Professor Milles, a certified genius and creator of the current magic system. Misha Raycraft, the 11 years old adopted magic-less son of the president. What do they both have in common? They are the same person. As a genius, professor Milles created the neural system, the origin of all magic which made the world reliant on it. It came as a blessing but professor Milles knew the truth - it was a curse that would doom everyone. To prevent this, he decided to travel in the future and look for a way to destroy the Neural system once the world was stable enough. Now, as Misha Raycraft, the 11 years old adopted magic-less Type Null adopted son of the president, he had a duty to carry out his mission. But before he could, he is stopped by a vision of world destruction and a legacy to prevent it. Now embedded with unimaginable magic powers, it is in the hand of Misha Raycraft to save the world from that destruction while hiding away his magic all the while. However, the task would become even more difficult as time passes on and more and more people begin getting involved in the salvation of the world. He would do it all, even if he had to become a Villian in the process. However, to do this he would need allies in this new period. Especially those who could help him out. But personal relationships of other people, namely - Xion and her harem of power female magicians hailed to have the best potential might hinder Milles and his journey. (Both the harem and Yuri are in the background for now and not with the MC but they will become very important elements in the future.)

The first look at Magic

The magic from the neural system made Milles feel sick but it was a part of him now. He could not get rid of it even if he tried.

"Are you ready for the academy? I have informed your teachers about your unique situation so you need not worry" secretary Sha explained as the car pulled up into to driveway of the academy.

Milles could feel the overflowing magic coming out of the place and it made him sick. The magic was heavy and had too much static for his liking.

"So they know I cannot use magic?" Milles asked, not liking the fact that the teachers had been made aware of his weakness.

"The current curriculum at the academy required one to be able to use magic but since you cannot use any, it was best to inform them and take you out of those classes. Instead, you will be studying technical advancements and uses" secretary Sha clarified.

She likely thought that Milles had taken offense at her words but Milles had just been making an observation.

The suited lady got out of the car before it had properly stopped and then opened Mille's gate.

As soon as he stepped out of the car, he could feel eyes on his person. The kids in the vicinity were looking at him and judging him. He was a new face and his inclusion here was a big deal after all.

He silently followed the secretary Sha as she led him inside. The feeling of eyes on his person did not vanish at all.

The eyes finally vanished once they entered the office area but new eyes were looking at him now.

"I am here for an appointment with the principal. Mr. Presidetn send me here" secretary Sha did not waste any time in establishing her importance. Milles could see everyone turn to the suited lady as one as a hushed whisper broke out.

It was not long before they were being escorted by a guard to another area.

"The principal was waiting for you Miss Sha" the guard's tone was flattering but secretary Sha had no eyes for him.

Milles just followed her lead and entered the office once she did.

The principal was an old man well into his 60's but his eyes spoke of a sharp mind. His smile seemed friendly enough but there was something about his eyes that made Milles stand on edge.

He was a formidable opponent in and outside of battle.

"Ah, Miss Sha, I had been waiting for you. And this must be Misha Raycraft, adopted son of Mr. Raycraft" the old man's voice sounded fragile but Milles felt the power emitting out of him.

He had to be careful with such an opponent in front of him.

"Ah yes, he is indeed the one. Mr. Raycraft was hoping that you would sympathize with his situation and adjust his schedule accordingly" Miss Sha's words held no fire but they still sounded like an order.

And the threat was clear in that voice. The female would not back down till she got what she came for.

"I see. I will do everything possible in my hand to make sure Mr. Raycraft has an easy life here. Now, I believe I called for a senior to come here and accompany Mr. Raycraft to his new dorm" as soon as those words left the elder's mouth, the door opened.

"You called for me Principal?" the person who arrived could only have been a student but nothing on her person spoke of such.

"Emma, this here is Misha Raycraft, the adopted son of president Raycraft. Please show him to his new dorm and help him settle down" the female looked sour as Milles made his way toward her.

"So he's the Type Null everyone's been going harp about? He looks like a runt" Ema seemed to not think much of him and she let her words known to everyone.

