do you need inspiration from us?" I'm nodding my head. Veronica pleased us to take a seat. This sofa was too comfy for a small venue like this.
I'm gripping her hand as my heart beating fast. "We already have the concept, but we just need only a venue. Can we just… rent the venue, or we should rent the venue with the… package, or something else? We already have Wedding Organizer and catering from our own." Rose said. It's all her dreams.
I hope our wedding become our the first and last. Once in our lives time. "Wedding Organizer often comes with packages such as catering and venue. Why you don't ask them?" I think she's confused.
"It's her dream wedding." Rose nodding her head.
"We count the venue rent with per 20 guests." Veronica said as she put the price catalogue. "All the price list it's not including catering." She said.
I took one of the paper and sighed. We should discuss it more with her. It's perfect. I already fall in love with this place. Why discussing wedding more complex rather than discussing food you want to order? "About the… food."
Rose slapped my shoulder. Ouch! "I want her catering!" I'm scratching my nape. She prohibited us from
"I'm sorry ma'am. You can discuss the catering only with us. We have almost 20 cuisine around the world and Indonesia's country. If you want to taste the sample, we can…"
She stands up, then leaving us. "Rose!" I called her name several times, but she keeps ignoring me. My side-mission: persuade her.
I'm massaging my temple and sighed. "It's fine, Ms. Gabriela. It happens all the times." She handing me her business card."You can call to this number."
"I'm sorry for it because… she has a friend here and wants to help her with her small business." Veronica chuckling and nodding her head.
"It's fine, Ms. Gabriela, and congratulation on your married. I hope your marriage will last longer until both of you grow old together." Veronica. You're an excellent agent.
I walked to the parking lot and found her standing in front of my car with her arms over her chest. Looked at her. She's cute with that pink dress, denim jacket, and wearing white sneakers. She curls her hair with iron hair curler.
I standing next to her and sighed. "What's your call? That venue was…"
"The catering, Lobak!" I'm nodding my head. "I know the date is perfect for us, but… the chance to fix my relationship with her will lose!"
I pulled her closer. "Who said if we not use her service, we will lose a chance?" She's looking at me, furrowed her brow. "I… already called my friend. She's in Japan right now and already met her."
She widened her eyes. "What?! How…" She rolled her eyes, then stared at me. "Why you send people to…"
"We're in Indonesia and discussing our wedding." Rose gets inside of my car. "Babe…" I followed her to get inside.
"Babe…" She looked at me with her lazy look. "I know… you don't want another person to know it, but… it's an urgent matter, right? We can't… go to Japan and abandon your dream. I'm sorry if I…"
"No, you right. This is my priority, but next time, please discuss it with me!" I'm nodding my head. Glad we're not called off for the wedding. I sighed in relief and grabbed her hand.
"I know you are still mad at me, but that agent wants you to say yes or no." She hummed. She looks like her mother whenever she put that expression. Cute and cold at the same time.
"You have… allergy to peanut, right? How about… we discus it while we searching something such as… souvenir for our guest?" I sit next to her.
Hanks turned on the engine and leave from the venue. "When is the venue close?" I'm looking at their website on my phone.
"Um… 5.30 PM. If you want to stay in this city, I know a hotel here." She looks at me. "When I was a child, my parents often visiting this city to just spending a night. Besides, there's a place famous for their street foods, atmosphere and it's nearby the hotel I mention earlier."
She furrowed her brow. I know she will look at me that way. "What?! You've been here every time or…"
I'm chuckling. "No." I took a deep breath. It's a painful memory to remember for me. "Whenever we want to. When I was in kindergarten, my family always go out of the town to eat. We stopped by at a restaurant named Kelana, right?" She's nodding her head. "That place can category as an elite restaurant before they changed their name. That place was one of the place we've been eating for decades."
"That means… whenever they want to go eat?!" I'm nodding my head. Today, I'm eating at that restaurant with my fiance. I hope I can bring my child to that place. Will she agree with my request or otherwise?
"What's wrong?" She asked.
I sighed, put my head on her shoulder. "We should search for a souvenir. What do you have in mind?" I picked my phone and searching it in Pinterest. There's a lot of inspiration I can use from this social media.
"Keep scrolling." I keep scrolling through the feeds. "Stop! There." I opened the photo. A jar? I know it's useful for anyone. They can store anything or turned them into a vase. My mom did that to grow her mint leaves, thyme, basil, or a small plant that could place inside the house.
"Put a sticker of our name or initial. Done!" Okay, souvenir done. Now how to wrap this useful glass jar?
I put my phone away because my head spins. Argh! Radiation. I was wondering why she can handle it? I close my eyes and sighed. "Wake me when we already get there." She put my head on her tight.
"You need rest, Lobak. You're working hard today." I can feel her gentle touch on my head. I hope we can be together forever. Till death do us part.
