Chapter 45 lies

Meredith looked relaxed. She was impressed by what she saw. Her son is indeed the most stylish person she has ever seen. Every single thing in that house cost a fortune. She looked at the long silver vase in the corner of the room. She recognized that one. It is a priceless vase crafted by one of the greatest legends of all time.

Her little devil really is a true blood of the Ross. Class runs in their blood. Even royalties cannot be compared to his style. She really did a good job giving him the best training. Even if she wasn't there when he was growing up, she did leave him with the best nannies.

Tiger and Klaus still sat in the other room that Meredith had just recently evaded. They know that this whole thing isn't going to work out. Meredith and Nicholas can never be in this same house, not in this universe. They sat down waiting for him as they thought of the possible outcome of this unexpected visit.

Genevieve just followed Meredith back to back. Of course, the spoilt brat is present. From the few times they've seen her, they weren't really a fan of hers.

The elevator door opened to the large room that held Meredith as the dark man stepped out from it. He was angry. Heads were bent as they noticed his presence. The dark man had joined them, in flesh and blood. Normally, he gives orders from the house but as usual unexpected things happen. Meredith arrived unannounced.

She comes into his life and decides to be his mum after a long while of denying that position in his life. All she ever do is please the people she wants to please and lie to him while pleasing them. He is tired of her constant manipulations and deceit.

They both watch him enter the room as Genevieve seized to breathe. Nicholas was right in front of her. She didn't know how to feel or react. She didn't think he was going to come out of his room after Meredith sent for him. She felt the ice and the shivers of his presence.

"Why are you here?" His eyes captured Meredith. His voice filled the room, his scent also filled the room. Even if he wasn't talking to her, she could hear the anger in his tone. Something was wrong with him. Something she couldn't quite understand.

"Can't a mother visit her own blood?" Her mind games are impeccable, her mind is completely set on making things right with her baby. She isn't getting any younger even if her looks say otherwise. For the first time in her life, she needed her family. She knows that he hates her but who would blame him?

She had been a terrible mother to him. She was never reliable and present. Everything she's done all flashed Before her eyes like a movie as regret clouded her.

"Not you Meredith, drop the act". His words were cold and plain. He doesn't beat around the bush and that just makes him the most honest person alive.

His thoughts can never be hidden.

He is the dark man.
