Heather had a hard time getting any sleep at all the night before but it did little to dampen her enthusiasm for the job that she was getting ready to start.
Not sleeping meant that she could use the extra time to do a lot of research on a number of things that Eirwin had mentioned to her and other things she was just naturally interested in due to the start. There was so much that she felt she needed to catch up on.
This lead her to be at the office half an hour earlier than Eirwin had requested she be there be. She couldn't come up with a reason as to why it would be problematic for her to come early since she was eager to get started.
Even though she was fairly certain that he was in his office already, he still ended up making her wait outside until the appointed time.
She didn't understand why he wouldn't want her to get started on everything sooner rather than later except that maybe it was because of the way that his own schedule worked.
When she did get told that she could go up and into his office, he was acting as if everything that had happened the day before had occurred or at least that was how it seemed to Heather based upon his formal reaction to her.
"Miss Jennings, here's the contract that I told you about. Feel free to go through it and make sure you agree with everything before you sign it." the dragon told her as he handed her the papers before she even had a chance to fully sit down.
"Thank you." she replied as she took the contract from him so that she could properly go through it. She glanced up from it a few times to see what the other was doing as she read through it.
Once she was certain that there was nothing in it that she couldn't agree to, she signed it and handed it back to him.
"Thank you, now we can get back on to serious business." He told her as he put the paper back down on his desk. He would make sure to get his secretary to take care of filling it later.
Eirwin didn't get the chance to explain what was going on or what he expected her to do before someone had waltzed into his office though the door. The look that was on the dragon's face spoke heavily of the annoyance he felt by the other's sudden presence.
"Really? I thought that you had said you'd be Coming later today?" Eirwin asked the other with thick layer of annoyance in his voice.
"Really now, that's the kind of response you have to offer your best friend." The man Edi bad entered the office looked far too dazzling I'm Heather's opinion to have been human. Humans normally didn't sparkle and charm the same way that this man was.
She could only guess by the way he was dressed and the hat on his head that he must've been some type of airman.
"And you had to come dressed in your full outfit as well?" the other shrugged in response to the questions.
"Things can change quickly and unexpected with flights. I didn't want to waste too much time and not be able to talk with you." He explained.
"I would prefer next time if you'd properly swap your clothes before coming here." Eirwin replied with a sigh. He really didn't want to have to deal with problems already on his day back.
The other had hardly listened to what he had said however as his attention had shifted on to Heather who was sitting opposite of the dragon at the desk and seemed intently interested in him.
"Well hello there. Aren't you a beautiful little thing." he commented as he come closer so that he could get a better look at Heather. She didn't so much as move as he put his hand under her chin so he could tilt her head up and get a better look at her face.
"Savial don't even think about trying to hypnotize and eat my assistant." Eirwin warned when he saw how intently the other was examining her. The Airman laughed in response to this as he moved his hand out from under the woman's chin and opted to kiss her right hand instead.
"Quite lovely meeting you. And don't worry about what this one says- I'm not here to eat anyone today. Just simply looking to deliver some information." He told her as he flashed her a smile before turning his attention back to Eirwin.
"I did come with good information this time. Perhaps something more useful than last time." Savial told his friend.
"I'm aware because I heard your message. I had expected that you would be coming later however and have the decency to knock first considering I'm busy with something." It was true he could see that the dragon was trying to deal with something else, but he felt the information that he had gotten ahold of trumped that.
"I do understand that dear friend and I apologize for not telling you about the shift in time, but it happened so suddenly that I thought it would be better for me to just come here and explain everything. You know how unpredictable flights can be" Savial replied.
Eirwin was about to say something in response to this when Heather interjected herself into the conversation.
"I'm sorry if I'm being rude, but I'm curious to know what exactly you are because I can't quite figure it out though I think it would be part of my job to know." The women asked as she kept her eyes fixed on Savial who stared at her amused, a charming smile appearing on his face almost as though he was delighted that she had asked this question. He took off his hat before offering her a small bow as he answered her question.
"I'm a harpy, love and rather lovely to meet your acquaintance."
