21 Chapter 21

"Harder!"

*Clang!

"Harder!"

*Clang!

"I said harder!"

*Clang!!

"Good! Keep it that way."

In a smithy, sat Max with a tall bulky woman with black hair and black eyes.

Max was hammering on the red piece of blade while the woman was standing right next to him while giving pointers.

"I hate this job!"

"Don't complain! You have orders to finish! Continue!"

The clanging mixed with shouts of frustration echoed throughout the streets of Bravil.

Many people were curious at the beginning but they got used to it since it happened so often.

The door of the smithy opened and came in Vincent together with a new face. "Hello Tadrose still as beautiful as always."

"Oh shut it Vincent. Why are you here?"

"Oh I was planning on getting my stuff and our new guy here, Derek, wants to place some orders. Is he in the back?"

"Can't you hear the sounds?" She said while gesturing backwards with her finger.

*Clang

"Hey! HARDER!" She yelled.

"Oh, shut it old hag!" And another yell came back from the smithy.

*Clang!!

"Haha I'll go to him then. Come Derek, you should meet our blacksmithing prodigy." Vincent said as he went to the smithy.

Max was heating up the piece of blade when they come in so he noticed them quickly.

"Yo Wrought Iron. How are you doing?"

"Don't call me that bastard."

*Whistle "Who knew that just by working in the forge for five months, you would change this much."

"Do you want me to shove this blade right up your ass Vincent?" Max asked as he showed the red blade which was heated by the furnace.

"Easy there easy there, is my sword done?"

Vincent asked while trying to placate Max.

"Its there." Max said while pointing with his head.

There stood a lot of swords on the rack but Vincent recognized his partner instantly.

He grabbed the scabbard and pulled the sword out.

*Shing

"Gods damn! A piece of art as always Max." Vincent said while admiring the blade.

There were no signs of the chips and cracks from before. The sword was in pristine condition, as if it was never used for combat purposes.

"You had almost butchered the blade! I worked my ass off to repair it. I still don't know why I accepted that commission." Max said while still working.

"Thank you man. You know this sword has been with me for over 11 years. I appreciate it." Vincent said. "Oh before I forget, this is the new guy, Derek. He wants his dagger repaired." He said while pushing Derek from the shoulders.

"I'm a huge fan!" Derek said while reaching with his hand for a handshake.

"Fan?" Max asked.

"Yeah don't you know? You became quite famous around these parts. Hell you even got a commission from the Imperial City! Everyone knows Wrought Iron swords are the best quality there is. Except for Skyforge that is, but I'm not too sure." Vincent said.

"So that's why my workload increased so much!! You damn bastards!" Max shouted furiously.

"Hey calm down man. Nobody sees you as the kid you were when you first came here. Chill." Vincent tried to placate once again.

"Sir Wrought Iron, I want you to repair my heirloom. It was left from my grandfather and in succession to me. It has sentimental value to me." He took the dagger from his belt and passed it to Max.

"Stop with Wrought Iron. Just call me Max lime everyone else." Max said while checking out the sword.

"Nobody calls you that. Only Tadrose." Vincent intercepted but soon found that he made a huge mistake as tens of hammers were projected in the air. "Oh shit! Run!" He grabbed Derek and made a break for it before the hammers found their skulls.

In the meanwhile, Max was still inspecting the dagger. While it looked like a dagger, was shaped like a dagger. Its name actually had sword in it. Azoth Sword. 'This is good.' He thought.

Azoth Sword wasn't meant for hacking and slashing. It was to be used in rituals that required high amounts of magic. The sword could store magical energy in it to be used at a later time.

His arsenal got more versatile with the addition of this sword. He was almost about to make the commission free but gave up on that thought. Because it would take him a lot of effort to restore the sword to its original form.

With that he got to work.

"Phew we were almost about to turn into paste." Vincent said as he wiped his sweat.

"He was totally different from how I was imagining him to be." Derek said while wiping his sweat too.

"It was a surprise right? Who would expect the famous Wrought Iron to be a young boy? Haha"

"Why are you calling him Wrought Iron?"

"I don't know it too well either. It just sort of happened. When he first came here, he looked like an energetic kid who dreamt of becoming a blacksmith. And after working with Tadrose, he became so different. He became more short tempered, had a gloomy air around him and had eyes bags from sleep deprivation."

"Just like he was over worked?"

"Yeah. He was over worked, so people started calling him Worked Iron. You know, since he is working with iron. And after that it became Wrought Iron and it sticked."

"Ah I see. Makes sense… I guess." Derek nodded.

"And on top of being an amazing blacksmith, he is also both a hunter and a magus."

"Yes, I figured him being a magus. Those weapon appeared out of thin air."

"He is also a maniac that uses swords as arrows and axes and hammers as projectiles."

"Swords as arrows? How does that work?" He was confused.

"Don't ask me. That's why I'm saying he is a maniac. You would be able to see that if you go on mission with him." Said Vincent.

"I hope it will happen."
