“You’re hiding something from me.”
Catrina sighed. “I am, but I’ll get to it in a minute. Be patient. You will know what it is soon enough.”
“Okay.”
Then Catrina abruptly inhaled deeply, and her eyes glowed bluish, and it reminded Benjamin of the fire on a stove. “He was here earlier, wasn’t he?”
Benjamin intentionally picked up the teapot to refill his and Catrina’s teacups. “Who?”
“Eric.”
Benjamin felt both nervous and shy all of a sudden. “Yeah.”
“He’s human, but his yang energy is incredibly powerful,” Catrina pointed out while glancing all over the diner. “I can detect traces of his energy everywhere. Very impressive.”
“I think so, too,” Benjamin agreed before lifting the teacup closer to his mouth and pressed it gently against his lips before gulping down the entirety of its content. “Why are we talking about Eric, though?”
“I had a meeting with Persephone a few hours ago.”
“About what?”
