Bab 3: Up

Two months later, Vell arrived in the city of Serrano after facing many obstacles. He walked into the city's main gate, covered in blood. People in the city did not care about him because the city was ruled by criminals and filled with nobles, outlaws, and travelers who wanted to buy goods there, including slaves.

Vell went to the slave market to look for Yana. But when he asked around, he couldn't find her. He heard that the girl he was looking for had been sold for 9.4 million Zina by a man from the Grandeur Kingdom. After hearing this, Vell immediately searched for a map to find the location of the kingdom but was stopped by a man.

Man: "Excuse me, young man. What are you looking for?"

Vell: "I'm looking for the Grandeur Kingdom. I need to find someone there."

Man: "I'm sorry, but the Grandeur Kingdom is not easy to enter for ordinary people like us."

Vell: "Please, can you tell me how to get there?"

Man: "I'm afraid I can't help you. But I advise you not to go there. It's a dangerous place, especially for someone like you."

Vell left the slave market with a heavy heart. That night, he slept on the street like many other people in the city. To survive, Vell had to steal more than 100 Zina a day to make a living. He did this for four months until he was caught by an outsider in Serrano.

Outsider: "Hey, you there! Stop right there!"

Vell tried to run away, but the outsider caught him.

Outsider: "What are you doing here? Why are you stealing?"

Vell: "I have no choice. I need to survive."

Outsider: "What's your name?"

Vell: "My name is Vell."

Outsider: "I see. My name is Farah. Follow me. I'll take you to my home."

Farah brought Vell to her house because she felt sorry for him. Vell was amazed by her magic skills, war strategies she had been involved in, sword fighting skills, and many more.

Farah: "So, Vell, why did you come to Serrano?"

Vell: "I came to find someone who was taken from me. Her name is Yana. But I heard that she was sold to the Grandeur Kingdom."

Farah: "Oh, I see. The Grandeur Kingdom is not an easy place to go. It's filled with dangers and powerful people."

Vell: "But you will help me right?"

Farah: "No. Sorry Vell

Vell look sad

Farah: "Vell, I understand how you feel about it. It must be really tough for you."

Vell: "Yes, it is. I feel like I've been searching for her forever."

Farah: "I wish I could help you, but the kingdom of Grandeur is not an easy place to enter. It's heavily guarded and dangerous."

Vell: "I know, I've heard that too. But I can't just give up on Yana. "

Farah: "I understand. But what if I told you that I could teach you some magic? With the right skills, you might be able to get into Grandeur and find Yana."

Vell: "Magic? Are you serious?"

Farah: "Yes, I am. I have some powerful spells that could be useful in your quest. But first, you need to rest and regain your strength. Come, let's go to the dining hall and get some food."

The next day, Farah brought Vell to a room filled with ancient books and magical artifacts.

Farah: "This is where I keep all my magical knowledge. I've spent years studying and mastering these spells. Now, I want to pass them on to you."

Vell: "Thank you, Farah. I don't know how to repay you for this."

Farah: "You don't need to. Helping you is reward enough for me. Now, let's get started. The first spell I'm going to teach you is called Teleportation. It allows you to instantly transport yourself to any location you desire. But be careful, it requires a lot of concentration and can be dangerous if not used correctly."

Vell: "I understand. Show me how to do it."

Farah spent the next few weeks teaching Vell the basics of magic. He learned how to cast spells, use magical objects, and defend himself against enemies. He was amazed at how quickly he was picking up these skills.

One day, Farah asked him to demonstrate his newly acquired skills.

Farah: "Vell, I want you to show me what you've learned. Cast a spell for me."

Vell concentrated and muttered a few words under his breath. Suddenly, a burst of flames shot out of his fingertips and hit the target that Farah had set up.

Farah: "Impressive. You're a natural at this. With a bit more practice, you'll be ready to face the dangers that lie ahead."

Vell: "Thank you, Farah. I couldn't have done this without you."

Farah: " Don't thank me yet, maybe you natural good on magic but how about combat, fighting skill, and your martial arts?"

Farah suddenly attack Vell with her martial arts and make Vell falling down

"Get up, Vell," Farah said as she extended her hand towards Vell.

Vell took Farah's hand and pulled himself up. "What was that?" he asked, feeling a bit disoriented.

"That was a test," Farah said. "I wanted to see if you were ready to face the dangers of the real world. Clearly, you're not."

"I don't understand," Vell said, still feeling a bit shaken from the unexpected attack.

"You have the knowledge, but you lack the experience," Farah said. "There's only so much you can learn from books and training. To truly master the art of magic, you must be able to apply it in real-life situations."

Vell nodded in understanding. "So, what do I do now?"

"You need to practice more," Farah said. "I'll teach you some combat techniques that you can use to defend yourself. But it will take time, dedication, and discipline."

"I'm willing to do whatever it takes," Vell said, determination in his voice.

Farah smiled. "Good. That's what I like to hear. Let's get started then." She led Vell to a secluded area and began to teach him various combat techniques, including hand-to-hand combat and the use of weapons.

As the days passed, Vell trained tirelessly under Farah's guidance. He learned how to cast spells quickly and efficiently, and how to use his surroundings to his advantage. He also learned how to strategize and plan his moves, anticipating his opponent's next move.

Slowly but surely, Vell began to gain confidence in his abilities. He knew he still had a long way to go, but he was determined to become a master of magic and combat.

Four years have passed, and on a hill filled with beautiful and giant grass, Vell was in a fierce battle with a giant. Vell managed to defeat the giant with only a few attacks. After that, Vell went home carrying the giant.

"Farah, I'm home," Vell called out to Farah as he entered the house.

However, Farah did not answer, and Vell noticed that she was staring off into space. Vell assumed that Farah was lost in thought and touched her gently. Suddenly, Farah's body tensed up.

"Is everything okay, Farah?" Vell asked, concerned.

Farah looked at Vell but remained silent. Vell let it go and decided to leave her alone. The next day, Vell went hunting in the forest to sell his catch. After he finished hunting, Vell returned home to find Farah's house in flames.

"Farah, where are you?" Vell shouted as he looked around for her.

Vell saw Farah's head mounted on a spear, and he was shocked and confused because everything had happened so suddenly.
