Chapter 4

Yuji stared at a TV focused on the movie that was playing, on his lap was a cursed corpse that he was infusing his cursed energy into. The boy picked up a faint thud as he raised his hand to wave without breaking his focus on the screen or the cursed corpse, "Hey sensei." the boy greeted slightly surprising his teacher since it was the first time someone heard him coming after teleporting, ''Yo, Yuji.'' Gojo greeted back getting closer and leaning over the back of the couch the boy was sitting on, ''Hm, reinforcing your senses with positive cursed energy which can upgrade them to an unnatural degree. Hehe I guess we all have our own unique way of using reverse cursed energy that others can't.''

''Soo why are you back so soon?'' Yuji after pausing the movie as his teacher, ''Come with me, I want to teach you about the pinnacle of Jujutsu sorcery, Domain Expansion.'' Gojo said straightening up and walking out of the hotel room, his student closely following after. Next thing the teen knew they were standing on top of a river, in front of them was a cursed spirit, incomparably stronger than the special grade he fought a week back putting him on edge. ''What's this? Decided to get yourself a meat shield, huh Satoru Gojo?'' the spirit spoke surprising the younger sorcerer.

''A shield? No no he's just here to watch. I'm teaching him quite a bit of stuff so don't mind him.'' Gojo explained waving his hand in dismissal, ''Bringing someone in will only hold you back. Are you truly a fool?'' the curse asked making the teacher chuckle, ''Don't you worry your little volcano head. Afterall, Your weak.'' Gojo said the last part mockingly causing the Jogo's head to burst into flames indicating his rage, ''Weak!?! H-he's weak!? Just how strong is Gojo sensei!?'' The curse grasped his hands to make a hand sign, ''Domain expansion: Coffin of The Iron Mountain.'' He said as they would be enveloped in this domain, the surroundings changing into a mountainness area with lava flowing all around.

''What you experienced back in the reform school was an incomplete domain, a domain that did not have a cursed technique imbued in it. Making a domain needs a lot of cursed energy but the benefits you get from it, is worth the loss. One of the benefits is the boost in states due to environmental factors, another is that the techniques imbued in it are guaranteed to hit with in the domain.'' Gojo explained to his student who was awe struck at how strong a domain can be, a large blast of lava shot at the two sorcerers but it didn't reach them thanks to limitless, ''There are a few ways to deal with this, either taking the hit using a cursed technique like I just did or, and I don't really recommend this but you can try to go out of the domain but its usually impossible. The most effective way of to deal with a domain is to layout your own, if two domains clash the superior one will cancel out the weaker one but compatibility and the amount of cursed energy needed can also factor in this.''

''The won't even be any ashes left of you when I'm done, Satoru Gojo!'' Jogo shouted sending out more lava blasts at the sorcerers, Gojo smiled as he grabbed his blindfold and lowered it revealing his blue eyes while his other hand, he then cross his middle finger over his index finger, ''Domain Expansion: Infinite Void.'' The older sorcerer called out as the curses domain disappeared, leaving him standing frozen in place as he was put into the domain. Yuji looked around and the empty yet beautiful void they now floated in, he followed his sensei as they approached Jogo before the older man teared his head clean of his body as the domain disappeared.

''Now then, who told you to come after me?'' Gojo asked the head intrigued while Yuji just stared at him with amazement, ''You don't seem like the type to follow orders, so something good was supposed to happen when you did kill me, right?'' the man continued making Jogo scoff, ''Like I'd tell you, brat.'' Before the questioning could continue, something came between the three as the two sorcerers went into a daze. Gojo snapped out of it as another cursed spirit grabbed Jogo's head and ran away while a tree branch took a hold of Yuji's leg and threw him into the air, ''Sensei! Don't worry about me and go after them!'' the teen shouted tracing Soul Splitting Katana and cutting the branch into pieces, ''Hm he got away. He's pretty good in hiding his presence.''

