The Cursed Heiress Strikes Back

I will help you take your revenge,” Vladimir said with a faint smile. Celine cleared her throat and asked. “Why?” “Because I want to, not that I pity you. I just need a woman by my side” Vladimir replied. “And what would you gain by helping me?” Celine asked with a heart beating loudly in her chest. She just wanted to ask these questions but the truth is, she is ready to go with him. “A lot,” Vladimir replied, maintaining his composure. “And what are those?” “I can't tell you that but you are safe, Celine,” Vladimir replied, with his index finger pressed to the crook of his nose. “Then, what do you want in return?” ”Nothing for now but I will want something in return in the future and I know you will do it” Celine sees no harm in this and she believes she is not going to regret it. “I will take your offer but don't regret it if I don't later accept what you want,” Celine said aloud for Vladimir to hear, not having any ounce of regret in her. **** Celine got rejected by her fated mate on her wedding day because of the curse she carried. Just a good looking man

Celine twitched her eyelids because of the sudden headache. She sat up on the bed, her brain trying to process what transpired. She could barely remember a thing right now but she realized this wasn't her room.

Memories of what happened came rushing in.

Her lips didn't stop quivering as she held onto the fabric of her wedding dress. Tears pooled on her face, wetting her cheeks as she sobbed quietly.

Celine touched her head to see it was a bandage. She remembered her father was the one who caused her injury.

"I'm sorry mother." She whispered faintly.

"I failed to protect myself," Celine said, sobbing quietly. Her skin was flushed pink with tears.

There was a knock at the door. Celine quickly used the opportunity to clean her face with her stained wedding dress.

The door was pushed open and a man came in but he looked so familiar. A realization hit her and her heart skipped a beat.

Apart from being cursed, Celine has had several wet dreams and there was this man that usually came to her dream.

But now that same man in her dream was standing right in front of her in his full glory and her mouth watered.

Maybe it was just her brain playing tricks on her. A desire she hadn't felt surged through her and she reprimanded herself for acting like this after getting betrayed by the people she called her family.

"I brought you tea," the handsome strange man said. Celine was skeptical about taking the drink but she did take it because she was thirsty. He brought her here, so she assumed he meant no harm.

"You must be the one who brought me here. Thank you," Celine said with no rudeness in her voice. She was indeed grateful.

"It's fine," he muttered, his reply short but Celine was just curious to know more about him.

"Who are you?" Celine asked and she noticed the way his emotions flickered.

Celine wondered if her question was rude. She was about to apologize when the man suddenly parted his lips, surprising her.

"My name is Vladimir, sweet. I'm no one. Just a good-looking man who earned the nickname Demon Wolf," he replied, the smile disappearing from his face.

"Just a good-looking man?" Celine wondered, not believing one bit. Of course, he is handsome but does he have to rub it on her face?

She didn't believe she even asked him if he was a grim reaper.

"Silly you," Celine muttered to herself with her eyes closed. She tried to hold on to the last hope she had left and just heard him out.

"Thank you for the hospitality. I will repay you once I get back. Let me have your contact info…" Celine stopped mid-sentence when she realized her phone wasn't with her right now. She left it in her room.

"You don't have to bother repaying  me, Celine." Celine watched the way her name rolled out of his tongue sweetly, like a sweet vanilla.

"You can pay me in another way." He said standing up from the sofa.

"What way?" Celine asked with an expressionless face but she was screaming internally and she wanted to leave right now.

He only helped her, so why would he demand something else?

"Be my wife, Celine and I will let you repay them tenfold. I will help you," he proposed, staring deeply into her eyes and Celine swallowed hard at his handsomeness.

His words struck a chord in her heartstrings.

"Why did you want to help me without knowing me and a marriage? Do you think I seriously want to do that right now? You can just leave me alone and ignore me like everyone else," Celine whispered but Vladimir caught every word she said. She didn't even know why she was whispering now.

"I think you wanted to escape? I can help you heal your illness or whatever it is and on the other side, I will help with your revenge. Just by my wife for a year," he said, bending low to match her height with his.

Celine could feel goosebumps forming on her white skin because of the way his breath fanned her face. His smell was just so good that it intoxicated her, breaking her resolve.

"He knew about me? Then he is not an ordinary man," Celine thought in her mind.

"Breathe," he murmured against the shell of Celine's ear, sending shivers down her toes.

It felt as if her body complied with his command. Celine let out the breath she had been holding. Her chest heaved with every breath she took.

"Vladimir," Celine said, calling her by his name. "I should leave and I never said I was going to repay them. I know my father will say something." Celine said in a rather cold way and stood up from the bed.

"I know you will, Celine but just in case you have a change of mind, this is my contact." He said tossing a card to her, and Celine caught it.

Celine was torn about what to do but she was not going to ask this man for help.

"The butler will give you a new dress to wear, and then you can change. He will drive you to wherever your destination is." Vladimir said, looking at Celine closely.

Celine flashed him a smile and parted her lips. "Thanks for the generosity," Celine said, giving a slight bow.

"But I won't need that because I can just call one of my father's men to get me a dress and a car right now to…"

"I get you. It's fine. I will tell him not to bother anymore," Vladimir said, cutting Celine off. He pushed the door open for Celine to step out.

Celine hadn't taken a few steps when she suddenly realized she wasn't with her phone. Not only that, she didn't bother to memorize any number apart from her father's own.

"Oh no, Celine. What have you done!" Celine screamed in her mind.

"Aren't you going to step out?" Vladimir asked, breaking Celine's thought.

She smiled and stepped out of the room. But how is she going to change her dress and leave here when she has already refused the offer?

Celine turned abruptly to face Vladimir and said with embarrassment. "I'm sorry, but can you still help with the dress?"

"Yes, it's fine. The butler will get it ready for you right away," Vladimir said.

"Thank you," Celine muttered.

"Ah, I almost forgot. Go to the doctor for a check-up tomorrow and you can change the bandage." Vladimir said and paused. "You didn't have any severe injuries. Don't panic," Vladimir added when he noticed the expression on Celine's face.

"Thank you. I promise to repay you," Celine said apologetically and followed the butler to change her dress.

Vladimir left and went into his room. When Celine was done wearing the dress, the butler insisted on driving her home, saying it was the master's command.
