Late in the night, Parrot and Lily had their patience tested to the maximum as they waited outside in the courtyard of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. From the time the monk told them to wait for the Templars, six hours had gone by.
The chilly night air was going through their clothes, leaving them cold and shivering. Parrot could see goosebumps all over his hands. To keep warm, he put his fingers under his armpits. This did not solve the problem of shivering; however, it kept his hands somehow warm. Had it been daytime, it was going to be seen that each of their breaths condensed mist before their faces.
"Parrot, is it normal for us to have to wait this long?" Lily asked him. He felt that had he been alone, his patience could have run out a long time ago. The whole day and night, they were following these knights and they were hungry and worn out.
