CHAOS IN ZETH

Eve knew that it would not be too long before Ceaser arrived with Crow and the wolves and the thought of the distraction they would cause made her heart ache. She should have listened to Elizabeth when her friend had asked her to think things through but she had been blinded by her selfish emotions. The people who would die on that day; every single death on her hands. Would she be able to live with the guilt of leading so many to their inevitable deaths and slaughter at the hands of beings they believed to be extinct?

"Do you see what I was talking about?" Elizabeth said making Eve snap out of her daze,"If you had thought this through then none of this would be happening."

"I... I'm sorry....I thought it would work and would even benefit our people."

"How will it work out if we are attacked like this?" Elizabeth asked.

"It can still work. We just kill Ceaser."

"The wolves?"

"Maybe it will affect them too."

"We cannot keep relying on your guesses Eve. People will die here if you don't...."

Elizabeth could not finish her statement because of Crow's loud cry that shook even the walls. They looked at each other and and made their way out.The soldiers were running around in panic not knowing what to do. When the commander of the army saw Eve he rushed to her with an aghast expression.

"Princess, our men are falling out. No one was expecting to be up against Crow." he informed her.

"What? What do you mean falling out?" Elizabeth asked surprised then she turned to look at Eve and said,"I had a feeling this would happen sooner or later."

Eve had no strength to reply to Elizabeth and seeing this, the commander left to save himself.

"Why aren't they attacking yet?" Elizabeth asked, more to herself than to Eve.

Crow was just flying overhead to instill fear in the hearts of the soldiers who were supposed to be fighting. Eve started moving towards a heap of bows and arrows and asked the archers to prepare themselves. She had her own special bow and arrow that was infused with magic. Infusing it with her own magic would make it a powerful weapon. She watched it like it might attempt to run off if she looked away while the archers picked up bows and arrows. They made a long line and drew back the bows with loaded arrows. Crow saw that they were preparing to fire at him and he waited until they had even lit their arrows. With one flap of his wings, the flames were extinguished. With another powerful flap, he released metallic feathers that were enough to kill the men even the ones who where hiding behind heavy iron shields.

While Crow was distracted, Eve drew her arrow and infused as much of her power as she possibly could. She aimed for his chest and loose the arrow. He was coming closer to the ground to land when the arrow pierced and went through his right wing. He gave out a loud cry that caused the ears of those who were alive to bleed. Even Ceaser shouted and his shout caused a crack to form on the ground where Eve stood. She toppled over and fell into Elizabeth's arms. The side of Elizabeth's face was smeared in blood from Crow's cry while Eve was unharmed."He's going to kill us." Elizabeth said watching Crow land with a seemingly unharmed wing,"You didn't even leave a scratch."

On Crow's back, Ceaser sat upset and angered. He was willing to not harm anyone so long as Eve surrendered but she had chosen the hard way.of doing things. He got off Crow's back with his no weapon in his hand.

"Crow." Ceaser called out to his friend and Crow just turned slightly to show he was listening,"Cause chaos."

Crow straightened and spread out his wings majestically. He flapped his wings twice and cried like an eagle. He took flight, going up high in the sky only to come back down to fly a meter above the ground, crushing everything in his way. The buildings crumbled and tumbled to the ground. Eve's eyes welled up in tears as she watched the distruction.

Elizabeth stood up straight and used her ability to grow a huge tree ahead of Crow but he evaded it easily. She started using vines to try and tie him down and it worked for a little while."Eve! Do something!" Elizabeth shouted.

Eve looked down at her hands and looked at the crack beneath her with fear. She looked at Ceaser who stood far from her and then she looked her bow and arrow. She picked it up and materialized an arrow in her hands. Her eyes started glowing as she stood up and aimed at Ceaser. He made no effort to move and he waited patiently for her to loose the arrow. Eve closed her eyes for a moment whilst Ceaser started to walk closer to her.

He was walking slowly and felt her anger increasing. He smiled to himself but when he took his tenth step she disappeared. He stopped walking and looked around him and she appeared behind him, ready to stab him with the arrow. She managed to drive the arrow through his side but was pushed away by the disoriented lycans, still merged.

She was pushed down with incredible force that her chest started hurting and she started bleeding. She was happy when she saw Elizabeth's vines wrap around the feral creature. The joy was short lived as the wolf finally separated into the nine remaining lycan brothers. Lucan remained holding her down and to her surprise, he was a black wolf unlike the others that were a bloodied white.

He bared his teeth at her and was about to bite her when Ceaser touched the wolf's head and Lucan stopped.

"It would be a shame to let her die so easily, don't you think? Won't it be nice to see her suffer?" The wolf howled in agreement and moved away before running to attack the men that remained alive.

'Sire!' Crow shouted in Ceaser's mind.

Ceaser looked up from Eve lying on the ground and was surprised to feel a thorny vine drive through his abdomen. Eve also took the opportunity and materialized another arrow in her hand and drove it through his thigh.

Ceaser did not even make a sound but Crow and the Lycans did. Eve was celebrating in her heart at the the early victory but she heard him start to chuckle.

"Did you truly think....that you...have won..." he stopped and coughed up some blood,"You are terribly....wrong..."

Before Eve could say anything, Gray came and dragged her away from him so she wouldn't do something else. He had bitten into her arm and she was screaming as he mercilessly dragged her away. Elizabeth could not do anything as Crow had taken her up in his mouth and into the sky. Another wolf attempted to take hold of Eve after Gray had let her go and on reflex she tried to protect herself. She used her hair to wrap the wolf tightly and held it in place while she Materialized a sword and drove it through his throat. The other wolves felt the pain and howled in anger and sorrow.

Ceaser, who was already in pain, nearly lost consciousness. A few seconds later they felt pain once again as another wolf had been killed by the soldiers who were led there by Napoleon.

Eve was happy to see her father there and she was going to call out to him when one of Crow's feather's split him in half at the waist. She froze and the world around her narrowed down. Her tears fell without her permission and without noticing, she was chained up next to Elizabeth who was equally traumatized. In just a few minutes Zeth, a kingdom that had taken years to build was brought down to the ground like it had never existed.

Her father was dead, murdered in front of her by her uncle and possibly her greatest enemy. Eve turned her head to look at her friend and saw how her friend was bleeding. Her heart squeezed in her chest as she looked at Elizabeth but her friend did not turn to look at her. They were made to stand and the other ends of the chains were connected to Crow who was carrying Ceaser. When Crow took of to the sky, he only went high enough so that their hands would be above their heads.

"They will follow like dogs." Lucan said with gritted teeth.

Crow started to fly forward and towards Dreg. Eve knew it would be a long and painful journey. Her arm that had been bitten had flesh practically hanging from the bones. The armour she and Elizabeth were wearing seemed scrapped and the metal hurt them everytime they moved.

"The sire has said we should stay and take hold of the new slaves; to tell them they are under new leadership." Gray said to Lucan and Pascal.

Lucan took one last look at Eve with hate and sadness.
