"Do you think you can just do as you please with me?" Zhavia stepped forward making all the maids by the side tremble in fear. She was still in his pajamas and wasn't wearing anything on her feet except the socks he wore her because of how cold his Chambers were.
"Do you think you can keep me in your home for as long as you want?" Her voice was now raised. She was pissed, she wasn't trying to control it anymore. Her sense of reasoning was nowhere to be found. She didn't even think of the person she was standing before. All she wanted to do was release the anger she felt.
"Who the hell do you think you are?" It was all in her eyes. Murder, anger, desperation, madness.
And just as those words left her mouth, the dark man was on his feet. His steps were swift. His actions left everyone numb. Every single person in that room shivered. The massacre had begun. He was challenged, he was dared, he was tempted.
In the blink of an eye, he was in front of her. She was in his shadows. She was left breathless by his action but she still stood her ground. His eyes drank her soul as she turned white. As his palm covered her wrist, all she could feel was the pull.
She found herself walking at a certain pace behind him. It was far from walking. He took her unaware. She couldn't believe what just happened. She couldn't do anything. Her struggles were all in vain as he pulled her. All she could do was try to keep up with his pace as he kept walking into different doors that made her head spin.
No one, but no one had ever made her this weak and vulnerable. No one had the guts to. Who the hell is this man and how could he have such power over her?
She watched the last door open as he pulled her in and placed her on the single sofa. His breath was ranged. She could tell that he was furious. He turned his back on her as he ran his hands through his hair and fought for control. His back was all she saw. She felt the shivers in her spin, that icy feeling.
Her heart was racing profusely. She was still trying to catch her breath. She was still going to speak up. She was somehow terrified by his actions earlier but she still had to figure out how to leave.
She was about to open her mouth before his voice swept away the last ounce of boldness she had. It was deep, low, and had an etching of a growl.
"Why do you want to make things difficult for yourself?" Nicholas turned around as he spoke. His eyes went down to hers. When she walked into the room in his pajamas, she took him unaware. It left him struggling for breath. How so well it fitted her and how she had his scent all over her body gave him a churning in his lower abdomen.
She was still sitting on the seat he placed her on. The way she sat and the pose she was in, gave him another stroke of lightning in his abdomen.
He wanted to unleash into one of his devour modes, he wanted to yell, he wanted to punish her a little for daring him in that tone and manner, but seeing her right now in his clothes, in his house, how perfectly she fitted in his home, he couldn't do it. The anger he felt turned to bubbles. The heat turned to ice.
For fuck's sake does she know what she does to him?
"You cannot keep me here anymore, I will not stay, I refuse to be kept here any longer". She sounded like she was bargaining. What his eyes were doing to her at the moment was making her lose herself. The eyes of the dark man did not leave hers for one second. She was trapped.
"Then do you perhaps agree to my request?" He saw her surrender, it was just at the edge. Desperation was boldly written in her eyes. It was evident.
"I will leave this place today and that's final". Zhavia's eyes were still on him.
"And how do you intend to do that? Huh? Tell me?" This question had zhavia raising her left brow wondering what he meant but before she could open her mouth. "I bet you don't even know where you are right now".
"You are in the center of my mansion that is occupying approximately 5 hectares of land, In the center of my island that occupies over 20 hectares of land in the center of a country that occupies over 200 million hectares of land" His pride was evident. He is after all the wealthiest on the planet. "So tell me, how do you intend to leave?"
She knew she couldn't argue about that. This man already had her where he wanted her. His pride filled the entire room. She didn't know where this conversation was heading but she had already made up her mind that no matter what goes down, she was going to walk out of this mansion.
"I will never be your property and your object of slavery". And as those words left her lips, the monster took over. The possessive mode was activated. His eyes became dimmer. All she felt was his grip on her arm as he lowered himself to meet her gaze.
"My goddess is no slave, and the day you realize this, I will make you mine". He growled. His voice was different and he didn't even realize that. "I dare you to call yourself that one more time". He commanded. He was grim. She had never seen this part of him before.
She didn't dare speak. His hands were still on her and all she could feel at the moment was him. His scent filled her nostrils— that glorious scent that drove her mad. He was right in front of her and all the anger was forgotten.
My man. All mine.
Her thoughts scared her. How her mind was already claiming him made her scared. Her mind was her only source of rejection. She knew her body was the weakest part of her and it was no match for his power but her mind always fought to keep her on track.
Right now her mind was accepting him. He was all in her head. His possession drove her insane. The name he called her rang in her head.
My goddess.
And at that moment, she saw it all. She saw a side of him that she had always longed for in a man. She saw the power, the attitude, the potential, the arrogance, the masculinity, and his superiority. She saw Nicholas Alviero Ross in all his glory. Not only was she yearning for him, her everything was calling for him.
He was far from calm right now. How could his goddess be a slave? How would she even consider herself a slave when she was with him? Does she know what she could command? Does she know the power possesses? His empress is not a slave, she is the owner of his entire being and his empires. How dare she degrade herself to the level of a slave?
She felt his grip on her slowly loosen as he stepped away from her and exited the room.
She was still trying to process what just happened. Why the hell did he react like that? She was terrified, he scared the hell out of her. He got this way when she called herself his slave.
She knows exactly what he wanted from her. She couldn't believe how her life turned out like this. How the hell did she even get attached to Nicholas? For the records, she had been living a very quiet and peaceful life without any man. She didn't even think that she would ever feel this way over a man.
She is zhavia McKay. She is one of the most respected and powerful women in the world. She had never cowered under any man before. No man had ever made her speechless and ordered her before. How the hell is she always dumb in front of him?
Zhavia managed to find her way to her feet as she started walking toward the door. Just as she approached the door, it slid open and Bennett was in front of her with his hands crossed forward. He nodded his head in greeting.
"I've been asked by my master to take you to your chambers. I'm at your service young miss". Bennett spoke politely.
She was too in her head to argue as she followed Bennett and allowed him to lead her out of the room.
Different doors were open. She didn't even know where he was leading her until they got to a hallway and walked to the elevator at the far end of the hall.
Bennett walked quietly beside her. What he had encountered still gave him goosebumps. He didn't believe that the woman beside him had the nerve to challenge the almighty Nicholas Alviero Ross.
It was indeed a rare sight to see.
