He saw the look in her eyes, the way she looked at him. It was clear that she did feel the same. Even if she didn't say it, It was evident that she felt something for him. He could tell from her actions. She was good at hiding her feelings but not good enough because he could see right through her.
He ran his hands through his hair as he walked back and forth. He was confused and frustrated all at once. He didn't even know how things took that turn but immediately after he saw the disinterest in her voice, he was disappointed. When he asked her to dine with him, he was excited. For the first time in his life, he was determined to please a woman. He was determined to take the next step in this relationship. He wanted to get to know her more, that would have been a very big step.
He was very uneasy at the moment. His steps were swift as he walked to the balcony at the far end of the large room. Immediately the wind hit him, he closed his eyes. Nothing was going to calm him down at the moment because she was all he needed to calm down. She clouded and caused a storm in his head, and at this point, he couldn't even think straight. She was his entire thought.
He rested his hand on the edge of the iron ray and the sudden urge to bite his lips hit him. It was a reflex action. He never bites his lips if he wasn't stressed about something, he only bites his lips when something was eating him up. Zhavia McKay was eating him up slowly. She was draining him senseless.
How could a woman make him lose himself? Make him lose control as if his emotions were just at the tips of her fingers?
He was pissed at himself for not seeing the signs quickly. She wasn't interested in eating with him and he just made her do it for his own selfish interest. How could he have been so blinded by his selfishness? He cursed under his breath as he remembered her words.
'you didn't really give me a choice'
He let out a sound of frustration and stomped his feet on the floor with anger. He had never been so pissed at himself in his entire life the way he was right now. He didn't even know how to release the rage he felt at the moment. He just wanted to forget everything that happened, he wanted to forget the look on her face when she tried to convince him when she begged. He hated himself for making her plead.
Damn it, Nicholas.

Her head was spinning. She didn't know what to do. She couldn't eat breakfast because of what happened with Nicholas. All she wanted to do was talk to Sofia and that was it. She couldn't even wrap her head around how and why things went down the way they did. She could've just eaten with him without any shady words.
She managed to walk to her bed with her hand on the right side of her temple as she closed her eyes. She couldn't even process what was going on with her body. She had just been weak and extraordinarily dizzy and lazy for the past few days now. Her body system had not been normal as it used to be.
She tried to stand up but she couldn't. Her eyes roamed around the room in search of the emergency button but she couldn't find it. She felt her consciousness slipping away slowly as she managed to stand up. Her steps were not stable, her breath was hanging and she managed to breathe.
She just kept walking until she was in the direction of the door. She opened it with the last energy she had as she fought to walk in the direction of the elevator. She needed him. She saw herself dying. Her hands and her entire body vibrated nonstop as she pushed herself towards the elevator, trying her best to stay awake.
Before she knew it, she was in front of the elevator door. She managed to press the button to the last floor. Her consciousness was just at the corner, her body had given up on her, and her heart raced nonstop. As the elevator went higher, the dizziness she felt was now worse. She was not even able to see a single thing accurately. Her legs were getting weaker by the second. The elevator door opened and the cold freezing breeze hit her. She couldn't breathe anymore. It was as if her life was just at the corner.
At this moment, all she saw was him. All she saw was Nicholas. She couldn't help it, she needed him, she wanted him now. She couldn't open her mouth to speak. It was as if she would take up the energy she was using to get to him.
Her legs were giving up on her, she couldn't see clearly anymore, and her vision was getting blurred. She knew she was on the verge of passing out. She just wanted to get to him first before she finally give up. She didn't even know what she was thinking at the moment but all she needed was him.
As she approached the large door that held the dark man, she tried to hit the door with the only strength left in her. She couldn't speak, she call out his name. How was he going to help her now? How was he going to come to her aid? Was this the end for her? She tried to lift her hand again to hit the door but realized that she wasn't even close to it at all. She was still at the center of the extremely freezing cold hall. She gritted her teeth as a result of the cold, it was a reflex action.
She was helpless at this moment. She felt the tear fall down her left cheek as its warmth was replaced with cold after a second. She moved her feet which were kind of stuck because she couldn't move them. She was on the verge of giving up when the door opened to her automatically as she approached it. Her brain screamed his name but she couldn't speak.
His scent filled the entire room. It engulfed her.
Where is he?
Nicholas.

He couldn't stop thinking about her. He could only control himself when he was not around her but to stop thinking about her would be impossible. His heart raced in his chest.
Relax Nick, you got this.
Just stay away from her for a while.
He ran his hand in his hair again as he started walking back inside his room only to find her at the door. His heart stopped. His breath hanged. Her presence shook his entire body system because she took him unaware. He just stood in a position and couldn't move.
His eyes didn't leave her. She was there. It was real. It was really happening. Zhavia came to his room on her own.
He was confused. Zhavia would never do that even if there was a zombie apocalypse outside. She'd rather die than come to him willingly. Had she finally decided to cooperate? Had she come here because she was feeling guilty for the incident that happened earlier?— It wasn't her fault, was she blaming herself? Who was he kidding? Zhavia would never do that even if she was asleep.
He looked at her and there was something off about her. She wasn't looking good at all. She wasn't looking like her normal self. She was Looking different and it triggered something in him. Slowly, he walked toward her. His eyes were dim. It was talking a lot for him to do this. This is a woman that has him under her control, so whatever she did was going to take him to the edge. It was that serious.
He was now standing in front of her. His hands twitched to touch her, to hold her in his arms, to feel her and apologize. He never apologizes, he never begged, but he was willing to do anything for this woman in front of him.
Just as he was about to open his mouth to speak, she was in his arms. He felt her body on him. She was weak on him. He stiffened at her action but she was slipping away from his body as he tried to hold her from falling.
He was right.
Something was actually wrong.
"Zhavia?" He called her name as he reached for her body and gripped her tightly in a way that she could stand up straight, but she was too weak to do so. He wondered what had happened to her. His heart raced as he thought of the worst. Her hands strolled to his face as she tried to see if it was him but her eyes were too blurry to recognize him. The only thing she recognized was his scent.
"Come here".
