king sat on his seat, his mind only focused on the girl that was just brought to him. Ashley, Ashley Brown. He felt her resist him, and even successfully managed to push him out of her head. She had potential and it was clear that she was just like him, a psychic.
His interest for her grew even more with every thought that crossed mind. Even though he wasn't really trying to push back at her resistance, it was a feat a grade one Advocate could rarely pull, talk less about a clueless individual. The girl definitely held some promising talent in her but her brother was the exact opposite of what she was, he didn't feel any sort of power coming from him, he was completely normal just any other human being around that hadn't been baptized and graced with a gift. He didn't know why this was so, but he was sure something was off. He didn't want to conclude on anything yet, maybe his gifts hadn't started manifesting or maybe he had made a mistake.
'No' there was no way that he could have made a mistake. He was very sure that he read every corner of the boys mind and found no trace of supernatural abilities within him.
"Its the girl isn't it?" The lady in black asked after noticing the psychic in his lost state. They had all seen what happened and could tell immediately that she had managed to break out of king's mind reading. She was Monica, the third member of the grade one Advocates and her ability was enchantment
Everyone whom she gazed upon with her naked eyes was bound to fall under her spell which was why she had her glasses on since this power had no way of being controlled.
She walked up to king and from her glasses peered down on the overthinking man who clearly had not heard a word she said.
"King!" She almost screamed, finally getting the lost man's attention.
"What were you thinking?" She asked.
"Nothing" King replied, doing his best to keep his eyes off her. Everyone knew they had something for each other but the rules of the Advocate prevented their relationship from ever coming to reality. They were part of the five Advocates and they were directly below the leader and his assistant. They couldn't be found breaking the rules. It was believed that Monica had used her powers on him without him realizing but everyone knew that was just stories made up by first graders just to quench their thirst for juicy secrets.
"Its the girl isn't it?" She repeated clearly reading through his lies. She could tell he had developed some sort of interest in her and so had she, infact everyone in the room did. They had seen her break out king's mind reading and everyone wanted a someone with potential to be their student.
They had all forgotten totally they were actually two individuals in the room before and for some reason, the boy appeared rather uninteresting. They knew that if he had some hidden talent, then king would be all over the place with him doing his best to take him under his wings but her he was, pondering over something none of them knew of.
"No," King finally replied honestly." It's the boy"

Justin listened to all Charles had said and he couldn't believe the amount of bloodshed that was tied to his family. Everything now made sense and he was beginning to understand a lot more about the two societies than he had actually believed he could. One thing he couldn't really wrap his head around was the fact that they were baptised in his grandfather's blood. He couldn't believe that his grandfather who used to be so loving and caring when he was alive was actually the leader of a powerful group and had bathed his grand children in his own blood not to even talk about taking his own life. His family was seriously messed up.
Ashley just stood, some part of her listening to Charles while the other half was completely lost. For some reason, she kept hearing voices in her head, sometimes even hearing Charles before he spoke. Something was wrong with her head and it had something to do with what happened earlier. She didn't know what that man had done to her head but it had triggered some kind of weird sensations in her brain. She was hearing voices in her head and sometimes, these voices were so loud that it hurt but she endured it not wanting to cause to a scene or anything. Something was wrong with her and she knew it.
"Ashley, Ashley!" Justin yelled out her name only managing to call her back to reality with his last shout.
Ashley jolted back to reality, only realizing that she had been lost in her head or probably another person's head. She couldn't explain what was happening to her but she had definitely heard about her family's legacy. She was literally at two places at once, hearing Charles and at the same time, also wandering away in the voices she heard inside her head trying to pinpoint where it came from but she had realized it wasn't from one source. These were the thoughts of the few people around them and maybe some of the people who were a bit farther away.
She turned to her brother who had been calling her and raised an eyebrow, her expression asking him what he wanted.
"Are you okay?" Justin asked the troubled girl who also turned to Charles and met him staring at her in the same manner her brother did.
"I'm fine" she lied, but she had instantly fallen to her knees, holding her head in pain . Something was coming, or someone. Their thoughts were filled with pure evil and was definitely louder than anything she had been hearing before. The voice in her head promised suffering, pain and death on all Advocates and she was almost certainly sure, the owners of these thought was here.
