Chapter 7 A demon

The dark man sat alone. He was still stiff. She had been on his mind ever since he set his eyes on her a few years back. He had waited. He was patient, he was waiting for the right moment to strike. She had stolen his focus and his attention, and in the twinkling of an eye, she was nowhere to be found for years.

Nicholas stood up and walked to the table just close to the balcony. He certainly isn't going to let her out of his sight again. She must be his, and he had to find a way to do so. There was a knock on the door. It was Bennett again.

"You always have a way to get me hyped, Bennett". Nicholas spoke slowly. He was bothered and Bennett saw.

"May I ask what bothers my master?" Bennett spoke in a very calm tone as Nicholas's eyes trapped his breath. They were dark.

"Careful what you ask for Bennett, it may bring doom to you". Nicholas said walking towards his seat as he sat. "We can't breathe of the same air Bennett, get yours or never breath again". His deep voice echoed.

"A message came from your mother, sir". Bennett said as he bowed his head waiting for a response. He looked straight at Bennett. There were no expressions, but he wasn't in one of his best moods. He was thinking of putting an end to the poor butler's misery if he had said something unworthy and now this news? His nemesis surely does know when to strike. He frowned.

"Deliver it". Was the only thing he said. Bennett nodded, for a moment there, he thought that he was going to be beheaded.

"Tomorrow is the day you were born and......" Before Bennett could utter another word, Nicholas stood in anger as Bennett's feet no longer touched the floor. With both hands gripping his suit, the old man cried out in pain.

"Another word Bennett, and you will not possess this body any longer". Bennett begged and pleaded with his last breath as he crushed on the floor hard. He knelt down in fear, trembling before the furious beast. Nicholas's hands were fisted as he released them and arranged his black shirt. He stood in power, relaxing his tensed muscles as he moved his head from side to side.

"Now you go back to her, and tell her that I, Nicholas Alviero Ross, will never see her face ever again". He walked out in anger, leaving Bennett still kneeling as he deserted the room. The old man struggled to regain his breath as bodyguards helped him up. He stood, still holding his neck. 'His mother has created a demon unknown to her because of her selfish desires' Bennett thought. He was such a sweet child before the death of Mr. Johnathan Ross.

JOHNATHAN ALVIERO ROSS - Father of Nicholas Ross. (A.k.a, CEO of the Ross empire).

Bennett thought of how he will report the message back to Nicholas's mother. She is also a very stubborn woman. If Nicholas could almost behead him, then his mother would possibly turn him into a skull. He trembled.