Gojo pulled his blindfold back and turned to his student who landed with a small crater, ''Things are getting interesting.'' The man said grabbing his student and teleporting them back to their hotel room, ''Start backing, we're going back to Japan. Adding to you training with me and watching movies, you're going to go on much harder missions to gain more experience. When I'm done with you, you're going to be able to show off and dominate the Goodwill event.'' Gojo said making his student depressed, ''Can we at least go look at the Cliffs of Moher first?'' he pleaded with his teacher with puppy dog eyes making the man smile, ''Sure sure.'' He answered making the teen jump up in excitement.

Soon a month had passed and Yuji had learned and grown by a lot, he was a completely different person when it came to his fighting prowess. Gojo had left the boys practical combat training to a sorcerer named Kento Nanami, to Yuji the man seemed more like a business man than a jujutsu sorcerer but he really didnt mind, as long as he could learn and get stronger than he was alright with him. The first mission they took together was to investigate an incident that happened in a theater, when they arrived Nanami asked, ''Do you sense the remanence of cursed energy?'' Yuji shook his head, ''Not really but I do see faint footprint scuff marks on the ground and I hear some unusual movements on the rooftop. Too heavy to be human and the walking is too uneven for it to be walking on two legs.'' the teen added.

Nanami was surprised by how sharp the boys ears are, they were about three floors away from the roof and it was raining pretty heavily outside but he was able to hear something so clearly, ''Impressive but a half decent sorcerer would have been able to sense cursed energy remanence before all that.'' The business man commented as they walked up to the roof where they saw two curses, ''I'll take the closest one, you have the other.'' Nanami explained walking towards his cursed spirit pulling out his blunt clever explaining his cursed technique. As soon as the fight started, it ended with Nanami quickly exorcising the cursed spirit leaving Yuji in Awe.

The other curse crept up behind the teen and attacked, before the older man could warn the boy he swiftly dodged and kicked the spirit away, ''Trace on.'' Instead on summoning a sword like usual, Yuji held a bow and arrow, with the quickness of a professional he loaded and shot the arrow straight into the cursed spirit's heart. Seconds later the arrow exploded blowing off the left side of the spirit's chest, ''Good job.'' Nanami said as he looked the cursed spirits over and noticed that they were leaking red blood and they werent disappearing, leading him into a grim realization, ''Itadori... What weve been fighting were human.''

Hours later the two sat in Nanamis office as they got a report about the monsters they fought, like he though they were human before being turned into monsters. The man reassured his student that they were already dead before he killed them so he shouldnt hold their death against him. After calming down, Nanami spoke, ''You're going to go after the only eye witness of the incident, Yoshino Junpei.'' Nodding he went on his way with Kiyotaka to look for the culprit. After finding the boy, Kiyotaka explained how they were going to approach him before he released the low level cursed after him. Yuji seeing someone else with Junpei, ran after the curse catching it, while in the air he noticed that his peer could also see the cursed spirit before he crashed into a post near the other teen.

Standing up and dusting himself off, the sorcerer leaned in close to the witnesss face, ''Hey I got a couple of questions for you.'' ''Now hold on, me and him were just talking.'' the fat man in front of Junpei said as he started blabbing on about how rude he was. Seeing the only logical option, the sorcerer pulled the man's pants down before grabbing Junpei and running away, he tried running after them but Yuji was too fast and they easily lost him. ''Now that's done for, let's go.'' The pink haired teen patted himself on the back as Junpei looked at him, ''You know you didn't have to do that. You could have just dragged me away.'' he explained the opposite route he could have taken.

''True but you hate that guy, don't you?'' Yuji asked tilting his head surprising the non-sorcerer, ''How did you-?'' ''Am I wrong?'' ''No, you're not.'' Junpei said in defeat. The pink haired teen smiled as the two started walking and talking towards a riverbank, Yuji tried contacting Kiyotaka but the man didn't pick up so he decided to question Junpei himself, ''Hey, there were people who died at the theater you went to the other day. Did you see anything strange like this little guy?'' the boy asked showing his peer the cursed spirit that was still in his hand. ''Uh no, I only started seeing those things recently.'' Junpei explained nervous which Yuji rubbed his chin at, ''I see, then theres nothing else I have to ask you then.''

