Chapter 98: Female Guests in the Men's Dormitory

"Oh? So, you are planning to whisk Zhang Fan away, you sly cat! This calls for divine retribution!" Bai Xue sneered darkly, her aura transforming sinisterly. Without hesitation, she brandished her katana and slashed towards Aria.

"I'm not! There's no 'whisking away' happening, stop making wild assumptions!" Aria, displaying her adept hand-to-hand combat skills, parried Bai Xue's attack. Although Bai Xue wasn't attacking with her full strength, the fact that Aria could fend off her katana was praiseworthy.

"Both of you, when will this end?" Zhang Fan finally lost his patience. If the quarrel continued, his room would turn into a battlefield, a prospect he was not keen on.

Both Bai Xue and Aria winced as Zhang Fan's 'loving' iron fists made contact with their heads. Glaring at him, both girls sat down, nursing their sore heads. Sayana, on the other hand, watched the scene unfold, standing obediently beside Zhang Fan. Her astuteness today contrasted sharply with her usual clumsy nature.

"Ouch, Zhang Fan," Bai Xue looked at him with a pitiful expression, her eyes brimming with hurt.

"What was that for?" Aria, on the other hand, glared at Zhang Fan, infuriated by the unexpected blow to her head.

"Enough of this! If you want to fight, do it outside, not in my room! Learn from Sayana, see how well-behaved she is!" Zhang Fan admonished Aria while affectionately patting Sayana's head.

Sayana beamed with joy at receiving her teacher's praise. Meanwhile, Bai Xue and Aria sulked, fearing they might have fallen out of favor with Zhang Fan.

"I'm sorry, Zhang Fan, I acted impulsively," Bai Xue bowed deeply, showing her willingness to admit and correct her mistake. Aria, however, turned and stormed off to the room, feeling unfairly treated and misunderstood.

"As long as you realize your mistake. Aria and I are merely teammates, nothing like what you're imagining," Zhang Fan sighed, massaging his temples. Sayana, noticing his discomfort, quickly began massaging his shoulders, her thoughtfulness shining through her clumsiness.

"But even teammates shouldn't live together," Bai Xue protested softly, her lips pursed in discontent. Then, struck by an idea, she declared, "Young men and women shouldn't cohabit, but there's a workaround. One man and one woman can't, but if there's an additional person, it's acceptable. I've decided! I'm moving in to live with Zhang Fan."

"What? I also want to live with my teacher," Sayana chimed in, her eyes gleaming with hope and determination as she gazed at Zhang Fan.

"Fine, whatever you say," Zhang Fan resignedly agreed. One sheep is herded, two are just as manageable. His dorm could accommodate them, and he was past caring about the chaos that might ensue.

"Great!" Bai Xue cheered and dashed out, probably to gather her belongings from her previous dorm.

"Then, I'll also take my leave, teacher," Sayana said politely before leaving. Determined not to lose to Bai Xue or Aria, she was resolved to stake her claim on Zhang Fan.

After everyone left, Zhang Fan sighed and tidied up the living room. His life had become a whirlwind of female attention and drama. The next morning, Bai Xue and Sayana left early for their respective responsibilities, leaving Zhang Fan and Aria to head to school together.

Riding his RR motorcycle, Zhang Fan reflected on whether it was time to buy a car. With four people living in the dorm now, a motorcycle was hardly sufficient. As they zoomed towards the Tokyo Military Detective High School, Zhang Fan couldn't help but think that his life had taken an unexpected turn, for better or worse.
