Chapter 23: My Angel (Part 2)

I put my glasses next to my agenda, then rubbed my face. There are a lot of things to do before re-launched this company. I'm looking at the corner of my desk.

There's a picture of me and her taking selfie inside the bathroom. I picked the picture and wiped the glass. "How are you?" I keep nursing the frame.

It's been a tough year for me. I opened the frame and took a deep breath.

Flashback on

We walked side by side to the toilet. She needs it, not me. "I stayed here, okay?" I said as I paid the entrance for her. She shook her head. Oh, come on!

I paid another fee again, and we get inside. Lot of eyes looking at me. "Keep your eyes, or I pulled those!" Whoa, chill. I washed my hands and look myself in the mirror. I took out my phone and open the camera.

I took a picture of myself from this wide mirror and look at the result. "Seriously!? You paid just for selfie?" I deleted the picture and raised my eyebrow.

"Come on. I have…" She holds my hand and pulled me.

"Let's take a picture together!" I can see her eyes were glowing. I took a deep breath and looked at her. My battery was low.

"Did you bring my power bank?" She shook her head, then took out her phone. Argh… fine! I grabbed her phone to take our picture.

Flashback off

I still remember that day. It was my first time to take a picture with her. Gladly, the toilet was empty that day and not much traffic. It's a one of good old memories with her.

I pick my zippos and try to light a fire, then I put the picture on the ashtray and burn it. "Lobak? Are you in there?" I wiped my tears and cleared my throat.

I want to show her happiness. "Come in!" I'm flipping through this document and wearing my glasses to pretending. She brings a two glasses of juice. "You haven't slept yet?"

Rose put the coaster next to my laptop, followed by the glass. "I can't sleep. How about you?" She sits on the couch in the center of the room. I told Bella to stay because I need to accompany my wife. Kwang In and I will go out of the town for 2 days.

It's all because of the work. I already get some kind of intel that my dad's friend has another asset. That's why we wanted to check them. "I want to go out of the town for two days. It's that okay with you?" I asked. "I already called the triplets to accompany you."

Rose hummed. Her expression change after I inform her my departure. "Where?" I walked towards her, then sits next to her.

"Palangkaraya." She hummed. Rose put her head on my shoulder with her hand surrounding my arm. She is cute that way and beautiful. Am I really in love with her? My heart keeps beating whenever she's around me. Inside, deep in my heart, I want to protect her.

I want to make her happy living with ease. I won't let her down, and feeling the struggling ever again. Is that worth it? Breaking my promise to her for this woman? It's better I move on?

It's already been a year since our breakup, and she already married with that man. She's happy. I should find my happiness, right? "Lobak. Is that your true name? I wonder what kind of parent named their child Lobak?" Rose looking me in the eye and shrugged my shoulder.

"It's not a name, honestly. It's a… nickname?" I gripped her hand. "My real name is…"

"Lobak!? Are you in there?" Right, the triplets already arrived. They are my cat takers. I called them triplets because they are triplets.

Cassandra, Daniella, and Bella. Daniela was the oldest among them. Their real name wasn't it. I just get inspired by the Resident Evil: VILLAGE, and I love Miss D's daughters. It's just a game. I don't take it personally. Besides, I already have an angel here. "The triplets will accompany you, and they're here to help you and protect."

She looks me in the eye. "Your not…" I'm nodding my head.

I'm promise to myself not let anyone to hurt her. None of them will hurt you. "They are… my cats taker. They're obviously not a vampire." She slaps my shoulder and hiding her face on my neck.

I took a deep breath and looks at her. She lay her body and put her heads on my tights. I'm petting her hair until she falls asleep. "Oh…" I turned my head and Cassandra looks at me.

"Sup, beautiful vampire! How's Ethan Winter?" Cassandra rolled her eyes, then she sits on the armchair.

She took a deep breath and looks at Rose, who had already fallen asleep. "So, there's she is. The one who melted your heart." She likes to chewing a gum. I nodded my head and took a deep breath. She looks at my desk.

"She is the best for you, Lobak. I hope you stopped called me Cassandra. My name is Andriani, by the way." Sadly, it won't change.

"You should change your name and your siblings into that, serious. That is a good name, but weird." She walked to my desk and drinks my juice, then leave the empty glass there.

She and her siblings are good person. I often called them or one of them to come taking care my cats. My cats are in a good hand. Luke walking towards and keeps meowing.

"There you are, tall boy." I picked him and peck his nose. I'm petting his head. No one will hurt my cats and her. "I want to go to out of town. Please be kind to your siblings, aunts, uncle, and the triplets, also the person who is sleeping on my tights."

Luke keeps meowing as if he doesn't want me to leave. I took a deep breath. Look what I have now. Maybe I should take a rest because tomorrow I have a flight to catch up.
