S1E10: Time for Confrontation, Part 3

And here we are.

The main office of the to-be conqueror of Dillingtonlandia.

It looks more like a throne room of some generic evil overlord in the many RPGs I've played to death.

First off, there's this ominous architecture, notably the gargoyle statues and floating rocks.

There are also some technological aspects to this office, as I can spot several tubes, machines, and even glass panels that all have something to do with the so-called "dancespores".

The mistress of this lair, Carmealla Gonzalvo, just sneers at us as she starts...

"Well, well, well. The stick boy and his foolish playmates."

But in the midst of her sneering, we can spot a faint voice of surprise from her otherwise vile mouth.

"(Huh? Agaton?)"

Agaton doesn't waste any time convincing his wife to come back to her senses, giving her a hug.

"Carmealla! My wife! You must free yourself from Mr. Alomani's manipulation!"

We can all spot her experiencing some kind of convulsion, which highly suggests that she's fighting the corruption her master injected into her.

"AAAGGGHHH! Let go of me! No, don't! GGGHHHHH!!!"

I ask the obvious, "What's happening to her?"

Agaton readily answers, "I had some kind of aura that affected her manipulation. It stemmed from my raw emotion."

But then, the corruption within her tries to prevail, as she states with her vile voice...

"The Great Leader must be followed! All who oppose to his rule – OUR RULE – must be liquidated!"

Christian alerts us, "No, her natural senses are weakening!"

She then commands...

"Bring more spores! Kill that pesky Agaton Muller!"

As if to follow her command to a T...

Two of the tubes spray out the spores.

Eventually, the office is now filled with the abhorrent airborne substance.

Agaton and CJ are greatly weakened, but the rest of us don't.

The two, before their bodies give in to unconsciousness, state the following...

"We... must... save... Carmealla... from... her... uh..."

[Note]

CJ is temporarily unavailable.

Of course, I'm naturally incensed at this repulsive trickery.

"Grrrr... Carmealla Gonzalvo, I'll free you from Ralston Alomani's control!"

Christian the big guy bravely declares, "Peace and order must be restored to Dillingtonlandia!"

The mistress just continues her sneering.

"How pathetic. To think that flimsy teenagers like you will subjugate a great power that extends to all of Daig'digaia! All must bow to the greatness of our cause!"

Nolan, in his usual tone of being the son of preachers, airs his righteous defiance.

"It is not correct! All people have the free will to do whatever they want as long as it is pleasing to see in God's eyes!"

But the mistress still persists.

"Our will is salvation. Our will is perfect. Our will is eternal harmony. I am spreading the word here in Dillingtonlandia through the use of the robot at Padronas and also of my most trusted servants, Kukurikabumon and the Kotong King. I am now trying to brainwash everyone residing at Dillington High School; but with you vermin getting in my way, that plan is sabotaged."

Gershwin emits the aura of a certain wrestler when he quips the following.

"No evil thing will ever, EEEEEEEEVER, touch the land of our beloved alma mater again."

She continues on rambling.

"And yet you all still stand defiant against my grandiose plans for this land. It matters not. Through my intensive female domination policy, I will subdue you all!"

No sooner does she emit a malevolent aura, which then transforms her into a humanoid monster carrying magical artifacts that facilitate her latent magical power.

As we all draw our weapons, Jurina, Juniper, and Bearwin cry out...

"Daig'digaia's liberation starts here! Prepare for battle!"

[Note]

CJ is no longer unavailable.

Aghast that a bunch of youths (that's us) have defeated her after a protracted battle, she states in disbelief...

"How could my female domination policy lose? I'm worthless... No! I shouldn't be!"

She then reverts to her normal, pre-Movement form as she collapses, which alerts her beloved husband.

"CARMEALLA! Please... don't die! I wanna spend some more precious moments with you."

But the just-defeated woman expresses her regrets.

"It is too late, my beloved husband. I realized my big error. And to the eight teenagers, please forgive me. It is my fault that I became a part of a sinister plot. So to save the world and my own soul, please change Master Ralston to his former good self... For... the ben... e... fit... of... all... Daig..."

In her husband's arms, Carmealla Gonzalvo finally perishes, with her body disintegrating into nothing soon afterwards.

The now-minted widower screams her name in anguish, voicing his anger towards the sky, as if he's cursing it.

"CARMEALLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"

He then releases his floodgate of tears towards what remains of his beloved wife – her wedding ring.

Witnessing this heart-wrenching scene, I can only comment...

"There's no use in crying. Even a million liters."

Jurina echoes my sentiment.

"It's the product of fate, you know. We... all can't control it."

But we've got no time to mourn, as we can hear alarms blaring everywhere.

A computerized voice accommodates the alarms.

"Alert! Alert! Intruders eliminated Mistress Carmealla! Back-up gunnery vehicles, engage!"

Suddenly, the two gargoyle statues transform into the gunnery vehicles mentioned by the computerized voice.

Gershwin reacts appropriately, "Not ANOTHER ACTION MOVIE!"

Christian makes the matter urgent, "RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! And do not forget Agaton, too!"

Instructing Jurina and CJ to safeguard Agaton, who has just picked up the wedding ring left behind by her now-deceased wife, we six boys start to operate the elevator as soon as possible.

Just as the gunnery vehicles are starting to close in on us nine, we immediately ride the elevator, hoping to buy us all enough time to evade them while making our way out of this forsaken dungeon.

We all then run through and outside the dungeon, then to the cave, then to the field, dodging enemy fire. Until...

Nolan expresses his discontent, "No! We have reached the seashore, but there is no water transportation!"

Just then, a voice from above – the same one I've heard when I've first landed here in Daig'digaia – offers us a solution.

"Water vehicle, you asked? Here, have this motorboat. It's called the Fiery Swan. The maximum number of passengers for this baby is ten, and is therefore great for tense situations like this."

Yeah, this may seem like a deus ex machina situation, but any help is better than no help!

As the Fiery Swan materializes, Jurina exclaims...

"They're approaching us! We're under heavy fire!"

The voice reassures us...

"Yeah, yeah, just hop in and I'll do the rest."

We ride on the motorboat; and the motorboat suddenly accelerates through the sea, then through the Rikhoyan and Cousetengu Oceans – all on autopilot mode. The gunnery vehicles, which actually have a water transportation mode, soon follow.

[Mini-game: The Chase through the Western Oceans]

Objective: Get to the southwestern continent of Daig'digaia (since Dillingtonlandia is the northwest), while dodging bullets from the gunnery vehicles. If you lose this mini-game by letting the motorboat lose all of its health before reaching the continent, it's game over.

Utilizing whatever little we know about driving, we steer the Fiery Swan away from enemy fire, while the motorboat itself maintains its speed.

With their AI knowing that we adroitly dodge their bullets, the gunnery vehicles try another approach – ramming themselves against our vehicle.

Once again, we can't just depend on the Fiery Swan's autopilot mode alone; as we steer it away from the enemy's ramming attacks.

Eventually, we can spot a piece of land, meaning that the chase is almost over.

But upon reaching the new continent, the motorboat and the gunnery vehicles unknowingly collide with each other, causing an explosion that sends us nine away into the grass fields of that continent.

After that fiasco, Carmealla Gonzalvo's Dungeon is now reduced to nothing but a pile of big rubble, its disintegration a result of the lair's self-destruct AI activating as a result of its mistress's death.

We all survive the crash, but at the cost of our consciousnesses gradually fading away.

We just all hope... that whatever happens in this new continent doesn't overwhelm us.

After all, we still have 42 more adventurers to recruit.

This... is just the beginning of unity.

A unity that will light the eternal flame and let it burn forever.
