When King Gerold finally returned to the room where he would be staying with his wife, he couldn't feel the bones in his legs. Closing the door behind him, he stared blankly at his wife who was sitting on the edge of the bed in her silk nightgown.

It seemed that Queen Richenza had just finished removing the makeup on her face, but instead of immediately laying her body on the bed to drift off to dreamland, she hastily walked over to her husband and asked a few questions, "What is it, Your Majesty? How was the conversation with Crown Prince Levan? Is he really in love with Elennora?"