''That easily?'' Junpei asked baffled making the other teen scratch his cheek embarrassed, ''Well we can wait for my boss to come and take over.'' Yuji added to which he nodded to. ''By the way, what were you watching back there?'' the sorcerer asked leading the two to pass the time talking to each other about movies. ''You like movies Itadori?'' Junpei asked, ''Well recently I've been watching a lot of them due to reason but strangely enough I've never been to a theater.'' Yuji explained making his peer look at him in shock, ''Oh how about this, next time you go to a theater call me so I can tag along.'' He added handing over his contact information to the still shocked boy.

Right after that, Junpeis mother called out to the two asking if Yuji was her son's friend, ''We may have just met but I'm pretty sure we can be friends.'' The sorcerer said with a smile, after a few seconds Junpei sighed and talked to his mother about why she was smoking to which she chuckled and put the cigarette out. Yuji's stomach growled catching the mother-son duo's attention, the woman chuckled and invited the boy to dinner which he embarrassedly agreed to. At Junpei's house, the boy joined them for dinner and made some jokes that made the woman laugh as she found them hilarious, her son joining in after some movie-based jokes.

The woman fell asleep on the table after diner and Yuji helped Junpei clean up, while the boy helped him mother to her room, the sorcerer got a call from his teacher and explained the situation before hanging up. After coming back down the two boys sat at the couch and watched a movie, ending the night on a good not. Though the very next day a report came in that had devastating news, Yoshino Junpei's mother had died; Nanami left to investigate leaving Yuji was left clueless as he didn't tell him what happened. Hours later Nanami came back and explained the situation to his student who wanted to go after Junpei, the teacher tried to stop him but the teen didnt listen and tracked Junpei to his school.

He walked around the school until he reached the school gym where he found the boy he was looking for, holding one of his classmates up ready to kill them. This sparked a fight to break out between the two as it raged throughout the building, Yuji mainly defending and using hand to hand so he wouldn't hurt his friend. Yuji caught up to his peer and sent a cursed filled punch, ''Moon Dregs!'' Junpei called out as a jellyfish shikigami wrapped around him taking the blow, the sorcerer noticed that his attack had no damage at all surprising him.

''I already told you Jujutsu Sorcerer, stay out of this! This is none of your business!'' Junpei shouted agitated, ''That's not for you to decide.'' Yuji replied dodging an attack from the shikigami. ''What's the point in, indiscriminate salvation? Don't mistake the value of life.'' The jellyfish managed to get a hold of the sorcerer as it wraps its tentacles around him, ''People pretend that their emotions are everything but their heart are just the metabolism of the soul. It's all a delusion, they'd restrict me with rules based on a delusion. No one has the right to stop anyone from taking what lives they can. Just sleep there, there's something I must do.'' Junpei monologues as he turned around to walk away, ''Who are you making excuses for?'' Yuji asked escaping the shikigamis grasps.

He attacked the jellyfish again, this time sending both of them flying through a window the shikigami lessening the fall damage. ''Why are you getting in my way? Why? Why? Why!?'' Junpei asked attacking Yuji who as midair, the sorcerer spun his body to dodge the attack and landed in front of his peer, ''Junpei I don't understand a damn thing youre saying. You can put together what ever logic you want but you're just trying to convince yourself that your right.'' Yuji said striking Junpei through another window back into the building following along. ''I don't know your motive is or what reason you have for doing this but is it really worth throwing your life away? The human heart is a delusion? Can you say that in front of her?''

''People don't have hearts. They don't. Otherwise..Otherwise that would mean people cursed me and my mom with those hearts. That would be just too much. I wouldnt know what is wrong or what is right anymore.'' Junpei broke down as he sent another attack at the sorcerer who took it head on as it pierced his shoulder, making the crying boy look in horror, ''Why? Why didn't you dodge?'' he asked as his shikigami disappeared. ''Sorry, I said a lot of self-important stuff without understanding anything. Tell me what happened. I swear I won't curse you or your mother so please.'' Yuji pleaded as his peer cried more and explained what happened to his mom and him.

