13 THE HEAVY CROWN OF THE CROWN PRINCESS

People immediately shouted with joy after Princess Elennora finished taking the oath. Even if there was a slight hesitation when he was about to utter the words, Elennora looked very confident and sincere when he finally took the oath.

He only thought about his people, and everything that came out of his lips was a reflection of the people's meaning in his heart.

The oath sounded perfect to people's ears, but the King and the High Priestess noticed the strange words in the oath. They both knew one sentence uttered by Elennora was not in the original script.

[I, Princess Elennora of Grinia, will take the royal title of Crown Princess solely for the sake of my people.]

That one sentence was not in the original oath, and even if the King's secretary had modified the oath to suit the Crown Princess, they knew that sentence was not included.

It was Elennora who added those words to his oath.

The High Priestess also noticed the difference, and she glanced at the King as if asking the King for his opinion. If the King could not accept the oath, then Elennora would have to repeat the oath.

However, King Gerold only nodded his head to show his approval. Even the people had shouted loudly to show their acceptance, so the King had no choice but to accept as well.

He knew not many people cared about the oath his son had sworn, and seeing how his son was acting so obediently and following his guidance was enough for him. At least, Elennora didn't cause any trouble today.

"The Moon God has chosen the Crown Princess, the people have accepted the Moon God's choice, and the chosen one has accepted her destiny. From today onwards, Elennora Nenadovic will be the Crown Princess of Grinia," the High Priestess finally announced, causing the crowd to scream with joy once again.

Grinia finally had their first Crown Princess, and people believed that the golden era of Grinia was coming to them soon.

It was true that King Gerold was the best king by far, but if they could get a better ruler for a better future, then they would happily welcome the kingdom's first Queen.

Elennora no longer had the title of 'Princess,' and ae was now the kingdom's 'Crown Princess.' The title was reinforced when the King of Grinia placed the crown of the Crown Princess on his son's head.

"You did a good job, and I hope you will continue to do a good job as Crown Princess of Grinia," King Gerold smiled after he finished placing the Crown Princess crown on Elennora's head.

Elennora didn't say anything in response to the King's words, and instead, he carefully felt the crown on his head.

The Crown Princess' crown was indeed different from the Princess' crown. The Princess' crown was a bit small, but the Crown Princess' crown was larger and heavier.

However, Crown Princess Elennora felt a strange weight from the crown. It felt like he had a boulder instead of a beautiful crown on his head.

Perhaps he also felt heavy in his heart. He had lied to his people today, and it had given him a strange weight on his head, causing him to feel dizzy, and his hands itchy to remove the crown.

Unfortunately, King Gerold didn't seem to notice his expression as he immediately turned around and spoke to the crowd again.

"Today is a good day for Grinia, and as such, the palace will deliver delicious food to all people in Grinia! We will have a party until midnight!" King Gerold announced, and the crowd went wild when they heard the word 'party.'

Party meant free food, and of course, people would love to get free delicious food to fill their bellies.

After making the announcement, King Gerold ended the ceremony before heading to the Kings of the other kingdoms again. The kings congratulated him, and he greeted all the kind words with a big smile on his face.

"King Gerold is really lucky. He has two beautiful Princesses, and one of them has become the Crown Princess now," King Ludwig of the kingdom of Slovia spoke with jealousy in his voice.

King Gerold laughed when he heard those words, but before he could reply, another king interrupted, "Not only beautiful, but the Crown Princess was also chosen by their God. It must be a blessing to Grinia."

The person who had just spoken was King Jarnich from the kingdom of Terian.

Hearing another praise from another King, King Gerold laughed again. But when he accidentally glimpsed at the Crown Princess who was still standing alone on the balcony, King Gerold's smile disappeared.

The Crown Princess looked pale, and he didn't even move an inch from his spot.

"I don't think your daughter is in good shape, King Gerold."

Someone spoke again, and when King Gerold turned his head to the side, he found King Alvon of Wrelloven looking at the Crown Princess with concern.

King Alvon was like King Gerold's closest friend among the other Kings. Wrelloven was the neighboring kingdom of Grinia, and as such, the two kingdoms had close ties to each other.

Sometimes King Alvon visited Grinia, and sometimes King Gerold visited Wrelloven. In the end, the two Kings became familiar with each other.

"You are right, King Alvon," King Gerold spoke to the King before turning to the other Kings. "I'd like to ask the Kings to enjoy the feast without me first. I'll be right back."

King Gerold smiled at the other Kings before turning around and walking towards the pink-haired Crown Princess. Stopping in front of the Crown Princess, King Gerold carefully placed his hand on the Crown Princess' shoulder.

"Are you all right, Elen?" He asked his son carefully.

Crown Princess Elennora finally raised his head before replying, "I'm not alright, Your Majesty. My head is so dizzy now that I've just committed a sin. I'm not the Crown Princess of Grinia, but I am a villain of this kingdom, Your Majesty."
