Chapter eighteen: the rejection

Heaven Alizah Dianne's pov:

Before l knew it, Adira took full control of me and slapped her hard. Everyone gasped, 'didn't they just said that we have the permission to fight back, then why did they gasped' Delia said. 'That was a nice slap Adira' l praised my demon. Samantha's jaws dropped, she looked so shocked. "You slapped me" she said. "It seems, it is pointless trying to talk sense into you" l said as shook my head. "You will regret this" she said as she cried, and ran off. I'm guessing she is going to report me to the king. "Is she crying?" I asked, although l've only been here for a day, l can tell that it's not like her to cry and run way like a little kid. "I guess you really got to her" said Xavier. "Phmm, got to her?, That bitch never reason. She is definitely going to tell the king about it" Stephenie scoffed. "l think l did wrong by slapping her like that" l said remorsely, that was a lie, l want to slap her again. "Trust me, you did well" said Lucas. "Don't worry, you don't have to say anything in front of the king, we'll protect you" said Xavier. "No, it's okay. I'll just accept my punishment" l said. "Hey, what did l just say?, You don't have to say anything" said Xavier. Surprisingly, when we got to the king's room, she wasn't there. We all paid our respect. " Is everyone ready?" Said the king. "Yes" we said in unison. " Where is Samantha?, It's not like her to be late." He said. "How are we supposed to know where she is?" Lucas said. "Lucas, just because you don't like her doesn't mean you should answer me rudely whenever l ask about her" The king said calmly. " I'm sorry Eugene, just that the mention of that girl's name, gets on my nerves" said Lucas. Eugene chuckled, "l know". And with that we walked out of the room and made our way to the event. The festival venue, is in a big hall where all the nobles, and junior kings across the kingdom will gather to welcome the royal family of Dekrish and will celebrate together. Normally, after that the king and queen will ride around the kingdom in a car or carriage, and the people will shower phoenix blossoms on them as they pass. Then the king and queen will go to the alter, and will both put a drop of their blood on the phoenix symbol on the alter. And then the phoenix will fly out of the symbol, and fly all over the kingdom, showering it's energy and blessings on the kingdom. But since there is no queen, the king won't go to the alter. He will just go back to the hall and continue the celebration there.

Samantha's pov:

I can't believe this, ever since l became the king's mistress. No one has ever talked to me anyhow. That girl Heaven, how dare she hit me . She even talked to me rudely. I will make her pay for this. She will pay for humiliating me like that. But first, l'll make sure Eugene punishes her. But as much as l hate to admit it, what that bitch said was right. I've been claiming to be his mate, but Eugene is just having sex with me like it is nothing. No matter what , l won't let him slip away from me. I will be the queen, l have already rejected my mate , and he has also rejected me too, so there is no going back now. He waited for me for a long time, but when he finally realized that l wasn't going to go back to him, he rejected me as well. Flash back : l was coming from the king's room, after a hot love making, then felt his presence. I entered my room and as l thought , he was in there, on my bed. "Sebastian, what are you doing here?" I barked at him. "We need to talk Samantha" he said calmly. "There is nothing to talk about, l have already rejected you as my mate. And there is nothing that's going to stop me from being the queen" l barked. "Aren't you even going to consider me" he said, anyone could hear the pain in his voice. "No" l said without any remorse. "Fine then, let's end it completely" he said. And l felt like my world stopped. Why l'm l being affected?, Isn't this what l want. "Although you rejected me, l didn't accept the rejection. So the bond is still there, and l'm always in pain. So let's end it now, l want to move on. I Sebastian Alaric Walker reject you Samantha Jones as my mate" he said without hesitating. And with that the remaining part of the mate bond faded. He stood up and teleported out of my room. I don't why but the rejection hurted like hell. End of flashback. I don't know why, the rejection still hurts. Sebastian has already found his second chance mate, and they are married now. When ever l see them, l sometimes feel a little regret. But it doesnt matter , because l will be the queen one day.