''N-no way. Your mom?'' Yuji asked shakily, after calming down he looked at the boy with determination, ''Junpei, come to Jujutsu tech. There's a lot of crazy strong teachers and reliable friends there, I'm sure together we can find whoever cursed your mom. Let's fight together.'' The sorcerer smiled brightly before it dropped as he turned serious looking behind Junpei, ''Who..Are you?'' he asked as a person with patch work all over his face approached them but his senses and the energy the person emitted told him all he needed.

The person walked down the stairs, his arm changing, ''Nice to meet you sorcerer.'' ''Mahito wait!'' Junpei tried to stop the curse but he attacked, Yuji who was more focused on his peers safety was caught off guard and was slammed against the wall behind them, getting pinned there. ''Junpei, run!'' the sorcerer shouted but the other teen didn't listen and turned to him, ''Itadori calm down. Mahito isn't a bad person.'' Junpei tried to explain but he stopped as he thought of all the things Mahito did and showed him, ''...Bad...Person...'' he repeated his words as Mahito came behind him, ''You're almost as foolish as those people you call fools yourself.'' The curse said with a smile as he put his hand on Junpeis shoulder, as the boy transformed into a short blue monster.

Mahito retracted his hand and pushed Junpei forward, ''Now, time for round two.'' The human now monster attacked Yuji who blocked before putting him in a headlock, ''Junpei, get a hold of yourself!'' Yuji shouted as he restrained his friend. His mind flashed back to how he fixed himself with reverse cursed technique and tried to use it on Junpei to fix him but sadly it didn't work no matter how hard he tried, he just didn't have the talent to use it on others. ''...Y-Yuji...'' The sorcerer froze as he looked down at his friend who had a hold of his shirt crying. Mahito started laughing hysterically as Yuji watched Junpei slump down to the floor, dead.

Yujis cursed energy spiked at a new level surprising Mahito as he took a step back, ''I'm going to kill you.'' The boy said glaring daggers at the curse and started attacking which the curse dodged going up the stairs. When they reached the next floor, Mahito turned his hand into three spiked whips sent them out all around Yuji from all angels. Yuji stood still his eyes darting towards all the whips and took note of their trajectory, ''Trace on.'' The Soul Splitting Katana manifested in the sorcerers hand and in a blink of an eye he used it to cut all the whips into pieces, shocking Mahito but he quickly turned the same hand into a drill and sent it spinning towards the boy but he cut it down the middle with ease.

Before the curse could retract the remainer of his hand, Yuji took a hold of it and didn't let go even when spikes sprouted out and stabbing him through hand. He pulled Mahito toward him as he infused cursed energy into his leg and kicked the curse through the wall besides them to the outside. He followed after him and sent a barrage of slashes at his opponent some landing but other missing, clicking his tongue he stomped hard on the ground causing the dust to built up and causing a smoke screen. Mahito looked around trying to find the young sorcerer but his instincts told him to look up where he saw Yuji midair aiming a bow straight at him.

Mahito dodges to the side, the arrow hitting the ground next to him but before he knew it, it had exploded sending him flying out where he was met with Yuji who now had a war hammer and used it to slam the curse into the ground making a large crater. Following up he stomped Mahitos head further into the ground and jumped back as spikes shot out of the curse's body. The cursed spirit jumped to his feet and turned his hand into a club and attacked Yuji who blocked with his war hammer resulting in it breaking. As he did a follow up attack, Nanami came out of nowhere and blocked it making the curse jump away.

