the bad news

It won't take a long time before Catherine is waking up from her brief sleep. Her phone is ringing continuously which shows her mother number.

She understands about her mother wishes to get her home straight away, so she did not answer her phone.

All his service last night was superb, and Catherine feel so shy to remember her wild night. She is gathering all her clothes and cleaning up in the bathroom while he is still sleeping on the bed.

She did not dare to wake him up and make sure to go out really quietly. She did not forget to leave all her cash on the table for the service paid for the night.

Catherine leaves the room and goes to the receptionist to pay for the room when the receptionist is quite confused. The receptionist only can tell her that the room already has been paid up. This is the first time for them to see someone want to pay for the room for the Crown prince.

They did not dare and refuse the payment to avoid any mistakes in the future. It can be a bribe to the royal family.

Catherine leaves the hotel lobby with a heavy step and her body feeling sore all over. She will catch up sleep in her own room.

She sits on the taxi to her residence to meet up with her parent. The morning breeze refreshes her mind, and she is requesting the taxi driver to stop into her favourite café to pick up some coffee.

In Catherine parents mansion earlier in the morning, the house catches fire. Her parent was sleeping, and they are getting burnt to their death.

The earlier phone was the police who managed to find her mother belonging in the car park outside the garage.

They are contacting their family member and trying to inform them about the deceased body in the central hospital in the C city.

The forensic team finds out about the case which started with the cut of gas pipe in the kitchen. Someone tries to kill this couple and they are succeeded. However, there is no proof or evidence about the main culprit.

This case will be deemed as a cold case because of the lack of evidence of their death. The forensic team feel pity for the family of the deceased.

Catherine is going to stop at the pharmacy for getting the morning pills. They were doing unprotected sex last night. As a medical practitioner, she has knowledge about unprotected sex when her phone rang again.

"Yes, mother. I am coming home now," Catherine decides to answer the phone in the back of the taxi after picking up her coffee.

"Is this Ms Gu speaking?" the police officer is speaking on the side of the phone using Catherine's mother phone.

"Yes. Who is this? Why are you using my mother phone?" Catherine is asking the guy who is on her mother phone.

"I am officer Wei. Your parent is having an accident early this morning and their body is in the central hospital. If you can come to get them identifies and get your DNA matches with them," Officer Wei is informing her about the whole point to contact the family member.

Catherine body shakes tremendously, and she is agreeing to the police officer request to go to the hospital.

She is informing the taxi driver to go to the hospital straight away without any delay. She really can't think about anything except her parent's condition.

It means her parent already dead because the police officer is informing her to identify their body. Catherine hopes for a miracle.

Her heart wrenched with pain and her mind clouded with all the worst possibilities for her parent condition.

She is arriving in the hospital and is rushed to go and meet with officer Wei. He is waiting for her in front of the hospital emergency room.

"Officer Wei, am I correct?" Catherine hastily comes forward to the group of police officers in the hospital.

"I am indeed officer Wei. Are you Ms Gu?" Officer Wei is shaking her hand to introduce himself to Catherine.

"Yes, I am. Where is my parent? How is their condition?" Catherine still in shock about the news asked impatiently to the officer.

"Follow me," officer Wei is leading the way to the morgue room when Catherine's feet give up with her mind. She is flopping down to the ground with wailing eyes.

The reality of her parent lay down on the cold table of the morgue room hit her face really hard. She still can't accept the sudden news of her parents departure from this world.