The principal looked a little red in the face after that comment but he made no move to correct the teen either.

It was only after a glare that the principal seemed to get his head in the game and he cleared his throat.

"Emma, be nice. Mr. Raycraft could very well be the next president. You may never know whom you are offending" the principal looked serious but his voice seemed as if he was jesting.

The girl, Emma let out a loud laugh at those words.

"A-As if. Everyone knows Xion is going to be the next president no matter what. I don't even know what the president was thinking about taking this kid in. Maybe a charity case since he has no magic? He's trying to cover up for his mistake" Emma sounded on the verge of collapsing from laughter.

Secretary Sha seemed to be on the verge of snapping, her hands balled into a fist. It was clear that she had been taking all those words seriously.

And Milles was not the only one who noticed this either.

The principal seemed to have realized that Emma had landed on a landmine and quickly interfered to correct the situation.

"Emma, clearly you have used a little too much magic today and are not in your right mind. I'm sure Mr. Raycraft would not mind exploring the academy on his own" Emma finally seemed to have gotten the message that she messed up.

She did not wait around to face secretary Sha's anger.

"It seems as if your academy's students have a lot of time to gossip. Maybe you are not challenging them enough" secretary Sha's jab seemed to have worked and the principal finally looked fully embarrassed.

"I assure you that Emma is a special case. But I can see that she's not a suitable choice. But I'm sure Mr. Raycraft is a sensible student and can find his way around the academy" the principal repeated his words.

He had already dug his grave and had to live with the consequences now.

"Indeed, Mr. Raycraft can. Well then, you can go and explore on your one now Master Misha. I'm sure the assistant on the main counter would be smart enough to add you to the database and allow you access to the grounds" secretary Sha seemed to be taking a jab at the principal with those words.

The principal coughed but nodded along with Secratory Sha's words.

"Indeed. I shall message them to add you. Just get your biometrics scanned by them and you are ready to go" Milles did not wait around for the principal to add anything more.

The assistant on the front desk was helpful enough to add his data into the database and Milles was ready to explore the grounds.

Along with the ground access, he had also been given a map of the academy.

The first stop had to be the dorms and to get his stuff settled down. He had been informed that his stuff had already been delivered to his new room.

So all he had to do was to make his way to his new dorm.

Which was not easy to find even with a map in his hand. Milles was sure he had already gotten lost and it had not even been an hour yet.

Why was the academy ground so huge?

Everywhere he saw, he could only see students. It was also here he finally got to see his first look at proper magic in this era.

A group of students seemed to be standing around, looking at the pair fighting in the middle. Both students looked ruffled and Milles found it difficult to have a proper look with his lack of height.

"Yeah, beat him now. Show him who's the boss" cheers erupted as one of the fighters finally managed to knock the other down.

There was a transparent window in front of both students with a familiar neural system symbol.

"System, magic sequence B-1 activate" the student who had been knocked down almost yelled before he activated the magic.

[Magic sequence B-1 activated successfully. Frozen Icicles]

The waves of magic converged and formed ice spears. As soon as they formed, they were launched at the opponent who just looked bored.

"System, sequence A-2 activate. Melt it all down" everyone watched as the icicles were engulfed by fire and were reduced to harmless water.

[Magic sequence A-2 activated successfully. Fire Spin]

The successful defense caused the loser to panic even more.

"S-system, magic sequence B-4 activate" fatigue was clear in that voice but the student continued.

[Error: Magic sequence B-4 could not be activated.

Reason: Insufficient magic resources. The user is advised to master the sequence before trying again]

Laughter erupted from the group and the student finally seemed to have accepted his defeat.

"You lost the bet. Now come with me, we have work to do" the winner gloated and the crowd finally left.

So that had been magic, huh. It had changed so much in the times Milles had been away. Still, it was something that he had created and he could not help but be in awe.

"How foolish, getting happy with such small victories. If it were me, the other would not even get an attack in. What about you? You seem to be a new face" Milles felt his soul leave his body as the voice reached his ear.

He looked around but there seemed to be no one around him.

And then someone jumped down from the tree and scared Milles half to death.
