In the end, Mineah's wants won out as she and Nikolai found themselves making their way through the nearby public market to buy the fabled sweets that she was badly craving. It took a bit of convincing to make her husband go with her plan, but it would all be worth it in the end, she was sure.

That was, so long as their disguises lasted.

"I still think I couldn't just make something for you in the cabin," Nikolai sighed in as they both walked through the streets with their flimsy disguises. "We didn't have to go out here in the middle of the night just for a bit of sweets."

"But where's the fun in that?" she pouted. "Besides, it's much better for us to see the sights around us, and that's on top of supporting the local business here."