''Nanami?'' Yuji asked confused as to why he was there, ''Not the time. To defeat him we have to team up." Nanami explained to which Yuji nodded and got ready. Mahito turned his arm into a sword and rushed Yuji who dodged his attack giving his teacher an opening to attack but dodged under the swing. The younger sorcerer can from behind and they tried attacking at the same time but Mahito turned himself into a kid making them miss and he ran away creating some distance. He then threw up some transfigured humans and sent them at Yuji who jumped back, splitting up from Nanami who continued fighting Mahito.

Yuji ran to the rooftops of the school and tried his best to avoid killing the once humans, ''....Please...Kill...me..'' one of the monsters managed to say making Yuji look at it with horror before biting his tongue and gripping his katana tight as he quickly cut all the transfigured into pieces. He sighed shakily and looked back to Mahito and Nanami, were he saw that the curse had his teacher pinned against a wall. Launching himself between them he cut Mahitos arm off before kicking him in the face and throwing his weapon at the curse, it exploding which launch him skipping on the ground. Nanami appeared behind the curse making him focus on the older sorcerer giving Yuji the perfect chance of making Playful Cloud and smacking Mahito with it which created another chance for Nanami to hit him in the stomach.

Their onslaught continued like that not giving the curse any chance to retaliate leaving him vulnerable to the attacks, ''Ah what fresh inspiration this is! Is this Death?'' Mahito thought receiving more of the sorcerers attacks, ''I don't have time to create a substitute.. I bet I can do that now'' The curse stood and before the duo could attack again, he opened his mouth revealing two small pair of hands with where both making their own hand signs, ''Domain Expansion: Self-Embodiment of Perfection!'' black hands appeared out of no where and started trying to grab and the duo, managing to get a hold of Nanami who was put into a domain. ''Shit, I'm done for now.'' Nanami took off his sunglasses and looked at Mahito, ''I have no regrets.'' The man smiled ready to face his death.

On the outside Yuji looked at the domain and grew concerned for his teacher, ''Fuck I was hoping to save this for the Goodwill Event but this is an emergency.'' The young sorcerer said to himself before jumping back to build space some space between him and the domain, ''Trace on.'' Yuji chanted as a long red spear appeared in his hand, he grounded his feet and held the spear in a reverse grip pulling it back as a large amount of cursed energy busted out of him and the spear. Grinding his teeth, he threw the spear with all of his strength, ''Gae Bolg!!'' he shouted at the top of his lungs as the spear shot through the air destroying the ground below it. ''Idle Transfiguration.'' Mahito said as hands approached the older sorcerer but he strong cursed energy approaching. Before he could do anything the spear Gae Bolg shot through his domain and pierced right through his chest where his heart was. ''Trigger Off!'' the curse heard Yuji shout as the spear created a large explosion that destroyed the rest of the domain and sent Nanami flying away.

Yuji caught his teacher before he could crash into anything and approached the large crater his attack created and stared down at what he thought was left of Mahitos body. His ears caught something moving far to the side making him snap his head towards the sewer drain where he saw Mahito slipping down past the drain bars, ''Bye bye, it was fun!'' the curse shouted at them as he disappeared. ''Hold it right there!'' Yuji shouted as Nanami hit the drain open and looks through but the curse was already gone. Sighing and shaking his head, the teacher told his student that they should head back and they will have to deal with Mahito another time.

Yuji sat in Nanamis office and slumped in his chair looking at the ceiling thinking about the days events, Gojo walked in and sat down next to the boy both staying silent until the older man spoke, ''Are you doing ok?'' the student glanced at his teacher and slowly shook his head making him sigh. ''The Jujutsu world is a cruel place kid. The pain wont get better in time but you'll get used to it sooner or later''. He ruffled Yujis head, ''You're a strong and unique kid Yuji, don't let his change or sway you away from the path you choose to follow.'' Gojo gave his student a small smile and stood up, ''You'll have tomorrow off so use it to get your stuff together. Though day after tomorrow were resuming training and going on another trip.'' The man continued and walked to the exit. ''...Where are we going this time sensei?'' Yuji asked before the older sorcerer could leave, making Gojo smile more as he heard a hint of excitement from his student, ''Greece.''
