Chapter 24: Dumple (Part 1)

We arrived again at Bandung, but this time. I asked Reggie to drive us to a fancy restaurant to meet Galih's mom. Raden Magdalena Putri Ayu Saraswati, or Magdalena Wardiono.

Her model portfolio was quite impressive. Miss Indonesia 1989, top 3 Miss Universe, and The winner of Miss World. Brand ambassador of YouC1000 vitamins.

"You alright?" I shook my head. I have a feeling that his mom will say he was innocent. She loves her son, but Galih is more like his father. Besides that, Galih rumored will heritage the throne.

This problem shouldn't get scooped. Once you get troubled with a royal family, it will damage your reputation, or worst scenario, you will die because of depression.

"If it does not go well, what if we kidnap your mom and move to New Zealand with us?" Rose nods.

"We can buy a ranch there, right?" I smiled.

"Sure, so what do you want to open? Dairy?" Rose kissed my cheek.

"I want to open a fresh meal like HelloFresh, but Indonesian food." I nodded.

I will move my company to New Zealand too. I hope she has that Raden's attitude. I took a deep breath when we arrived at the lobby. Jade Crystal Restaurant, this is interesting. "Reggie," I gave him an envelope which contained a letter for him, "here's in case if I decide to move, you can call me on that number." Reggie burned the paper with his lighter.

"I will follow you, Mrs. Gabriela. Hanks will do the same." I smiled because of his response.

"Picked us up an hour later," we got out of the car, then gave him a money, "buy some food. Can you order us a cheeseburger for us? Keep the change." We walked inside the restaurant.

I looked at my surrounding. It's quiet. Mrs. Wardiono already booked the whole restaurant, nice. "remember, no matter how fall you were, I will never leave you." I hold her hand tightly.

We walked to the VIP room, and we stopped by her bodyguard. "Mrs. Wardiono..." I heard the door open, and we saw her.

"Mrs. & Mrs. Gabriela?" I gulped. She looks like the Baroness in Cruella.

"Y-yeah?" I took a deep breath and tried to keep calm. The bodyguard let us in, and I took off my suit. Okay, you a Vicenzo's sister. I know you were nervous, but this is your chance to talk to his mom.

"Have a seat, please," she said.

I took a glance at Rose. It's our first time meeting her in person. "Well, we should talk, right?" Okay, calm, Lobak. Don't take everything rush.

She put her cup on the table and leaned on the chair.

"Okay, I know the incident at Surabaya. It's not Galih's fault, Lobak. His wife was the one who caused the trouble," she continued, "besides that, I don't like his wife. I heard about the broke up, and I apologize on behalf of my son," they have ears, eyes, and mouth everywhere.

I nodded and took a deep breath. "It's fine," I took a sip, "can I ask about Galih's father, Mrs. Wardiono?" I gave her my iPad. "You also heard about the corruption, right?" Mrs. Wardiono read the report.

"He..." I raised my eyebrow.

"Don't worry. We promise not to tell about the press," Rose tried to convince Mrs. Wardiono to speak.

"My husband flee to Thailand. You can arrest him. We were in the process of divorce." Well, that's new to me. "Galih was innocent! I can prove it!" She loves him so much, but your son was not.

I sighed. "Ma'am, I'm not blaming your son, but why would you say that word to me?" I grabbed her hand, "I'm pissed right now, but I know your son was a victim, and he was innocent. I know your son doesn't love you back." She burst into tears.

"I'm sorry, I..." I hugged her and rubbed her back.

"It's okay, ma'am. I can feel your heartache," I said. I let her cry on my shoulder. Galih should respect his mom more than his dad! Now I am mad with him.

"We will talk to him for you, ma'am. I promise I will not report him to jail." I took a glance at Rose. "Please, we only wanted the truth, ma'am," what kind of child does to this their parents?

My parents don't love me. It's a different case, but who knows. I looked at her. She's already 57 years old, but why does Galih hate his mom? I should dig deeper, "I will talk to your son tonight. Are you want to come with us? I promise no camera." I'm waiting for her to answer.

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Gabriela. I..." I smiled.

"It's okay. Take your time." We stood up, and I grabbed my suit. "Thanks for the tea," I put on my business card and smiled, "here's a QR code for the hotel information. You can scan it or visit the link at the bottom of the QR code." We walked to the lobby.

I did not see a car. I sat on the floor, "but I still want a ranch," I chuckled.

"Okay, okay," I stood up and cleaned up my butt. "While we were waiting for Reggie. What if we eat some snacks here? I heard the dumpling was good." She nods.

"I'm hungry too," she said as hugs my arms. We get back inside, "Mrs. Gabriela, I thought you had already gone back to your hotel," Mrs. Wardiono said.

"No, we decided to have lunch snack." I pulled the chair for Rose.

"You want to join us?" I raised my eyebrow. She smiled at us and shook her head firmly.

"No, thanks." She said. Okay, I think it's busy. I take a sit in front of her.

A waitress approached us to fill the water and gave the menu, "welcome to Jade Crystal Restaurant. You want to take order now, or wanted to..." I nodded.

"We only want to dumple, and please serve us your best dumpling," the waitress picked our menu back as she smiled.
